My partner stopped in here today, on Easter, for lunch. We were hoping to sit outside but the patio is under construction and there was a 40 minute wait so we ate by the bar instead. We were seated immediately and were brought water quickly. I ordered the turkey fireside cranberry sandwich with tots and my partner ordered the Carmela's chicken sandwich. We finished with the strawberry cheesecake. The food was all pretty good. There wasn't a whole lot of turkey on my sandwich, so I was wishing there was more. I also couldn't taste the cranberry sauce very much. The tots were good and the ranch they came with was also good. The dessert was a nice way to end the meal and wasn't too heavy. We noticed an....interesting....pattern in the wood carving on the wall by our table. Not sure how they never noticed it before it made it on the wall but there's no way they haven't seen or been told about it since then. We definitely weren't expecting....that! The restaurant was clean and wasn't too loud. They have a good amount of parking in their lot. There are only two stalls in the bathroom so it can have a bit of a line when it's busy. This was my second time going to North Bank. It's a bit pricey but it's a good treat and a nice place to take a friend who is visiting from out of town. read more

Kapu Hut is not a tiki bar. It's a pub with a few tiki decorations leftover from McMenamin's excellent Old Hangout and Nui Nui. The menu looks like tiki drinks, but the Jungle Bird and Scorpion were absurdly bitter and tasted nothing like their namesakes. The host at the front seemed completely put off by our arrival. Our server was friendly but seemed new and made a few mistakes. Their burgers are large, but do not come with fries. Every burger should come with fries, especially at this high price point. For what it is, the space is pleasant, especially sitting by the window and watching the river. We did, however, see a fully developed spiderweb in a surprisingly conspicuous spot inside. The more McMenamins I visit, the less sold I am on their value proposition. read more

I was here last Saturday, it was a hot day and there was a concert going on at Autzen Stadium. I was on a road trip with friends to get stamps for our Mcmenamins passports and when we tried to drive to this location the police had completely blocked the entrance with cones and were directing all traffic towards Autzen. That was a problem since we were on a timeline and didn't want to go that way. I tried rerouting but there was no way to drive there. So we took a detour and went to some other locations in Eugene. On my way back I had an idea. I parked further away and ended up walking across a pedestrian bridge to get to North Bank. It ended up being a learning experience on a hot summer day. When I got there the place was packed with people trying to eat and drink before the concert. The front desk guy was kind enough to give me ice water before I walked back to my car. Thanks so much for that kind gesture to a traveling patron! -Though I wanted to grab a tiki drink, it was too crowded and will happen next time I am there, likely next weekend! read more

Delicious food. Friendly and professional staff. Incredible atmosphere. Very comfortable place. Highly recommend to everyone.

Have been wanting to make our way to Eugene for the McMenamin's Passport stamps for a while now. Finally got to all 3 Eugene locations and ended at Noth Bank. Easily the largest of the 3 but was pretty empty at 9:30 on a Saturday night. We were able to sit outside on the deck overlooking the river with jacket on in April. Got our 2 free Cajun tots to go and also the Kauai Banana Cabana cocktail and the dragon boat appetizer. It was spiced meatballs with asian slaw in butter lettuce cups...3 to an order. They were delicious and should be on every McMenamin's menu! read more

We stopped in for a quick lunch by the river. Despite their patio being under construction, we were able to get a spot at their outside bar. We order the Mystic Burger and Bacon Cheese Burger. The burgers were good despite both being overdone and borderline needing to be sent back because of the char. The highlight of our lunch was our server, Maddy. We knew it would be hit or miss with the food and that the prices would be more than we usually pay for a Saturday lunch. Overall it was o.k. read more

I've yet to meet a McMenamins I didn't like. That said, this location has a river view and outdoor patio. Its great for large parties, has a warm vibe and a menu offering something for everyone. Parking was tight late afternoon on a Sunday. Honestly, I'm not a fan of the multiple paper menus (tiki drinks, dessert, regular, Happy Hour, regular drinks and I recall seasonal selections), it takes away from relating with others at the table IMHO and tonight there were five of us. The Purple Haze and Brut were the favorite drinks, while the North Bank and Mai Thai salad (add tofu) were the favorite meals. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. No reservations accepted for groups under 10. Nora and the host who greeted us were great! Fairly priced. Apparently, the only pictures I took were of my family so you'll need to experience this location for yourself! read more

Service was a little slow. Server never came back to check on us. The food was good, nothing elaborate or standoutish. Pretty basic pub food. The ambience was great. Right on the river, the patio offers beautiful views of the water and bridge nearby. It was a great place to people watch the protest happening that day. I'd say other McMenamins left a better memory than this one. read more

Having now stayed at the McMenamins in Bend, we can safely say we're all fans of the eclectic chain of cool spots. We decided to try one for lunch before a hike, and were thankful we did. This one is a restaurant and pub along the river. It has their internal kitschy flare, really cool art, a big menu, and their own beer. They also had a lot of outdoor seating along the water, but it was mostly closed the day we were there. Regardless, they had cozy tables along the windows. We were greeted by nice host staff who seated us at our requested table without issue. Our server was super friendly and welcoming. I had a hazy IPA, a friend had a porter; we all ordered lunch - various sandwiches and salads early in the day. Prices are reasonable. If you're looking for a family friendly and fun place to eat, this is a great option. I hope to visit more locations on future trips. read more

McMennamins are usually all the same 4 star experience. Between the staff and location of this one, it goes up to 5 stars. The river seating inside in the Winter is cozy and the outdoor seating in the Summer is the best dining setting in Eugene. The food is consistently fantastic, and the seasonal menu options change often enough to keep you coming for something new. It feels tired recommending a Mcmennamins to people as something to try coming through Eugene, but this one is worth making the stop at read more

I had my first Mai Tai and it was supreme. Pork balls in lettuce cups and seared tuna. Both were amazing. We sat outside along the bike/walk path which gave an excellent river view, nice breeze, trees starting to bud, it was pretty much perfect. The staff were so friendly and helpful - we were wanting to try some new food/drinks and we didn't feel pressured or rushed. We both had a wonderful experience. read more

We enjoyed visiting McMenamins North Bank. We sat at the bar and had a couple of drinks. They have all kinds of fun Islandy drinks, as well as a standard full with tap beers. We didn't get a chance to try anything to eat, since we had just eaten. It's quite a lovely area overlooking the river. You can sit outside and enjoy the view. There are also a lot of walking/biking trails that lead to many of the nearby hotels. Our bartender was friendly and prompt. read more

The service was absolutely fantastic and the staff really made our visit fun The drinks were fantastic, the food was lacking my wife got the Carmela's Chicken sandwich and it was not good the chicken was tough and chewy like it was microwaved I had the Fireside Roasted Turkey and it was delicious and i ended up sharing it with my wife because she wouldn't eat the chicken The restaurant itself was very nice and there was plenty of room and the atmosphere was pleasant The staff was the highlight of our visit, our server was hilarious and witty read more

Dark, dingy, and dated. A makeover is well past-due. The food was o.k. (3 stars) but nothing strong enough to recommend to others. Their best asset is their location on the north bank of the Willametter River. They do not take reservations, so it is a roll of the dice whether you are able to get outdoor seating. Price is as expected for this level of a burger casual dining restaurant. Will we return, most likely not. Five Guys is still the best burger around IMO. read more

Happy hour with a view. Is there anything better than 3-5pm drinks and appies by the water? No! The wine and cider flights were cute samplers. Hummus...YES!! (Pickled veggies were a great touch) Caesar was generous! Saigon Kick Chicken Tenders...I couldn't stop until they were gone. read more

The best view in town but I recommend you specify if you don't want a rare burger. We always get burgers because the food is generally mediocre . This place was fine. I was staying at the hotel across the street, the weather was miserable, and I just wanted some take-out food. I ordered a reuben, sub turkey, and it was really good. Hot, fresh, flavorful. One of the better sandwiches I've had. But it took forever to order. Apparently only the person working the host desk at the door can place a take-out order or retrieve it when it's ready. I had to stand there super, super awkwardly, twice, while everyone else was helped around me and barely acknowledged me. It was just really slow and really awkward. But the food was (just barely) worth it. read more

Everything from eclectic decor, relaxed vibe, and fantastic food. The waitress was so cute and efficient. The place is quaint at the same time not tiny. A good size restaurant with lil nooks to sit. Cocktails are numerous & tasty. Fresh ingredients. I love the fact it was right across the street from the apt. Good place for dinner and conversations read more

Had a Terminator Stout and the Fish and Chips. Beer 5 stars Service 5 stars Food 2 stars Fish and Chips- $24 for two scrawny little pieces of fish. Some shoestring fries and tasteless coleslaw. Coleslaw should have some sugar in it. This had no seasoning and when the plate arrived, I just stared at the 2 little pieces of Fish and though I should have just stayed home an made a sandwich. Don't think I will be going back there again. read more

I wish I would've taken a picture but I dove right in sorry. I ordered the Maui bowl and I'm beyond impressed. The dish was very flavorful and the chicken was perfectly seasoned and very tender. I love this location - right ON the river, easy parking, always great staff and patio seating with table umbrellas. And they are always willing to light a fire in the fire pits. However... This visit wasn't the best eating experience. My - usually very tasty - salad came with way too much dressing. I'll ask for it in the side from now on. For dessert, the server described what she called a berry ice cream bar, made with bits of something, and with Tillamook ice cream. I expected to get an ice cream bar on a stick, with delicious Tillamook berry ice cream and bits of something good - but was surprised when she came back with a square dessert bar with a scoop of ice cream on top of the dessert, which just kinda made it all soggy. As I ate it, I realized the 'bar' was very soft, and super sweet, compared to similar treats available elsewhere. By the time I finished most of it, I wished I hadn't. Lesson learned - ask more questions :) read more

Delicious food, great staff and wonderful atmosphere. Been here many times with family and friends.

McMenamins is always consistent and good but never great. I was really impressed by their seasonal honey mustard chicken sandwich though and Cajun tots always hit. The service was ok. When the server asked if we want avocado, we said no but she put them on anyway, both my partner's burger and my own, and charged us for them. Also, $14 for a mimosa is crazy. $7-$10 is the usual price. It should not cost as much as a cocktail. read more

The Reuben hit the spot and it was right by our hotel so walking over was super convenient! I had an IPA and it was so-so but the service at the bar was nice and welcoming! I have very mixed feelings about McMenamins. On one hand, this location is awesome. You can't beat being on the river. Another positive is that a family member with gluten sensitivities can always find a reliable meal here. However, for the rest of us, we find the food to be very overpriced for the quality and the quantity and the overall variety of food is disappointing. There's typical pub fair, which is fine but always overpriced. When McMenamins does have seasonal specials or limited time options but they are never actually very good and seem like they come frozen and are quickly heated in the kitchen. I keep wanting to give McMenamins a chance, but I'm nearly always left disappointed and feeling like I wasted money on a lackluster meal. read more

Ambiance is really nice, lots of cool little lights, windows, and dim lighting. Apparently there's a nice view outside (we were seated inside). Our waitress was friendly and super helpful when I asked about popular meals here. I ordered the kalua pork plate. The mac salad was really really bland which was disappointing, but the kalua pork and pineapple sambal were good. Not a fan of the soy sauce on the rice because it made the rice soggy. The proportion of meat to rice was off; I think with the saltiness of the kalua pork, it needed to be balanced out with the rice but there wasn't much rice. On the other side, my cousin thought her burger was average tasting. Her boyfriend thought the fish and chips were good but for two small pieces for $22, he didn't think it was worth it. We all enjoyed the tots, they had a nice crisp to them. read more

Our dinner meals were delicious. The following day we enjoyed a delicious lunch at McMenamins North Bank.

This place is perched next to the Willamette River. Gorgeous location. Worth the wait to sit on the patio on a nice day, but the window seating is also just beautiful. Unusual cocktail concoctions, many rum based. I chose an apricot margaritas, one of their adult slushies. So fun! We had only appetizer food, which was very good. I took off a star because the service wasn't great. It was friendly but mostly absent. Finally had to chase someone down to pay the bill, and even then they couldn't be bothered. I hope to visit again in the future and find that maybe it was just an off day for them. read more
