Stopped in the other night after we floated the river. We used to dine here all of the time back when we lived in the area. We don't live close so it has been years since we have stopped in, and cooking after a float didn't sound up my alley. I didn't really have to thumb through the menu, I already had my heart set on the Impala burger. It was always one of my go to's. You can't go wrong with the pineapple ring, the bbq teriyaki sauce, and the pickle slices. I had onion rings subbed instead of fries, which are always good here as well. We also had a strawberry shake. They make one of the best shakes in town. I wish we lived closer....or not, because I would not eat at home. Haha I just love the nostalgia of this place. Nice drive-in ambience... some nice old cars parked outside. It was a really hot day, so decided to eat inside in the AC. They have around six booths and lots of seating at the horseshoe shaped counter. I sat at the counter. It was a couple of minutes before anyone showed up to bring me a menu... they were busy with other customers and take out traffic. But when my server did come, they were friendly and helpful. Ordered a classic burger with cheese and onion rings. Also ordered a small vanilla malt. Malt was delivered first... and was good. Small... maybe 6oz or so, malt flavor was noticeable but not intense. Burger... pretty average, patty was very dense (frozen foodservice patty?). It tasted ok... and the pickles on it were the star of the show. Onion rings... ok... do not appear to be hand battered (frozen?) For the price, it was an ok meal... but probably will pass in the future. read more

Food and service isn't bad at Fins Drive-In it's not the best breakfast place that I've been to but it's not bad

We came to Fins because we were craving fries and a milkshake, and they killed it. The Oreo Milkshake totally hit the spot and was such a steal for $5! The crinkle cut fries were good. Most of them had a nice crisp on the outside (and the side of ranch was so good), but some of the fries that sat at the bottom started to get a little soft. My chili burger was really good and surprisingly filling. I worried that it wouldn't fill em up when I snapped out of my reverie and was already halfway through, but I needn't have worried. My wife's patty melt left something to be desired, unfortunately. It was pretty dry and just didn't end up being very satisfying. My parents used to take us here years ago. Today, I took my 7yo grandson. I ordered an ElDorado burger it came with all the fixings and topped with an onion ring. Under $11 with FF. Kids chicken strip meal under $7... my grand says it's the best thing ever especially the Krinkle fries which are crunchy on the outside and like mashers on the inside. Super good! He subbed a roortbeer milkshake instead of the bev for an extra $2. It came in a frosted A&W mug w whipped cream and a cherry. He was pretty stoked. The portions are generous... the chicken strips definitely aren't kid-sized... for an adult. Ranch and Thousand Island are house made and very good. It's a win-win here, especially for the kids. We took our young granddaughters here for dinner last night. The dining room was busy when we arrived, but very quickly emptied out as others finished their meals and left. Despite that fact, we were kept waiting for 45 minutes from the time we ordered until the food arrived. The food quality was just so-so and the service was poor. I won't be back. read more

When in the mood for burger and milkshake, this is my place. In a 50's decor diner with friendly service and no over-the-top prices. They have the best onion rings in the area, IMO. And the (chocolate) milkshake is thick and served with whipped cream and a cherry. Can't get much more classic than that! Many flavors of milkshakes but chocolate is my favorite in that place. I seem to end up here about once a week over the last month or so. The dining room isn't open due to the Coronavirus, but at least I can drive in and order and it's all brought out to me. The best part about the drive in portion of this restaurant is I can still meet up with friends and enjoy an amazing meal. I've stopped in with a couple friends, dropped the tailgates on our trucks and stood together eating delicious food. It is covered, so if it's raining I can simply back in and still eat outside. Even after the plague is over and things open back up fully, I'll still continue the trend of using the drive in. My new favorite burger to order is the bel air with mushrooms added to it and a salad. This burger seems to be the go-to for me, my husband, and two of our friends. I've also ordered the chicken strips and they are fresh, hot, and delicious. I can't comment on the dining room or anything at the moment since it is closed. However the service in the drive in has been great every time. I'm so glad they've stayed open during the Coronavirus to make trips out just a little bit better for me and several friends, giving us a place to still gather and enjoy an amazing meal together. read more

Myself and a group of friends stopped here for a bite halfway through our day trip on the motos. We were all hungry and this place did not disappoint. We all got the soup of the day and the jalapeño bacon burger special, with onion rings. The server that took care of us was amazing. We have been devoted Fins customers since we moved here 25 years ago. They've always had good food, and great employees. Last week my wife and I got in the mood for a good old hamburger from Fins, so my wife went and got a to-go order of two hamburgers and Fries. The hamburgers were dry and rubbery. The burger bun on one of them was hard as a rock. I knocked on it and you could hear it across the room. The lettuce was slimy and terrible. We were, needless to say, terribly disappointed and surprised. My wife called the day after to complain, but was told there was no manager, and no one to talk to. She was told to call back when someone else was there so that she could register her complaint. When she called back, the person told her that she would give the owner a message to call. Another two days went by and then we got a message that Jerry had called, so my wife called him back, (She made a total of four calls, quite a ridiculous effort if this was a hoax to get less than 20.00 back), and explained the situation. She had hardly begun to describe the specifics when she was rudely told that their lettuce was never slimy, and that their buns were never hard; and apparently "this isn't the place for you". Well, I guess it isn't because I expect that when I spend money on a product, I expect to get what was promised, or be refunded for failing to deliver. After 25 years of patronage, neither we, nor our family will ever be back. I realize that one person or even a dozen are not going to make or break a business, but it sure isn't the way to run one. Caveat Emptor! read more
