    The Mead Flight...Pillage Responsibility!
    Ian S.

Pillage Responsibility... engraved on the side of the mead flight. That was how the meal started and it only got better. The meads were fantastic! As a mead maker myself, i was impressed by the different tastes. If you like creativity in your food, this is the place for you! I got the small smorgasbord (basically pick 3 items from the small plates). I chose the smoked sausage, the beet colored jammy egg, and the cucumber salad. Yumm! Julie got the Bangers and Mash and a hazy IPA which were also a hit. Last really great service and a really fun environment. We'll definitely be back!

I love this place! The restaurant is very clean, and has a couple choices for ambiance. If you want more space and less noise reserve a table in the back room. The cocktails are yummy and unique. The food is all good! I would say some of the prices seem a bit high for what you get, but I can also say that everything I've had has been very very tasty. I love the smorgasbords board options. Get the meatballs and the mashed potatoes for sure!! The burrata is very very good!! Pizza- nice and thin, chewy, and delicious Will absolutely be back!

    Pretzel

First time visiting this establishment. Nice clean interior plus they have an outdoor area as well. I bellied up to the bar and told the bartender what type of beer I preferred. He suggested two draft beers that he thought I would like. He immediately brought me a sample of each. I chose the Mountain Mexican Lager - I'm not a big beer drinker but this was better than Modelo Especial which I like. I ordered the pretzel for a nosh to complement the beer. When the pretzel arrived, it had more small oil beads than salt on the top. It was also very, very chewy but had a great flavor. It came with a cheese sauce, some great mustard sauce, and very, very, very thinly sliced pepperoncini-, which I loved. Next time I'm going to request that they don't heat the pretzel up so much. I was there mid afternoon during the weekday. There were only a few other people in there, but I am definitely returning when I have a bigger appetite to try more of their menu and to get another one of those delicious mountain Mexican beers.

The Bangers and Mash was good as was the libations. Service was friendly but definitely lacking (there weren't that many tables occupied when we visited for lunch). Was not asked if I wanted or my wife wanted a refill on anything, which is a pet peeve of mine and hers. The Hamburger my wife had looked good and she said it was okay, but the fries were definitely over salted/seasoned. Prices were a tad high perhaps for what you paid for, so returning I would be considering this. Establishment was clean.

Been back a few times. The fries are especially delicious - so crispy (though a bit too salty). Tasting flight is a lot of fun. I love the Viking names.

Food and beer were both delicious. They seemed understaffed, but everyone was working super hard. Not necessarily a family-friendly restaurant, but I will definitely be back when not with the whole family. I love how the menu is super unique and unlike anywhere else in town. I look forward to trying other items and drinks on the nenu in the future.

This place has the perfect trifecta of food ( beet fritters!? Marinated eggs? ) Drinks (alcoholic and non) & ambiance. Love the blonde and the IPA & the Orange soda. Snowboard smorgasbord off treats for 4 was perfect for snacks with the above. And if you need some to go, watch then seal up a crowler! Bathrooms are nothing special & service is ..ok but friendly, well worth an afternoon stop in.

A perfectly comfortable way to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon. Sampling their unique selection of beers and choosing our own adventure for a delicious "board". We sampled the beet fritters which were shockingly delicious, pickled egg (need I say anymore?!), perfectly cooked grilled sausage, meatballs, and a simple green salad that had the best tasting dressing. It had really great service and everything came out with perfect timing. How did it take me so long to come here is my only question.

    Their juicy IPA

I went probably a year ago and I left feeling it was good not great. THAT WAS THEN, THIS IS NOW. This place is fantastic! Fantastic locally sourced beef for the burger cooked to perfection and the juicy ipa was as good as I've had anywhere. It was a wonderful experience and we will be back. Appetizer grilled pepper dish(not pictured) with their house sauce is also highly recommended. Service, food, and ambiance in the establishment were all top notch tonight. Thank you Viking!

I'm writing this while in the restaurant fyi. Nice people but the food took awhile and a bit of an overpriced dish, great food

Burger and brew special--$13 on Tuesday nights. This one has the goat cheese spread which I highly recommend adding!
    Jasmine T.

The more I stop in, the more I love Viking Braggot. We got a chance to come back in to try more of their menu and ended up ordering the burger since it was part of their $13 burger and brew Tuesday special. The burger was really tasty--they make their own brioche bun with caraway seeds which is unique and super tasty. I have zero complains about the burger and recommend adding the goat cheese spread to it. The steak fries that came with it were well-seasoned and crispy in the best way. We also tried one of their rotating ice creams, a house-made vanilla cream soda ice cream with lingonberry swirl. It was as good as it sounds. They do rotate flavors, so be sure to save room to try their homemade ice cream. As always, beer was interesting and--you guessed it--tasty. They had a seasonal spiced ale which I really enjoyed, and their Battle Axe IPA is great. Definitely come in to support this great local brewery!

Kale salad, french fries, and a small board
    Megan W.

The food here is good, definitely something a little different (for me!) than the norm. I'm not a big alcohol fan, so that was a miss for me, but my brother enjoyed the alcoholic lemonade and the variety of meads. Their kale salad is one of the best kale salads I have ever had, and I will absolutely be back for it. My partner and I loved the smorgasbord, with the flatbread and loum, meatballs, and sausage! Everything was tasty, and worth the price. Getting to try all the different sauces was fun, too. Their parking lot was easy to get to and they have an outdoor and indoor area, which is always appreciated.

Came in a year ago, had a couple beers. Based on what I tried and the taplist, I wasn't impressed. Nice place though.

With that meal you will experience actual satisfaction and contentment. That's the first thing I have to say in case you're reading for a recommendation of what to order. Even better if you have it late night after experiencing the best Handel's Messiah concert at the Hult in December. I had a small slider of corned beef along with his amazing fresh Kale salad garnish with shaved Parmesan, walnuts, added protein -- sausage. It came with a toasted slice of soda bread that was great. But the slider was how I realized the corned beef was PERFECTLY prepared. A taste was not enough; I decided to get the dinner plate version to take the next day up to Seattle with me. Fantastic staff included Barkeep Illyia, whose birthday it was. She kept up a steady stream of attentive care, skillful service, friendly banter with each of the clients that came in and said good by to them as they left. Hospitality was her middle name. Love that they have mugs for the regulars hanging from the ceilings, the bar space is great but so are the arm chairs and cushioned seats in the corners of the pub. I even ran into two other concertgoers who had also been so energized after the Messiah concert that they didn't want to go home. We spent a half hour at the bar unpacking the highs and best points of the performance by the Eugene Symphony Orchestra, and the symphony choir, and each of the soloists. We also unanimously agreed the tenor was fantastic, the baritone a paragon of artistic talent, the soprano sang incandescently, and that the final AMEN movement was soul healing and mind blowing simultaneously. Yeah. It was that good. This place was the right place to come to unpack it all over a Guinness and the best corned beef and cabbage in town. Love that it was open late enough to enjoy after the concert. Will be back.
