Went in Noth Fork Tavern for dinner. The staff are friendly as well as professional and atmosphere is warming as well as cozy. Our server Zoey, was great and accommodating to our requests and conversation. I ordered the bacon Mac & cheese, very hearty and generous in size. Glad we made reservations for this place and will come back again.

Come here for the fried pickles!! So delicious, the sauces were soooo good... Anyway, worth my $10!

Stopped in here for a weekend brunch with the wife and was pleasantly surprised by food, ambiance and service. I order the breakfast burrito and it was quite good. Great atmosphere and service as well. We will certainly come back!

4.5 stars, but I'm rounding up. Came here for brunch and all of us enjoyed our meals, but also agreed that it was on the razors edge of being cold. The flavor though was great and our server was really friendly. The place wasn't super busy on the Sunday morning, so I'm not sure why the food wasn't hot.

We were looking for a place to have Sunday brunch with our family. We were also celebrating our daughter-in-laws birthday and wanted it to be special. My wife did some research and found North Fork Tavern and the positive reviews. We also appreciated the fact they offered reservations through Open Table. We made a reservation for 11am and my wife called an hour or so before to double check that we could bring dessert to the restaurant to enjoy after brunch. The young woman who spoke to my wife was very friendly and helpful and assured her we could bring the dessert and they would also provide us plates and utensils. We were immediately greeted at the hostess station and taken to a large table which provided us plenty of room. We were given menus and our drink orders were taken. The brunch menu consisted of a good number of breakfast and lunch items and is available on both Saturday and Sunday from 10am-2pm. Our server was friendly and efficient and between the six of us, we ordered items such as the North Fork Burrito (eggs, pulled pork, cheddar, Monterey jack, onions, pepper, jalapenos, tomatoes, salsa, crema and guacamole). The steak and eggs (Oregon raised 8 oz grass fed flat iron, 2 eggs, with hand cut fries), the North Fork Burger with peppered bacon and no tomato and garlic aioli on the side (grass fed Oregon beef, butter lettuce, red onion, tomato, cheddar cheese garlic aioli on a locally baked bun with fries) and the PNW BLT (peppered bacon, thick cut bacon, tomato, cucumber, lettuce, garlic aioli on a toasted ciabatta with hand cut fries). The restaurant has a upscale yet relaxing feel and the prices are a bit on the higher end but we also realize the prices in the Willamette Valley are more than we are used to living now in North Carolina. Our food arrived in a timely manner and all looked delicious. We each dug into our meals and agreed that everything was yummy. When we were finished with our meals our server brought plates and something to cut the cheesecake with and we didn't even have to ask or remind her, which was appreciated. This was a great experience and we were very happy that we chose North Fork to celebrate as a family.

Long story, the short version... We waited 40 minutes for a table. Granted that's not terrible for a busy breakfast time. However, we waited almost an hour for our food. Total time on site was 2 hours. I feel like they ran out of food, the dish that was served looked nothing like what was described on the menu.

Beautifuly decorated dinning room with friendly service. The drinks and beer selection are well done. The food was delicious and well portioned. Great little place for date night.

    Seared Chicken

I spent $27 on "seared hazelnut chicken with mashed potatoes and season vegetables" Got home and this is what I was given... it looks like they gave me someone's leftovers, there is so little food in here. This wouldn't fill up my 2 year old nephew. Now I have to go spend more money on food that will actually fill me up for dinner.

I've lived here for around 5 years, and another 15 years up in Salem and this little restaurant is a gem in every respect. I've been to Rye at least 4 times since moving here. I had heard about it from friends and so my partner and I first tried it out and were highly impressed with the food, the servce and the ambiance. The menu is just a bit limited but between the specials and the menu offerings, there was plenty to choose from. Above all, what they do, they do very well. I and my partner ate at Rye three nights ago and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience in every way. AMBIENCE... The dining room is terrific. Lots of dark wood. The lighting of the room is especially conducive to privacy but not isolation. Inasmuch as it was raining to beat the band when we arrived, entering felt like a welcoming respite. The patrons' chatter was subdued but clearly they were having a great time. FOOD... We ordered cocktails (I enjoyed a Cocchi Rye whiskey cocktail which was delicious. The French onion soup I ordered was also very tasty and loaded with mozzarella atop the cup. I then dived into a "special" plate of a Chinook salmon fillet, finished perfectly and sitting on a bed or pureed squash. Excellent, I thought. Afterwards, we shared some sort of fruity pastry, sharing with two forks. SERVICE... From where I sat I could watch the bar activity, even the service window into the kitchen allowed me to watch all the activity. Our server was very efficient and cheerful and engaging without being overbearing in any way. AFTERTHOUGHTS: I will be coming back, of course. Rye is where you want to go to have a very good time eating out. You're not going to spend an arm and a leg to eat there but Rye is definitely not Denny's. I think this was my fourth trip there and all four times I felt thoroughly satisfied in every way.

We went to the SkyBar and found it to be a smallish yet convenient place to wait for guests or visitors along with getting a drink or a bite to eat. The bar looks like it can accommodate about 30 people in the interior. There is a nice outdoor patio that can easily accommodate more when the weather is nice. The barkeeper was very attentive and observant, he took our food and drink requests at the bar and in short order, everything was presented. I had a Moscow Mule that I found to be a refreshing drink. Ginger beer, lime and vodka. An excellent combination. I also had an order of the chicken wings and fries. The fries were a normal shoestring variety, cooked well, nicely salted and came in a metal bowl. The wings I found to be outstanding! I don't usually get wings this well made unless I do it myself. I received 8 wings coated with barbecue sauce on a charcuterie board with the fries. The wings were served nicely hot. The meat was piping hot, juicy and tender. The barbecue coating was a hearty middle of the road sauce, not sweet or too smoky. It was caramelized perfectly for that sticky texture and flavor. Definitely a nice coating. Thankfully the bartender brought us a lot of napkins. The wings and fries made for a satisfying meal. The bar boasts a couple of gas fireplaces that make for a warming environment with a few semi private tables. There is a longer table for a larger group as well as several smaller tables and a few bar stools for game watching. All in all we found the bar to be a cozy semi-private environment, yet available to the guests as they come and go. All around, a nice meeting area and watering hole. We will book our family members for a stay here at the hotel. I'm looking forward to trying more of their specialty drinks.
