The food is on point. It comes out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The bread had the perfect buttery toast on it. You taste the smokiness in the Pastrami. And the prime Rib was perfectly cooked. The fries were hot and crispy, though they could have used a little salt. Definitely try their house made fry sauce. Our waitress was very pleasant and friendly. We went in mid afternoon on a Saturday and didn't have to wait for anything. Plenty of parking, a nice outside seating area (weather permitting). We went for Taco Tuesday with some friends, and 3 out of 4 of us had tacos. The choice was hard or soft shell, I had the soft flour shell with ground beef. They were pretty large and tasty. The hard shells are a little smaller and the price reflects that. The atmosphere was decent and the service was great. This building has housed several different restaurants over the past 20 plus years and was most recently The Riverstop. The new owners opened Craig's in October 2020 but due to COVID they just recently reopened in late March/April 2021. We came here about 10am on a Saturday as a party of six. We glanced at the specials board on our way to the table and were provided menus and our drink orders were taken. Their menu has lots of breakfast and lunch options available and we were told they serve the entire menu all day!  Great news for us since my wife loves breakfast and I love lunch options! Three people in our party ordered the Prime Rib Scramble which was featured on the specials menu while two others also ordered breakfast and I ordered the patty melt. Our orders arrived shortly afterwards and looked great however we did notice that my patty melt had thousand island on it which I had ordered it without. I mentioned it to Vanessa our server and she immediately acknowledged it and rushed it back to the kitchen so they could prepare another one. My sandwich arrived a short time later and looked great. We all commented on how good everything tasted and the prices seemed very reasonable. Overall it was a great experience and even though my sandwich was wrong at first I feel that Vanessa took care of it right away. Amazing biscuits and gravy. The gravy is homemade and full of big chunks of sausage. We also had the corn beef hash, which the corn beef is cooked there at the restaurant not out of a can and was amazing. The atmosphere is like old day diner, very homey feeling. The waitress was amazing very attentive, top-notch service. Also took a piece of the cherry cheesecake home which is to die for I would drive there just for the cheesecake. It is a bit of a drive to get to outside of Springfield but it is well worth the drive. I would make it anytime, oh and some of the best prices I've seen in a long time read more

I've been coming to this place for since it opened in the early 90's and even though it changed name's and owners, it's still my go to spot for good food and great service. When I first ate at Craig's Lucky Logger a couple years ago, their food was fantastic. I especially enjoyed the delicious chicken strips and chicken fried steak. And their French fries were awesome too. I like the staff and the serv, but in the past year the food quality has gone down more and more with each visit. First, they changed their chicken strips from perfectly seasoned, plump meat with just the right amount of breading to chicken strips that are about a third as big, with breading that is as bland and tasteless as the tough meat it covers. And the chicken fried steak, in my opinion, has gone down hill also. I can't quite figure out the difference, but it isn't as good as when I first had it. Overall, most of their meals have decreased in quality also, including their breakfasts, so I believe I won't be going there anymore, which does make me sad. Their staff is fantastic. read more

I have waited to write a review until I visited this place a few times. My parents and I got groupons for this place and BOY am I glad.. NOT because it is expensive because actually the pricing is about average -- but because the food is actually good! The location is a little short pretty drive from Eugene. I tried the River Stop burger the first time with double the meat (I am a serious carnivore) it was okay... it was just a burger honestly. BUT it did have a 1lb of meat -- yes I said a lb -- so WHAT? I didn't eat it all there -- so be calm my heart attack fearers... .I went home and had the rest. It was good -- well cooked -- okay seasoning. Fries were good too... Mom got the double chicken fried steak and it was pretty good as well. Dad had the ground round and it was also pretty good... good portions and pretty good food. Nothing to write home about yet... ENTER the Farmer's Taters recommended to me by Marsha -- Ummmmm YUM!?!??! She said I should try it -- so I did (the next visit of course -- oh yeah and the next visit too ha ha ha)... basically a big skillet of food -- hashbrowns, mushrooms, onions, green pepper, jalapenos, ham, bacon, cheese and then topped with sausage gravy! We drove out for Saint Patricks day as the "Riverstop" had heavily advertised it's Paddy's day menu. The Bangers and Mash was pathetic to say the least. I've had Bangers and Mash at numerous restaurants on the west and east coast. This was by far the worst. The "Bangers": Not bangers...Bangers are actually a specific English Sausage. These were some sort of low end Sysco breakfast sausage. The "Mash": "Mash" is simply mashed potatoes with onion gravy. This was instant mashed potatoes with Sysco brown gravy. Since moving here, I have been looking for a good breakfast restaurant and I have found it here. I went with my fiance here since we were both craving breakfast food. Actually, even though I went here for breakfast, I ended up getting a burger. I decided to get the river burger with double meat and man that was big and tasty. It took awhile to get our food but they told me it was because my burger needed some time. It was definitely worth the wait. I also ordered a side of Hash browns just to satisfy my breakfast cravings. Definitely coming back here. After six visits, they got the orders incorrect all six times. When asked to remake it correctly at the last visit, the waitress started arguing and lying about the order. I asked for the receipt, and she at first refused, but finally gave it to me. She wrote the order down right but the cooks did it wrong. None of this would be terrible if the waitress and cooks were apologetic and fixed the issue. This did not happen. I do not recommend this establishment. read more

That rarest of things, a great little restaurant in the country. Most things home made and delicious, prices low and portions large, a small selection of very well priced wines, generous pours by the glass. Plenty of interesting specials like snapper or fresh fried oysters you wouldn't expect to find. Lots of happy locals, friendly quick service. Most dishes can be ordered in small medium and large portions, which is a nice feature. We ordered the large prime rib and split it, sized just right for us. The garden salad it came with was fresh had a very tasty homemade bleu cheese dressing. Choice of several sides, we had mashed sweet potatoes with some brown gravy, and au jus for the meat. Delicious, and very good value too. This is a breakfast lunch and dinner place that seems to do a lot of things well, all the dishes going by looked abundant and appetizing. Ate breakfast here on a Sunday AM, where we choose to sit in the bar. I got a traditional breakfast, coffee and a mimosa. My breakfast was very good, the bacon was tasty and they put something in their mimosas that make them extra special. My food was exactly as ordered and was served promptly while hot. Our server was attentive and very personable. Others in my party also enjoyed their meals and said they had excellent biscuits and gravy and the gravy had big chunks of sausage they just loved. And I remind you here that it was bad for my tastes--which often call 7-11 nachos and Taco Bell "yummy". But I also do a whole lot of cooking, and even more eating. So I know what it is to make truly delicious food, and I know what it's not. I'm sure there are a number of items here that would be fantastic, I just haven't been but once now. And I'd love to know what exactly they cooked all the food in on this visit. All of it was far too oily. Couldn't eat most of my omelet, nor could my partner eat any of her scrambled eggs. It was as though everything had been drizzled with olive oil, or far too much sausage/bacon grease. Either way it was too much. The gravy base was barely discernible to me. I couldn't tell if it was meant to be sausage gravy, or bacon gravy. I'm feeling like it was the former, but was so bland I really couldn't tell. What I do know is that my sausage gravy is unmistakeable. I cook up anywhere from 32-64 eggs each Sunday--meal prep for the week. I often do big scrambles, or omelets. No matter what I throw in them, from veggies/meats/cheeses.. I don't get this kind of oily mess. So my only criticisms would be that the food lacked flavor, and was quite oily. The rest of the visit was fantastic. Anyhow.... I recognize that it's impossible to please everyone, so this is clearly just my .02 cents. Very friendly service. Below par food. We split a plate of biscuits and gravy with a side of hash browns. Mistake. The eggs were strange at best. The biscuit tasted very heavy on the baking soda. But the greatest disappointment was the Bloody Mary. It tasted like straight up V8 juice and had rock salt on the rim which my girlfriend assures me is a human rights violation. This is one of the few places to stop along the way to many of our hiking haunts but we will not be returning. I recommend packing a picnic instead. read more

We have been here a few times. They have a great duck basket. The bar is super fun for a drink and just laying low. The reason for the 3 stars is not for the bar but the restaurant side. The staff the last few times has not known much about the menu when questions were asked. The menu items were limited. Sandwiches, burgers and fries baskets are your options. About a month ago, my husband and I visited the bar on a slow night. There were people at the bar and we were the only ones at a table. We sat expecting to be served as we had many times before, thus patienly waited. After thirty minutes, the bar matron never acknowledged or approached us.
