Cashier worker had a big smile and seemed friendly. I was really excited to try their burgers because they are grass fed patties and look very delicious and juicy from the pictures. I particularly enjoy mushroom and Swiss burgers because I feel like they're so hard to fine. Yeah they are such an amazing combination on a burger. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger without mustard. It was $7.75 for just the burger. Why was this burger so disappointing? A few points: - the beef patty (who should be star of the show) was so thin and flat!!, it was bland and sad. - Mayo and mustard on a mushroom and Swiss burger? The Mayo was fine. But to have a mushroom garlic sauce would have made it so much closer to an actual mushroom & Swiss - not enough grilled onions or mushrooms - not sure if Toxic Burgers always have crispy cheese? but mine tasted like old grill. With the burger, it really left so much to be desired because I felt I was mainly eating toasted bread with hints of mushrooms. I didn't really savor the beef and could just taste burnt grill cheese. All in all, nothing like the pictures. I also had sweet potato fries (about $5 for a small). They were yummy, salted enough, and very crispy. I wish the sizes could be different considering the cost. Toxic burger says they're 99% gluten free and uses rice bran oil. Overall, sadly I won't be coming back for burgers, that's for sure.. One day I might try their milkshakes and maybe their wings. Looking at the establishment, the OPEN sign was not lit and I didn't see any patrons nor employees. So I sat in the parking lot to look on Yelp and make sure of their hours. However, the door was unlocked so I went in. I saw one staff member cleaning and everyone else was in the back. After a minute or two, a young girl came out and greeted me. I asked if they were open and she said they were. I mentioned that the OPEN sign was off. She said they turn it off early because they clean. She then called for someone that could use the slicer and make me a sub. I was served by Brian and when I mentioned that this was my first time at this location and I am from the Point Pleasant area in New Jersey (and I've been going to JM locations for over 30 years), that I would have high expectations. He apologized for the condition of the store since everyone was cleaning up. He was friendly and speedy. After reading several reviews, it appears that this location does not live up to the JM standards. I'd have given five stars but the OPEN sign made it an inconvenience.

I get up to the window after ordering, decide to donate my change to public education, lord knows these kids need all the help they can get. They told me to pull around since they were making my burger fresh. My excitement is building at this time. imagining the beautifully cooked patty, the toasty bun, and the crisp fresh vegetables that brings the sandwich to the next level. I get my food after a few minutes, and I don't mind the wait. I'm driving back to work, munching on a few fries here and there and just thinking about my delicious meal I'm about to have. Imagine my dismay when I open the wrapper and see sauce spilling out of the sandwich, pooling into puddles on my legs before i can completely unwrap the whopper. that was my first red flag. As I open the sandwich to scrape some of the excessive sauce to the side, my shock deepens when there are absolutely no vegetables on this sandwich. Maybe they ran out of pickles, onion, tomato, AND lettuce and thought "the only way to make this better is to give double the sauce, there's no way she'll notice!" Well, she noticed. And she was disappointed. I ate it of course because I was hungry and $14.50 is too much to spend on an uneaten meal. But it was definitely not the pleasant experience I had been craving all week. On another note, I have been to this location and had to wait roughly 3 minutes for my food (a perfectly acceptable wait time for a fast food place) and was given a large fry instead of a medium to "make up for the wait" so this place is definitely not all bad, hence the extra star. But damn, that was a disgraceful meal :(
