They have drink special starting at 4 PM which are fun to try like pineapple fruit punch with pineapple and vodka cranberry and lime, or you can stick with the classic Guinness on tap which is what I did. They were also serving chicken and potatoes soup which came out more like a Stu that was slightly curried and filling. Service was great and there was lots of space including two pool tables upstairs two pinball machines, including Stranger Things and X-Men, and chance to shoot. read more

I'm sure the people who frequent this bar are not the ones reading Yelp but I thought I'd review to get people to give it a try. It is the definition of a dive bar. It has great food, a salty bar tender and strong drinks. They have lots of TVs for sports. Service was at the bar only when I was there which made it super congested around the bar. Not the cleanest place in the world. One word of advice, if you are at all liberal, don't talk politics read more

Great place to go play some pool and get some great food. Staff is always friendly and it's just a really cool old bar! I love when they have bands playing up on the loft. read more

I hadn't been here in a while, but it's obvious the plague didn't do them any favors, that's for sure. We walked in, and it was fairly busy. Moderately so. Found a spot downstairs to eat. Never greeted, never acknowledged, nothing. Ok, I'm bored. So we gambled a bit. Then my husband had to go to the bar and ask for food menus. You would think this would prompt a bartender/waitress to come take our order, right? Nope, not here. If I wanted to order at a counter, I'd go to McDonalds. That's the way I felt about this. My husband ordered a giant monstrosity of a burger with a fried egg on it the egg was over cooked and not nearly as runny as it should have been. I ordered fish and chips and a salad. Salad was great. But how can you screw up lettuce and diced veggies? Whoever prepped the veggies had good knife skills, I'll say that. As every single piece of tomato, onion, and bell pepper were the most perfect uniform size that I've ever seen. My fish was over cooked and was like chewing on a rubber band. My husband tried to eat it and finish my plate and just couldn't do it. Their menu used to be a lot bigger and had some amazing things like Shepards pie. Now it feels like the chef left when the plague happened, and was replaced by a cook. So they had to dumb down the menu to fit that. They've moved things around inside, removing the dance floor they had downstairs, and making it just the area to eat. They do have several huge TVs, so watching a game is quite nice. Would I return? Not in the foreseeable future, that's for sure. It wasn't a horrible experience, it was simply a mediocre experience. Nothing fabulous, but nothing egregious either. read more

I come to McShanes quite often and today was the worst food I've ever had the many times I've been here . The service was not good at all either . Very rude bartender . Never did come ask us if anything was ok nor ask us if we wanted another drink . Sent our food back which was the shrimp scampi, they just slathered it in a shit ton of garlic and Parmesan cheese heated in in different butter and sent it back The fries were so hard you couldn't even bite into them . Very disappointed. read more

Like a really good mouth orgasm... McShanes lathers it up and brings it home with the atmosphere and food... Great drinks and food - large portions. read more

Stopped by to have lunch on our way up to Portland. The absolute RUDEST bar tender/ waitress told us she would NOT leaving behind the bar and said any water, drinks or food would need to be picked up at the bar. My wife and I were kind of looking around like the was the old Candid Camera show waiting for the joke to end. We are currently having lunch at Denny's and they actually brought water, silverware and menu's to our table. As a business owner who tips very large the person really f...ked up. I will certainly be passing the word on. read more

At first, we thought we liked it. Then started noticing not feeling well after eating here. Friendly counter person. Ok taps. Guinness on draught. There are TVs at the bar. read more

What a wonderful gem we found! Staying at the campground down the road and found this place on Yelp. LOVED IT! The service we got from bartender Rachel and manager Forrest was OUTSTANDING! The food was also fantastic! Let's not leave out the ambiance. We LOVED it! Thank you! read more

We stop in time to time, but would not recommend or suggest any menu items, besides a great drink! It is dirty inside and that's a bummer!

Food EXCELLENT Service SUPERB Ambiance CHILL I love this place. They have such sweet people working there. All of the bar tenders are just so cool. The atmosphere is great and totally chill. The owners really did a good job with this place. read more

Interesting place, appears to be a drinking and gambling place that also serves food. Not too clean. Service was friendly. A lamp plugged in at table shorted out, arced, and slightly singed my sleeve. A little near electrocution won't put me off dinner. I do worry about the safety of the staff and hope the issue is looked into. That said, the food was fine. read more

Good food, drinks, and service. Unfortunately the place has a funky smell and needs a good deep cleaning. Other than that it's a great place. read more

Great atmosphere and food. Full kitchen open until 1:00AM. Bonus points for hosting putting league on Mondays.

We went to McShanes for a beverage and appetizer. Although they were busy, we had great service and the appetizer was amazing! Thank you, Kelsey, for a wonderful experience! We'll be back! read more

The bartenders are awesome!! Not my typical vibe for a bar but it's great to stop by for a drink and some food

From N California... Stopped in at the Harley shop.... Went there for lunch.... They had some good beers on tap and a full service bar... Added bonus... Then we noticed the slot machines around the corner.... Awesome!!!! Ordered the beef nachos with homemade chips... Extra Jalapenos.... Excellent... Perfect amount of sour cream and guacamole.... Had a bowl of split pea and ham soup for the table to share... Really tasty.... Wife and sister in law split the burger with garlic fries... Cooked perfectly and the garlic fries were awesome! Excellent service!!!! Will be back when in town!!!! read more

After reading the reviews I was somewhat prepared for the experience here. You walk into a dimly lit bar with one bartender and have to wait a lil bit to be helped/get menus, which might turn some people off. I ordered a French dip with a side ceasar salad, and I have to give the food five stars. It was one of the best salads I've had since I've been in Eugene. The next comment is that the place is a lil dark and kinda run down, but for me it's perfect. I like that divey hole in the wall kind of bar experience. Also they have a weirdly cozy upstairs place with pool and some random games, I was into it. Long story short: come for amazing food with a comfortably casual atmosphere, but don't expect a person to seat/wait on you. read more

I am always a fan of traditional Irish meals and the shepherds pie was fantastic. We will definitely be back for more!

This is a friendly, SAFE place for women to come. Terrific staff. Good tap list. Truly excellent food, try the ahi salad or the steak salad, the prime rib, the chili. Pool, fußball, frisbee. Great playlist. Happy to put women's sports on the screens. Before long, everybody knows your name read more

Stopped for lunch. Definitely a dive. Had a very tasty macaroni and cheese, although it could have been hotter. It is definitely a bar, but the obnoxious foul-mouthed rap music was too loud for the few people there. Food took way too long to arrive also. Two stars because food was ok and staff was nice. Wouldn't go back though for sure. read more

Great food and great service! I've been eating here for ten years and I always go back for a Grimmlin and garlic fries. Breakfast is available to and during that time its usually very laid back. read more

Stopped in this afternoon (too briefly) to this strange cavernous place in the middle of nowhere, which always looks closed. For - you guessed it - Happy Hour! Our first time for HH, happened to be in the neighborhood (how'd THAT happen??). Amazing deal - $3 for "choose your poison" - 4 ch'burg sliders, 2piece fish & chips, nachos etc. Basement prices and good pours on well drinks (a PINT of G&T''s?!) and microbrews (29 or so on tap). Great deal, friendly barmaids, good cook, a little odd. We like it. read more

I have to give a big thanks to the bartender who worked her rear end off yesterday, probably not knowing she was going to have such a large crowd. We were all coming from a great bike event that contributed money to fallen soldiers families. So there was a large group of Harley riders. She really did a great job. We stop in once in a while on ride nights, and the food is pretty good as well as the drinks. read more

Apart from feeling like I had pulled into the parking lot of the crime scene of my own murder, Mc Shanes was delicious, cozy on the inside, friendly, and fast. Its shady crumbling exterior was a little foreboding at first but once I entered through the heavy wooden doors and was greeted by a cheery hostess and served giant plates of crispy french fries and beautifully fried mushrooms, I fell hopelessly in love. All the food listed on the Ireland green laminated menu sounded delicious but I wound up honing in on the Chicken Cordon Blue burger with a grilled chicken breast, ham, tomato, lettuce, onion, and Swiss cheese. Delicious, but a little dry. Nothing a side of ranch dressing can't handle. The tables were clean, the waitress was very friendly, the atmosphere was incredibly comfortable and toasty, and while I haven't been to Ireland, I felt like I was sitting in one of the Irish pubs featured in movies. I will be back... in the daytime. read more

I have been to this place three times. Each time, the service is inattentive, boarding ignoring. The food isn't bad but their lack of service is why the third time I visited, I left after waiting for over 10 minutes and not one server came to our table. I saw several workers go outside to the patio a few times, but never came to serve us. It seems that you would have to be in their face at the bar in order to get decent service. I will not return and will spread the word. read more

First thoughts when walking in: Rundown, stinky and dark. The thing is my ham focaccia with a pesto aoli was SO good! it cost $8 and came with your choice of fries/potato salad/chips. The service was less than desired but the only salvage was the great food. a few pool tables and some games downstairs and a few TV's to watch some sports. read more

After watching an episode of Three Sheets, my bf had a sudden craving for Irish Coffee in the morning. Where else to go but the only Irish pub we like? McShanes we go! What a pleasant surprise it was to find that their parking lot was FULL at breakfast! Just shortly after 11 am on a Sunday and a full parking lot in this bar in the middle of nowhere?! We had never had breakfast there before so it all looked very promising. Oh and it was SO worth the drive! Hands-down the best hashbrowns in eugene! It's not just salt and pepper, there's SOMETHING else that puts McShane's hashbrowns way the heck over the top of all the other hashbrowns I've tried at other breakfast joints. They taste amazing! And to think that the hashbrowns are only a side to their breakfast dishes. Their breakfast menu is very unique but also very basic. Challah french toast, eggie in a basket, chicken fried steak, omelettes, and so on. Their country gravy is good, but not great. It's lacking something that I can't put my finger on. But the cfs is beautifully crunchy and tasty; challah french toast was wonderful. I wish I could have eaten more.....but next time! McShanes has great bartenders that make REAL drinks, yummy and very strong. The waitresses are always the most cheery and pleasant people, very attentive and helpful. And the cooks are incredibly skilled at what they do. As far as the best bar food in the Euge, I'm torn between McShane's and Highlands....tough tough choice. Breakfasts, dinners, and drinks are excellent here and I strongly advise people to check it out. Everyone here works hard to put up a great business. Huge fan of this place. P.S. $3 happy hour menu items are totally worth more than that. It's a steal for amazing food! read more

Entered dark bar, bartender saw us walk in, we sat in booth and sat there for at least 15min without ever being acknowledged. Will never return. read more

This is an Irish themed bar that has a full selection of beer and wine. They also serve mixed drinks. Lots of TVs to watch sporting events are spread throughout the bar. They have one HUGE screen over the bar for (I suppose Duck football games) major games. The bar is in 3 levels. Pool tables located in the bottom floor. The main floor is where the dinning tables and bar is located. The upstairs balcony has a few tables and TVs where you can eat, drink, or watch TV. Their menu is designed with an Irish theme, but I went with a hamburger. It was awesome. The burger I ordered had everything on it egg, pastrami, bacon, ham, cheese, and of course a full condiment of veggies. The Fries that came with it are seasoned and tasted terrific. They also have sides order that are great too. If your in Eugene check this place out! read more

First impression from the empty parking lot at noon on a sunday was "is this place even open?" The answer was yes and I'm glad it was. This place is great - good drinks, good food, friendly folks, free wi-fi, and an available power outlet. That's pretty much the entire list of things I could want while on the road and trying to find a place to recharge and catch up with the world before heading back out. read more

Skip it ! I'm not sure how they got all the good reviews but this place was not good. The girl who took our order didn't write it down then when the food came we told her she messed up our order she said my bad, I can get you what you ordered but it will be a wile I just put in like three orders or do you want to just eat that. We said fine we don't want to wait longer so what ever. Then my husband asked for a beer she said sure but didn't bring it for 10 min so his food was almost finished. When we got up and waited at the bar to pay she came and said now what did you have ? My husband said the wrong order, she said oh that's right and still charged. read more

This has been my go to bar for the month or so that i have live here. It has its pros and cons. Pros: Good beer on tap, good bar food, TVs to watch the games. Forest the bartender is a kool guy. However, i feel like this bar trys to take advantage of drunk people by overcharging. They have tryed to over charge my three times now and that is only being there about 6 or 7. Those are terrible numbers and that is why I really am that is more then a "mistake" so watch out for that. Plus there other bartender Hymen is a prick who also tryed to overcharge me and when i called him on it he got all sad and said i was wrong. Um no dude where the fuck is forest? Eventually he got it right but my fuck that guy is terrible for business. Will not be going back here. read more

I just love this place! We've been coming here for years. It's right off of I-5, and we love breaking up our trips north, or coming home south, with a pop-off here. Vegetarian & vegan options. Dog friendly patio, with overhead heater for colder nights, and outdoor TV. Inside there's multiple TVs, arcade games, pool, darts, poker machines & more. It's like Chuck E. Cheese for adults! Friendly service on top of it all. Forest is our fav! read more

Setting was a bit odd and selection was ok, but a little different. The drinks were real good though. Doubtful I'd return.

great food, strong drinks, what more can you say. Good place to hang during the day or night.

I love McShanes, but it might just be that I have a crush on Reagan the bartender. The drinks are always strong and the pool tables are usually open. They make a delicious quesadilla, too. read more

Nice place. Laid back and friendly. Nice selection of beers and the food was very good.

Went for the first time today. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars was the music was sort of tedious after a while.... but the Chef Salad was great, noticed it was "real" cheddar cheese rather than American (which, isn't real), all fresh stuff, great lettuce and lots of "stuff", very good dressing on the side. We'll for sure go back! read more
