I was searching for a cheap spot and well reviewed place and stumbled across this on here. Decided to give it a shot, and boy was it worth it. We almost missed it as it is a small shop but it was really inviting and friendly when we came in. A sweet hispanic lady helped us find our table and made sure we got everything covered. She even brought out extra sauces. The food was delicious, we got onion rings, a burger, fries, and a shake. Onion rings were cooked really well, we can tell they were battered and fried. Burger was great, we got classic and it was like someone had made them at home. Fries were fresh and perfect for crinkle cut. Yummy!! What a fun and casual restaurant! The outside doesn't look like much but the inside is so colorful in U of O yellow and green colors. The star is the burgers and onion rings. Full of flavor and onion rings were crispy. I got the Hawaiian burger with pineapple and ham. Husband got the half pound Shack Burger. The candy cane milkshake was amazing! What can I say...? Just a good 'ol burger joint. Visited this shack a few times w/ the kiddos, been consistent. Has a small shelf of coloring books, play area, and menu for them chillins'. Small, quaint, cute...just like their parking lot. We have driven past this small spot many times but never stopped, and man, have we been missing out! Peggy is the sweetest lady, and she knows how to take care of her customers. I ordered the Rueben, and it was super good. The cheese was perfectly melted over the thick pieces of corned beef. He got the Big Bacon Cheeseburger and thoroughly enjoyed it. The fries came out hot and crispy. They give you three options for dips (ketchup, ranch, and fry sauce). They had a decent number of customers when we went in but still got our food quickly. It is a smaller establishment (only about 7 or 8 tables) in not the greatest part of town. But the food is well worth the short trip just outside main street/Franklin Blvd area. One of the very best "hole in the wall" burger places we have been to in a while. They also have BBQ and do brunch. The front parking lot is small, but there is more around the back. We will be adding this to our list of weekday lunch spots. read more

The hamburger was awesome! That alone makes the Snack Shack worth trying. The other reason to visit Snack Shack, this place is a legit, old school diner. There aren't many places like this left. The French fries, unfortunately had an unwanted freezer-burn taste. They serve Pepsi products here. I was disappointed to find they do not offer milkshakes. Been awhile since I've been to this place, gave it a shot with my wife. We ordered two burgers and some tots, burgers came out missing bacon and we got fries instead of tots. Also got zero drink refills. Food was ok, not a lot of seasoning on the meat. Probably won't be back on, was hoping things would be like they were years ago but they weren't. read more

I knew before I even checked this was under new ownership, this place has gone way downhill. The food was not cooked all the way and it had zero taste, I ordered a patty melt and it looked like it had never touched the grill the meat was like leather because of overcooking and the bread was soggy with butter and not cooked, the fries were soft and not crispy at all. Went here after a friend recommended we have lunch here, so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered a half order of biscuits & gravy, and a short stack of pancakes. The biscuits were tough and the gravy was just a canned gravy and not a very good one. It was very bland and there was just to much put on the plate. The pancakes were okay, nothing spectacular or different. The staff was friendly... Okay, so the location is crummy with homeless people in the area and the place itself looks like it's straight out of a non-updated 70's movie, but the food is good and the service is excellent. We sat outside today in the sun, one of the 3 tables they have. Don't even try if it rains or if it's cold, there is no cover and no heaters. You might miss it when driving there, it's tucked away from the street a bit. But don't let that look scare you. If you are in the mood for an excellent burger or a breakfast (all day breakfast), and don't want to pay premium prices, then give this place a try. So my partner and I recently moved into the area and were driving down the main drag, looking for a good lunch spot. We had passed the Snack Shack on a previous trip and decided to give it a try. The outside is old school family drive-in vibe....very nonassuming. But hunni, don't let the outside or humble inside fool you, ok? I ordered the bacon blue cheese burger w/ onion rings and my partner got the BBQ beef sandwich w/fries and coleslaw. You guys...the food was excellent. I don't know where they source their meat from, but it is quality. You can taste it. The beef sandwich was so tender! I am very picky about my fries/onion rings. I know it is strange but those are my comfort foods and they need to be right. Y'all...my onion rings were sooo golden crunchy! The fries were on point. The best suprise was discovering that both were still crisp, even hours later! The buns were perfectly toasted, and the portions sizes were generous w/o sacrificing quality. Whoever they have in the back cooking knows how to cook. The owner is such a sweet lady. She's owned the Snack Shack for 15+ years and like most restaurants, she was hit really hard by the pandemic. If this place was to close, it would really be a shame. Snack Shack is a perfect place to support if you really want to local business/economy. P.S. Beef sandwich is going off menu soon due to high overhead/menu simplification, so get over there and try it soon!! read more

I love burgers.. for the value and deliverable, wataburger, in and out and dicks in seattle school this place.. dicks has better fries as does wataburger.. and also has better shakes.. the wataburger service is also mich better. Came in for a late lunch and the waitress was extremely friendly! Ordered the half rack of ribs with cheesy tots and slaw for my sides. Then I added a chocolate banana milkshake. Milkshake was delicious!5/5. It was thick, creamy, and very enjoyable. Half rack was pretty darn big! The ribs itself were super tender and moist, but the bottom part was dried out. 3/5.
