I recently moved back to the Valley after many moons of being gone. I moved to the Whit and I hadn't been able to explore my neighborhood to much since I got here. I ended up needing a Carotid Artery Dissection and eating has been a challenge this last few weeks. Today I tried out the Mac Stroganoff with Braised beef with homemade crispy onions and a light cream sauce. It was very delicious, then the gentlemen gave me a homemade Marshmallow to try and it melted right in my mouth. Thank you kindly man. I will be back down the trail. First time here, and I found some really good food. Yes, that is cheese grilled into the bun. I got the braisedwich with stewed beef pickled onions, cheese and lemon aioli. This thing was delicious. For hubby, got the barbecue pork sando. I tried it before he got home and can tell you it was delicious as well. Then I put it back together so it would look like l'd never touched it. Yes, that's what you have to put up with if you're married to me. Oh, before I went in, I learned that everything here is gluten free. So before I got there, I knew I wouldn't get the pasta. But then I forgot about it had a sandwich and never even thought about the fact that it was gluten-free bread. That really says something. For dessert, we had some nectarine strawberry custard. Braised Restaurant truly is gourmet food in a blue collar environment. They are a dedicated gluten free establishment. The Cottage Pie is my favorite! It truly is an appropriate nod to the British Empire with tender beef, peas, carrots, caramelized onions and a thick, rich beef gravy. The mash on top has a thin perfectly melted layer of cheese. The inside is seasoned perfectly and the flavors deliver that hearty European feel of a substantial meal. The Macaroni Stroganoff has that spot on taste of Beef Stroganoff but in the fun format of being in a macaroni dish. The beef, again, so tender it melts in your mouth. There are sautéed mushrooms, bacon lardons and creamy beef gravy, all combined in a bed of perfectly prepared macaroni. Crispy fried onions and a drizzle of a lemon aioli on top give it a satisfying crunch and kick of flavor. These flavors work perfectly well together and like I said, this is a prime example of gourmet food in a blue collar environment. We also tried a Mango Custard. This was very refreshing. Smooth and creamy, it has a swirl of puréed mango mixed in with a creamy custard base. No pudding knock offs here, this is a true custard. They are also bringing back a feature they call 'Braised Nights'. This will be a monthly occurrence of a three course dinner to be held on the grounds in the evening. There will be varying themes of these 'date nights' (my phrasing, not theirs) based on the season and holidays. Costs will vary depending on the menu for these special events and signups will be needed as space is limited. There are tables that are shaded with canopies as is the play area with games available for checkout. The environment here is very conducive to staying and dining on site. I love Braised. Brought a friend on Sunday, and once again, the polenta bowl was amazing. I added beef this time. Outstanding depth of flavor, the tender beef, the creamy polenta- There was much rejoicing. It is deeply satisfying food. This time, added the seasonal soda- blueberry- my friend had mango. Both are worth getting again- very bright, sparkly and refreshing in the heat. We tried the mango custard -seasonal fruit dessert. Are we on a cruise? Alan is amazing- a genius with food, and a friendly businessman. I find the food excellent and in conflict with traditional food truck stereotypes. You can take the food to go for a meal tomorrow! We were in town for the Eugene Marathon and looking for gluten free carbs and yumminess. This place fit the bill. We ordered online which was the way to go and limited our wait. We both got the fries with meat on top. The fries were a little blonde but the meat was tasty. Especially liked the lemon aioli with the braised beef. Also tried the chicken and waffle special and it was a hit. The guy cooking and working was doing amazing and working his buns off. Definitely recommend. read more

So good! I love bread, and usually have a hard time with gluten free alternatives not coming close to comparison of the real thing. Alan's homemade GF rolls are incredible. The beef was tender and flavorful. An overall enjoyable sandwich. The best part was how personable Alan was! He was so bummed to be out of his current seasonal flavored soda for me that he whipped up a sample of next week's flavor for me to try (strawberry nectarine) and it was amazing! Stopped by for lunch. The owner was really helpful with questions about his menu. Ordered Return of the Mac with pork. Has a nice shaded area for seating. My food was incredibly delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the crunch of the crispy onions was a nice texture contrast to the creamy, cheesy macaroni. Looking forward to returning to order more items on his menu.
