Chicken Fried Steak with Biscuits and Gravy
    Charlie G.

I have been seeing a lot of good reviews for Hey Ya'lls... especially for their Chicken Fried Steak / Biscuits and Gravy combo. So naturally I had to try it. Lunchtime, after all! Nice little food truck park up on Barger... easy to find and get to. Went up to the window and ordered Chicken Fried Steak! Service was ok. Got a remote alarm to let me know when the meal was ready. Ordered a bottled water also. Remote went off... got my food. It was good! Large piece of chicken fried steak, hot and crispy. Large biscuit (halved), and LOTs of yummy gravy. Little heavy on the pepper for my tastes.. but was very good. I ate it all! Good portions.... I was adequately full, without over doing it. All in all, a good experience!

It was good but a bit pricey. Paying $36 for a food truck breakfast kinda hurt a little. We ordered a full order of chipped beef, which was good but we'd get regular sausage and gravy next time. We also ordered the hot honey chicken biscuit and they charged us an extra dollar to put the honey on the side (and it was not a large amount of honey by any means). We got two iced Arnold palmers which were good. The star was really the homemade biscuits. Every table was filthy - if I owned a food truck I'd wipe them down every day. It was breakfast, early in the morning, they were the only truck open, but they clearly didn't take any time to wipe the tables down at the start of their day.

    Fried Chicken Sandwich

Winner winner chicken sandwich! The Extended Jam - Chicken fried to perfection with a tasty Reality Kitchen bun. Nice crunch from the cole slaw and sweet from the hot honey bacon jam. The pimento cheese was a bit of an afterthought but contributed well to the melange of flavors. 5 stars! Fried Chicken Sandwich - Very basic as described. Got it with the pimento cheese but again was barely perceptible. Maybe they were running out?? For the price I'd get one of the other sandwiches. 4 stars. French Fries - Very small order of fries and nothing extraordinary for $4 - would had expected more. 3 stars. Lemonade - Super fresh and refreshing! Minimal pulp. 4 stars. Outstanding customer service! We were miffed about our online ordering experience since we got up charged for our meal and we received a super compassionate response and complimentary lemonade. We usually hit Tucky's for chicken sandwiches but wanted to give this a try. I'm guessing breakfast and biscuits is the way to go here so we'll definitely have to come back for that!

To start it's a food truck tucked away but does have picnic tables. I ordered online and the food was ready on time. I had the chicken biscuit and the bacon, sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. The biscuits can absolutely stand alone. I would likely do the bacon and sausage or just biscuits. I didn't get a chance to go back while visiting but absolutely would.

I took my whole family to Hey Y'all on one of the recent hot and sunny days. I'm not a fan of the heat, but this meal made it worth it. We got an SOS, an Uncle Benny, and the Sunday brunch Chicken and French Toast, as well as Arnold palmers and a Red Bull. It was 5/5 amazing. The SOS brought a couple of us back to our childhood, it was classic and delicious. The Benny was perfectly cooked, the biscuits were fluffy and light, and the gravy was creamy, peppery, and so good! The chicken fell apart when you bit it, this will be my new fried chicken spot, it was amazing. The French toast was custardy and sweet. This is one of my new favorite spots! The owners were so kind, and even gave us an extra drink for free they accidentally made. The spot was hot, but had covered seating and lots of other options, a great food cart pod. All in all, I could not recommend this more!

I got the chicken biscuit and biscuit sandwich, and oh my goodnessssss I feel in love. I've had hey yall a few times now and I CANNOT GET ENOUGH!! I'm from Ohio so biscuits and gravy are my thang so when I say these biscuits are TO DIE FOR, they 100% are. I'd have these as my last meal in life if I could.

Excellent southern biscuits! We read about this in the Eugene Weekly's story about hot honey. My husband and I both got the hot honey chicken breakfast sandwich with pimento cheese spread. Nice tender biscuits, just the right amount of messy-fall-apart. Saturday grocery runs are going to be tastier this school year!

Drove a few miles to try their biscuits and gravy and it was well worth it. Best biscuits and gravy I have ever had!

Tried out ColdFire Brewing Company and had a really good experience overall. The food was solid,…read moreservice was fine, and the fried pickle appetizer plus the chips were definitely worth ordering. My only complaint was that they were out of mac and cheese as a side order, but somehow still had it available if you ordered the rib platter, a little confusing. What really makes this place stand out is the great selection of beers and cocktails. The space feels clean, modern, and new, which makes it an easy place to hang out. I just wish they had a larger outdoor seating area instead of the small patio with only a few chairs. Overall, we'll definitely be back for the food and drinks. Cheers!

We went to their new public house for dinner on a Wednesday and the place was hopping. Their new…read morebuilding is very cool (and not quite done yet!). The new public house is pretty much behind their original spot, overlooking Coburg Road. We sat in a booth with very tall walls that felt very private but I don't feel like I could tell you the vibe of the rest of the restaurant. Since I was sitting in the back of the booth, I could only see two other tables that were along the windows and the traffic going by in the dark. Next time we'll ask not to sit in a booth so we can see more of the restaurant. Our server informed us that the public house was split into two sections. We were in the full-service restaurant part and there was a more casual (order at the counter?) section by the front door for people that just wanted to grab a beer and sit at a communal table. Our server was excellent. Not the typical Eugene service from him! He answered our questions about the beers and brought us tastes and had all the answers ready about the food. They were out of two things (understandable at such a new spot) but I noticed that they had already changed their menu a few times in the few short weeks they've been opened. Yay for seasonal menus!! Our party went super basic and we all ordered the Butter Burger (the butter is mixed into the patty so it helps the burger caramelize) which came with fries. We also split the grilled potato salad(served chilled), which was a good sized portion to split with our group of five. My kiddo got the wings (sauceless) and fries. We'll be back to try more of the menu items and sit at a table without walls.
