I came in here for breakfast on Saturday with my husband. Addi's was slammed, so we came here instead. This is a place I've been coming to with my husband for a number of years, and we've never had a bad experience. The food was great. I ordered biscuits and gravy, and my husband ordered a combo breakfast plate with all the meats. That allowed him to share the proteins with me. I still had leftovers. The funny thing is, it's very basic breakfast food. But there are times that is exactly what I want, and it's always done exactly right. That is comforting, and there is something to be said for that. Restaurant is nice and clean, waitstaff friendly and helpful. Would I return? Absolutely. Great little breakfast place. Had a real diner look to it. After sitting down a nice waitress brought us water and the menu. We ended up ordering the stuffed hash brown combo. It came with two eggs and four meats. It was quite a filling breakfast. Our son ordered the stuffed hash brown with chorizo inside. Said it is some of the best chorizo around. I would give 3 and half stars. -delivery only review- I ordered through GH, they were the only ones to have Nutella banana Crepes in the area, and since I was craving them, I ordered them ASAP. My friend got the "3 Banana Split Pancakes". We received our order within 40 mins. I thought that was decent, considering it was a Friday morning. Plus, grilled cheese with onion rings. [Food & Cost]: The Nutella banana crepes was a "half order" and not in a combo, it was [$7.99] on GH. A half order meant I received just 2 crepes. I found that a little disappointing, since that meant 1 crepe = $4. The nutella was squeezed on and banana slices were placed on top of the crepes. The crepes themselves were too "Eggy" for my liking but they had a decent texture. However, I wouldn't be too surprised if they were store bought. It was much different from my imagination. I was hoping similar to how asian crepe shops would do it, spreading the nutella inside and placing the banana slices inside as well. Or that the crepes were made with banana taste, based on the description wording. Nope, and I should have known that. However, it did feed my craving and it was somewhat good. The "3 Banana Split pancakes" breakfast was only pancakes and not a combo for [$9.99]. This was beautiful to see and physically heavy. The pancakes were fluffy and did not get soggy through transport. The 3-stack of pancakes were topped with banana slices, chocolate chips, strawberry slices, and walnuts, and covered with strawberry syrup. It was really flavorful and had a good amount of toppings. The walnuts were a nice touch because it didn't overwhelm the flavors of the other components. The grilled cheese was only half seared (one side was crispy, otherside was pretty wet-soggy). I am not sure if it was because of delivery transportation, but I will say it was. The bread was very buttery. You can choose the bread, I choose sourdough. The cheese was artificial of course, super melty. Either kraft or velveeta, it was pretty rich. It came with about 6 onion rings, which I thought was fine considering it usually is an upgraded cost. They were greasy but not overly where it would ruin the taste. They were still crispy when I received them. The "Grilled Cheese Sandwich Lunch" was [$8.25] on GH. Overall, I would love to visit and experience the place myself. Especially to see if there are any quality changes and additional specialities. read more

Fast & friendly service. Ambiance is like a typical 60's diner. I was there during off-hours, and parking was reasonable; I could see where it would get bad during prime-time. Food is average quality. Prices are "reasonable" given our garbage economy. read more

We have tried so many items on the menu and never been disappointed. The staff is amazing, of course with as often as we go we do know them by name. Each one knows what we want when we walk in the door. It's that place that first you're a guest, second time you are part of the family. Looking for a place to eat breakfast at 11am on a Sunday, thats not crowded, I went right to yelp! We decided to give Todds a try. The place was busy, but not packed. We where seated right away. The server brought us water and menus right away. I ordered coffee and my wife a Pepsi. Going through the menu, I see that mostly everything is a heart attack waiting to happen. We are at the right spot! I ordered a vegetarian breakfast burrito. Wow! I did not expect this huge ass thing. The flavor was great (a tad too many mushrooms) and filling. I only ate half of it. I also ordered 2 pieces of sausage on the side. Those where great! So, now I need to talk about the bad part and why only 4 stars. First, when we walked in we are hit by a wave of heat. It being a mild 65 outside (granted raining but not cold) their heater is blasting. Wish that was down a bit. (The music is great, so that makes up for it I guess) 2ndly, my wife ordered a Pepsi and it took till after our food got delivered for her to get it. Absolutely horrible food. I ordered the Eggs Benedict takeout, with the hollandaise on the side. There was more sauce on the outside of the containers than in the togo cup. The food was awful. The English muffin was extremely soggy (like it had been soaking in a tub of water)the ham was tough and bland, the hashbrowns were mushy and bland as well. The hollandaise sauce had a strange taste to it, and basically I couldn't even eat any of it, except the egg which was cooked well. I definitely will not order from this restaurant again. I don't know who decided that avocado needs to be on a BLT, but it was delicious and worth the extra couple dollars I paid! The restaurant was busy, but still quiet enough to carry on a conversation. The booths were deep enough for larger/disabled people to feel comfortable sitting in them. This is always important! The service was amazing! For those familiar Todd's place used to be located in Eugene at the current location of the new Whole Foods on Franklin. Since moving to their Springfield location I have been here several times. With an ample parking lot, plenty of places to bring you and your friends. Now I will say, how fancy can you make a breakfast and if your one of those people, this is not a place for you. They're page says they're open until 2:30pm, we arrived at a quarter to two, came in and sat down only to have a "server" come over and tell us they are closed. There were a few tables with other customers. This place has awesome chicken fried steak! It's so crispy and the gravy is good. I also like to have a quick croissant with a scrambled egg and cheese. They have a good "bang for your buck" menu, not too many options but enough that everyone's happy. This includes a children's menu and an assortment of sweet and savory options. Their service is friendly and prompt. Both booth and table seating is available and they have a ton of condiments if that's your thing. Unfortunately They lack that flair; I think it's called seasoning. Now don't get me wrong, everything they do... they do well! Great even. Their poached egg in the benni, is perfect! The texture of the hollandaise sauce was spot on! However; the sauce had no flavor, just very subtle. Another good example is the crepes; they're perfectly thin and cooked perfect, the sweet blackberry sauce is a good consistency and they serve the perfect amount of it- here's the but, it's over sweet, too much to handle, and it's simple. Simple isn't bad, but simple needs a friend sometime, maybe a mixed berry or more subtle like a German crepe with lemon. Honestly overall they're a great establishment. read more

My son and I were in the Springfield area facing very few options for breakfast dining. One place, to busy. Another place... no real breakfast food, another place didn't exist. Saw a review for Todds Place just a little further down, went and very pleasantly surprised! Food was great, as if they were making it for themselves. Not sloppy, mushy, burnt or cold. Fresh, flavorful, cooked perfect. Staff very kind, quick and genuine. And.. we asked for a glass of juice- other restaurants give you a basically a sippy cup/glass for juice, this was one you would pour at home for yourself. Awesome!!! Ty! Will go again :) Update: 10/2017 Have been a few times now, the food just gets better. Even had to order to go, reheat slightly at home and it was delicious! My eggs were over cooked, chicken fried steak was clearly not made in house, gravy came from Packet, biscuits were dry, and the avocado I paid extra for was totally inedible.
