I came in for brunch today with the family, it was nine adults and two small kids. They had tables reserved both so we could eat and have space for gifts and cake, as we were celebrating my mother in-law's 70th birthday. Our server was incredibly attentive, what I appreciated was the fact he paid attention to every single person in the group when taking orders, when asking questions, and such. Too many times in a large group small needs are ignored, and our waiter was amazing with that. Which is what will stick in my brain long after writing this. Food was amazing. I had what is basically diced ham and scrambled eggs, but those were the softest scrambled eggs I've ever eaten. It's clear they have a chef cooking and not just a cook. It was simple food, but done perfectly and I love that. Everything came out at the same time, which is no small feat with a large group like ours. This was the most relaxing and enjoyable brunch I've ever had in a restaurant, while celebrating a milestone birthday, enjoying great food and drinks, and catching up with family I hadn't seen in over a year. This was a restaurant that was all about the experience, not just turning tables over for new customers. Would I return? Oh my yes! The views from the restaurant are gorgeous, parking is easy, food/drinks/service are all on point. I literally have nothing to complain about. This is definitely a place that's worthy of repeat visits. read more

Eaten here a few times and had some cocktails. Each time I've tried something different and it's been really good food. I've had the Reuben, a burger, and Ahi tuna lettuce wraps with a ginger miso dressing. The service is very fast and attentive. Ross the bartender is a great person and very funny. This place is amazing, the food and staff are wonderful and it's shocking how great everything is for a golf course pub.

Service was good, food was good but nothing fantastic either. It was a fairly simple breakfast, my husband got a breakfast sandwich and wished the bread had been much more toasted. I had the salmon Benedict which when bites included all elements was very good but the salmon had an odd flavor without the sauce. The view was absolutely lovely though. The service here is good, and the view is really nice. It definitely works for a nice brunch spot. The food I thought was pretty bad. I got the florentine, and it was lukewarm and the flavor was just not there. It was a bit lacking for the price in my opinion. The fruit was the biggest offender, it was slimy and tasted off. We had a company event at The Pub at Laurelwood. After having worked and visited Eugene many times, the golf course and Pub location was a refreshing surprise. It is tucked in the hills, gorgeous trees and stunning views from The Pub exterior seating. The atmosphere is super super causal, staff is welcoming and helpful. We had a catered meal and they set it up so quickly. Food was your traditional pub food - yummy comfort food. The staff were all so gracious, quick with filling drink orders and they didn't mind our ruckus group. I did not golf but the co-workers that did loved it. I was surprised I hadn't reviewed this place as I've been here several times now. I really like The Pub. It's got a great view, great atmostphere, and is a great place to catch a game as they have a big screen and projector. I've been here mainly for dinner. Their Korean BBQ spare ribs and steak bruschetta are both awesome for apps. Their charcuterie board is solid as well. They have a very large menu though so there should be something for everyone. The smoke salmost nicoise salad is very tasty! I've also had their Rueben, Nice Spice Burger (basically a bacon cheddar burger w/ spice), and their Hagen Dog...yes, a hot dog. Now before you go judging too quickly, it's a brisket frank, beer steamed, sauerkraut, mustard, cheese sauce, and crispy onions. Yeah, it was phenomenal. I haven't been yet but they do a Sunday brunch that I also want to try! The Pub is a cool place and is a great weeknight drop in after work or after the driving range or playing a round of golf. While this place may be off the beaten path (trust your map as there are lots of one-way and dead ends on the way up to this oasis in the midst of the city), but the view is worth it. A sizable parking lot is available, and the restaurant is clearly marked once you reach the golf course. The Pub had a full bar with drink specials. They have brunch options as well as lunch and dinner. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. We loved our Sunday brunch. They have a rustic menu and cozy dining room. They do show local college games so it can get a little loud with the ones watching. read more

I came to the Pub as part of Food for Lane County's Grilled Cheese Experience - they provided a lovely lunch experience, but I'd recommend doing dinner elsewhere. Summary: Great atmosphere, good service, average food. Come at lunch to enjoy the food or stop by while golfing, but don't make the trip if you're not in the area. Food: I was a little disappointed - relative to their fantastic service and atmosphere, the food was very average. I had a strawberry lemonade, which was refreshing, and a brisket, bleu cheese and American grilled cheese sandwich. The bread was nothing special. The brisket, which should've been the highlight of the sandwich, provided a good texture but was overpowered by the flavor of the bleu cheese. Overall, a good sandwich, but not one I would rave to a friend about. The lack of a deep fryer means your meal comes with kettle chips, further contributing to a lunch, not dinner, feeling. Atmosphere: the atmosphere in the early afternoon was serene, with a beautiful view of the golf fields from nearly every seat in the restaurant. The decor was simple, not distracting, and everything was clean. The decanters of water ready to go on the table were a pleasant, inviting touch. This place has an atmosphere most other restaurants would be jealous of. Laid back casual, with a view to the golf course and the south hills of Eugene in the distance. I think the potato salad and au jus were house made. This made for a really great lunch. The sour cream lemon pie was exceptional. The wait staff were very chill and professional. When your food is perfect, it is easy be chill and professional. This place is rightfully considered a Eugene south hills institution. If you haven't been in, you should avail yourself of the opportunity to enjoy a perfect meal in a perfect place with a great view. read more

This is an adorable neighborhood pub or 19th hole as some would say. Sometimes you have the place to yourself (save some regulars) other times it's packed. But consistently good drinks and great food - especially for a pub! The menu changes here and there and the chef is creative. Always a good time. And during the day, the view is spectacular. This place is just ok but I gave an extra star for being unique setting overlooking a golf course in a hilly neighborhood and with an informal log cabin interior. The menu is limited (four mains) and tilted toward a weird set of appetizers ranging from popcorn to ahi tuna on lettuce. Speaking of which, we ordered the seared tuna, the popcorn and a large salad with chicken breast. The tuna portion was decent but over-sauced (drenched). The salad, thankfully, automatically came with dressing on the side and was kinda small and boring with an unseasoned bit of sliced chicken breast. The popcorn was stove-popped, which is the only proper technique, but they cooked it with the lid on so it was pretty tough. And the waitress brought the PC with the dinner as if it were a side dish instead of something to nibble while having a drink. Oh boy. The menu lacks viable grain and cooked veg side choices. Overall, pretty average. $48 for two not including any alcohol is kinda steep. read more

I can't believe I haven't written a review of The Pub long ago. I think it's my favorite pub restaurant in Eugene. Interesting snacks and starters.rock solid lineup of sandwiches (Reuben and Cubanos are standouts ). And of course burgers, quesadillas and more. The over-achieving does a good job on everything we've tried. The Pub also doubles as a pretty good sports bar to watch games in, though it can get crowded at Ducks games. And the golf course views are gorgeous from every table. Overall there's just a lot to like at this friendly satisfying pub. read more
