Very great service. I very much was surprised as Oregon is not known for its service. Lots of options and lots of veggie options which I love. I saw a post on Facebook where Cornucopia was lowering prices, and consolidating different burger sizes to a 6oz patty. I decided to stop in and try them... since the new prices were a bit more reasonable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Ordered a Cheesy American for my first burger here, since a basic burger let me judge how they do. Burger was ok... not the best I have had, not the worst. Fries were good, I do like battered fries. First time coming here, horrible service. Waited about an hour or longer for food. Asked to get my son's food first before our meal and that never happened. My husband was at first reluctant to go here, because he said the last time he walked through the door, it smelled so strongly of oysters. He turned around and left. This time the smell was primarily of something deep-fried. He had a hamburger, which he forgot to request well done, and they were pretty good about taking it back and redoing the burger. I ordered the chimichurri nachos, which were amazing, however, in retrospect, I really should've had only a small portion of it as an appetizer, rather than trying to eat it as my main course lol. I've been to this Cornucopia location a couple of times and always had a great experience. One of my fave things to eat out for is a good burger, and Cornucopia has a huge list of options. Beyond that you'll find other sandwiches, plates, salads etc. on the menu here. Generally, think a bit elevated on bar food. I absolutely love that they offer a creative list of mocktails (plus some for kids). Also, heavy wine pours my friends! Seating is offered both inside and outside along the sidewalk/street. The one possible downside to this location (depending on time of day) is that it's so close to the rail tracks, it can be quite loud/rumbling when trains roll by! read more

We went to Cornucopia today, to take advantage of their outdoor seating. Overall I would say I enjoyed my burger, but what you get is simply not worth the price. The burger comes with fries, tots or Cole slaw, and you can pay to get the side salad or sweet potato fries. You can pay $4.25 to get some iceberg lettuce, a few cherry tomatoes, a dozen or so carrot peels, a couple cucumber slices, and 3 tbsp of dressing. Seriously unimpressed with this part. When I paid $4.25 I expected better. Did I mention that that additional $4.25 comes without fries? So it is really at least $6 worth of salad? Three of us ate, with the total coming to just under $100. My stepson had a beer, and wife and I drank water. None of us were wowed. Spend you $100 somewhere else. read more

Still waiting on a callback for any of the three calls/emails I sent to the manager... I had the fried calamari which was newly added to the menu. It was the worst calamari I've ever experienced. I have had salad with chicken as a main meal, three times. I've also had cocktails at the bar. I think it is a nice, intelligent and cohesive team running the place. Food, ALL THREE TIMES, was PERFECT. Dressing fresh, veggies delicious, chicken breast perfect, quantity filling for a meal. The Amtrak and cargo trains running behind the bar is fabulous and dining has a couple different sections with different vibes! Driving from Northern Washington to Southern California, stopped in Eugene OR for the night. Found Cornucopia near the hotel (in the cute downtown area). Ok I understand a group of 10 is hard to do but geez it was not good. We sat down at 6:50 and didn't get food until 8:30. I think they had some people not show up for work, so again I understand but it was the food I'm most upset by. We had every tot and fries at our table very cold. We went for my birthday for dinner and to play bingo. Food was good but everything else was awful. Our server Jessica was incredibly rude, especially at the end. There was a surcharge on our bill so we asked her what it was for. She angrily told us it a 3% charge which equaled half of the 6% credit card processing fee the restaurant has to pay. As soon as we started to say something she told us if we didn't like it we can talk to the manager or owner and stormed off. One site said bingo starts at 8:00 but we were told when we got there it starts at 9:00. Didn't start until almost 10:00 and with no service for about 80 minutes, we left after one round of bingo. Great food and chill atmosphere. We got there on a Friday mid-day with no wait. I got the now or never Burger because I have a favorite local spot back home that offers a peanut butter burger as well. It thought it was great. You can ask for a 1/4 pound burger too but mine was a 1/2 pound patty. I also got tots which I didn't finish because the meal had some big portions. My wife got the all American. She enjoyed the bear battered fries. Even though she got the 1/4 Patty, she couldn't finish those either. I wouldn't say it's the best food I've ever had but I would definitely eat there again. This is specifically for the downtown location. I really liked this place and the service was helpful and friendly. Nice location with easy parking. The booth we had was lowly lit which I especially like for morning. The food was tasty, but not particularly adventurous, which is fine. They do the basics very well and they do have them all. The coffee was not great but the breakfast potatoes are especially good with just the right amount of spice. So much better than most hash browns. I will be back. read more

They were there ahead of us and had already ordered. We got there after and ordered separate. The food was good but that wasn't the problem. When we got our bill we were auto gratuity 15% (Any one that knows me knows that I worked in the service industry for years and is one of the best tippers out there) I questioned why the auto grat and was told "your a party of 6 or more. But we came in at separate times and ordered separately. But I was told "that's not how it works!" On top of this my 11 year old daughter asked if she could get chicken strips with onion rings instead of fries? They said yes. Well when we got the bill I was charged for a chicken strip basket and an onion ring appetizer. When I questioned that I was told there was no substitutions. Well we only got 5 onion rings in a basket with her chicken strips. By their logic she should have gotten the fries too and a whole shit ton more onion rings! my kids lunch was over 30.00 for chicken strips!!! Lastly after I paid they added a 3.00 service charge!! When I questioned that I was told it was because of used my Costco visa and they apply surcharges to all credit cards! They said it was written on the sign by the front door! WTF??!!! And then don't get me started on the 4.00 sodas they never offered to refill once!!!!??? 100.00 at the end of the day for 2 burgers and some chicken strips??!! Never again!! Overall great local vibe and great food AND service. Two things stuck out (well three if you count the staff clearly love being there): cauliflower wings; They are crispy when most places make them too mushy. Plus, the cook came to clarify my order rather than just assuming and making it wrong. This place is the real deal. Would recommend! read more

I last went to Cornucopia with my friend, Markus (Yes, that's "Markus" with a K, not a C). I took him and his partner, Ali out to lunch, and we all had lots of fun! I ordered one of their Philly steaks (I don't eat cheese, and I don't like onions or peppers). Markus ordered a Philly Tempeh (I think I spelled that right). This was shortly before they got married (They married on June 21, 2013, and have been married ever since!). I'd like to order him a $25 gift certificate for his birthday this year, since today, he turns the big 5 O! I'd loooooooooooooooove to give this company a solid 5 stars! I have been going to cornucopia for many years and I like the new burgers on their menu. I had the cheese curd burger which was huge! A little over cooked for my liking, but really tasty. The downtown location has easy parking with the free lot across the street. My issues with this location are around the seating and service mostly. When you walk in, you are immediately sort of directed at seats around the bar if you are a one or two person party. I do believe the bartenders are nice, but I have sat and twirled my thumbs during their conversations with guests at the counter more times than not. The last two times, I actually asked if I could sit in a booth in the side room and was told no, and both times ended up having to go up to the bar to get my drink and my check when I wanted them. I have also decided to get food delivered in the past and the price increase makes a burger over $20. Definitely too much for a burger that comes like warm and with cold fries. All in all, I appreciate their menu, although overpriced, tasty. The service is friendly, but not super professional. More of your "where everybody knows your name" atmosphere. read more

Came here for dinner during a work trip back around Halloween. So glad we did. The place was busy but we didn't have to wait long to be seated. I took advantage of the tater tots because most restaurants don't have them where I live. It's a nice change from fires. The burger was so good and not too heavy. Probably could've ordered on too go. There were Halloween decorations up which showed off their creative side. The staff took care of us and didn't rush us out the door as they were closing up. I wish I knew about this place sooner. In the midst of the COVID pandemic, Cornucopia provided a very safe and enjoyable outdoor dining experience. They have socially distanced tables and provide individual gas heaters for each table. I want to give an especially huge shout out to their wait staff. It's important to acknowledge how much added pressure and responsibility these wonderful people have taken in. TIP WELL! I'm a sucker for their Reuben. I get it a lot, probably too much. It's consistently good though so it's kind of my go-to. Their burgers are also good. Their bloody marys are awesome especially since they come with a beer back. Their assortment of apps are also solid including their cheese curds and fried cauliflower. In truly crappy times, Cornucopia (like many restaurants and bars here) has done an outstanding job adjusting and making the customer experience as good as it can be. read more
