I love Braised. Brought a friend on Sunday, and once again, the polenta bowl was amazing. I added beef this time. Outstanding depth of flavor, the tender beef, the creamy polenta- There was much rejoicing. It is deeply satisfying food. This time, added the seasonal soda- blueberry- my friend had mango. Both are worth getting again- very bright, sparkly and refreshing in the heat. We tried the mango custard -seasonal fruit dessert. Are we on a cruise? Alan is amazing- a genius with food, and a friendly businessman. I find the food excellent and in conflict with traditional food truck stereotypes. You can take the food to go for a meal tomorrow! It reheats nicely-

So good! I love bread, and usually have a hard time with gluten free alternatives not coming close to comparison of the real thing. Alan's homemade GF rolls are incredible. The beef was tender and flavorful. An overall enjoyable sandwich. The best part was how personable Alan was! He was so bummed to be out of his current seasonal flavored soda for me that he whipped up a sample of next week's flavor for me to try (strawberry nectarine) and it was amazing! I have to go back and try that Mac and cheese soon!

Stopped by for lunch. The owner was really helpful with questions about his menu. Ordered Return of the Mac with pork. Has a nice shaded area for seating. My food was incredibly delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the crunch of the crispy onions was a nice texture contrast to the creamy, cheesy macaroni. Looking forward to returning to order more items on his menu. Definitely excited to try one of his specials.

Delicious and unique food (with stunning preparation), fantastic wine and cocktails, and impeccable service (Geo and Sarah are VERY knowledgeable about the menu and were extremely helpful to us as we ordered) and it's all set in a restaurant with a beautiful ambiance. Chef Andrew also came out and spoke with us about the food when delivering some of the dishes to our table which was such a nice touch. We absolutely loved it and we couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of our trip! HIGHLY recommend for anyone that loves food and great dining experiences without paying an astronomical price for it! :).

We had a good experience here, but I'm not sure we'll be back. I wanted to love it but there were…read moreseveral things that detracted from our experience (especially for the price.) Our server Geo was outstanding and the hostess who seated us was, too. The service is really friendly and warm, no complaints with the front of house staff. (Although I do think the long explanation from the hostess could be cut down, I think it slows down the speed at which tables get sat, and it's also kind of awkward--I know I haven't been to *this* restaurant before, but I'm familiar with the concept of them, and of menus.) We sat on the patio because I'd read was loud inside and I have some hearing loss, so this was a good choice (plus it was a pleasant evening.) I sat on the wooden bench, and unfortunately, when I got up to leave after the meal, the back of my dress was covered in something sticky. My dress is black, so it was hard to tell what it was, but it felt tacky, like the consistency of either the sticky excrements of aphids that coats everything this time of year, or the finish and/or paint on the bench itself. I'm hoping it comes out in the wash! So, be careful if you're sitting on the bench seating on the patio. The food was good but I think I was expecting a little more. It took a long time to come out--we were on a date so we didn't mind the wait, and I understand that it's a whole dining experience and good food can take time, etc. But I was disappointed that three of our dishes also came out a little bit cold. It was on us for not addressing this at the time with the server, but we were hungry by that point and just wanted to eat. Three of the four dishes (pierogis, cod, and corn dumplings) were also a bit over-salted--like, my spouse and I both noticed this independently from each other. The salmon pierogi dough also seemed a little undercooked on the outside (not as crispy as I'm used to with a pierogi) and also kind of bitter, but I'm not sure why. The corn dumplings were probably my favorite part of the meal--the sauce is incredible. The white sea bass dish (substituted for cod on the night we were there) was well-cooked, and the sauces were good--spicy and sweet. The pea tartine was delicious, too, and the only dish that wasn't too salty. The shaved peas were so crisp and refreshing and the pea pesto was good too. My only complaint is there was a LOT of the pesto on it, so that it was hard to eat, hard to even find the bread on the plate to pick it up, and the bread was so hard to cut with the flimsiness of the serrated knives provided, so it was hard to get a small bite without making a mess either way. Despite the small portions, the food is rich, and so while some of the meal was lacking, we left generally happy with full bellies.

A noticeable decline at Marco Polo Global Restaurant…read more It is with genuine disappointment that I share how significantly Marco Polo Global Restaurant has changed--and not for the better. Having been a loyal patron for years, I was unaware that the restaurant had undergone an ownership change approximately one year ago. Unfortunately, the shift in management has been accompanied by a marked decline in both service and food quality. Service Concerns Table service fell well below expectations. Our server did not introduce herself, nor did she demonstrate any gestures of hospitality throughout the meal. Twice, plates were handed to us stacked, leaving the guests to distribute them ourselves--an approach inconsistent with professional table service. Water glasses were never refilled, and there was a general lack of attentiveness to our table. Menu Changes The menu has been reduced to a simple two‑sided laminated sheet, a stark departure from the former Marco Polo menu that once offered an impressive variety of thoughtfully curated dishes. Food Quality The food, regrettably, did not meet even basic standards: Singapore Noodles: The most disappointing dish of the evening. I shared my feedback with the server, who later reported that the cook had not seasoned it properly and offered to remake it. We declined. Salad Rolls: Flavorless, with a peanut sauce that was thin, cold, and lacking depth. Broccoli with Tofu: The broccoli was overcooked, wilted, and visually unappealing. The dish was marginal at best. Green Beans with Garlic: Cooked adequately, but lacking seasoning and overall flavor. Vegan Pot-stickers: The one bright spot--excellent texture, well‑prepared, and accompanied by a flavorful sauce. Overall Atmosphere The ambiance felt tired, and the restaurant appears to have lost the vitality and care that once made it a thriving local favorite. Based on our experience, it seems clear that both the kitchen and front‑of‑house staff would benefit from renewed training and leadership. Our server confirmed that the business changed hands about a year ago, and unfortunately, the decline is evident in nearly every aspect of the dining experience. We will not be returning, and it saddens me to say so--Marco Polo was once a beloved establishment in the community.

The two working were both very kind and helpful. I know nothing, literally nothing, about Filipino food. So I asked if any of it had seafood in it, as I don't eat seafood. The answer was no, so I just picked one of the four options, and pointed to the picture. I always feel like an idiot when I have to point at something to order it, but the woman taking my order reached out the window to point at the same one so we were on the same page. She was very accommodating to me and I appreciate that. I'm still not entirely sure what I ate, but it was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Prices were pretty decent too. I am full and still get to take some home to my husband. Ambiance is a food truck pod on River Road that I'd never been to before. It is bigger than I expected, with several other nearby trucks that I want to try. Would I return? Yes! Definitely yes. This friend has never steered me wrong when it comes to finding amazing small local business to support, and this is a great one. I'll definitely come back again. Review 32 of 2025.

But he agrees they were delicious! I had the taco trio which for $10 you get one of each of their tacos. My favorite was the pork belly taco followed by the tri tip and the alaskan cod. The pork belly was so tender and perfectly caramelized! The mango/peach salsa made my eyes roll back. The pickled onions gave the perfect acidic touch to the sweetness of the salsa and the savoriness of the pork belly. I loved that each taco was hefty. Each taco had a generous amount of toppings and sauces without overshadowing the protein. It makes you feel healthy while also indulging. It's truly well balanced. Each topping had a purpose. We did get our order a little funky because they over-accommodated for an allergy, but definitely better safe than sorry and it was appreciated. My partner wasn't a huge fan of the Tri Tip, he said it reminded him more of Tex-Mex food and he didn't expect the flavor profile. He said his side of elote fries were pretty good. The cauliflower taco without dairy is pretty plain, the other tacos were accidentally dairy free, but weren't for me! I was told they were good, specifically the fish taco. The chips and salsa were good, it didn't seem like the mango salsa was fresh. I honestly think we weren't ordering the favorites, or maybe caught them on an off day. We also got 2 baskets of fries and a bunch of sauces. I was definitely partial to the chipotle, but the others were nice too.
