Hub & I are visiting the area and this was on my list to try because of the raves about the Cajun crab soup. We made it there for lunch, and it did not disappoint! The soup was simply fabulous, with noticeable crab shreds, with just-enough-to-notice spiciness. The onion rings were a large order...enough to share. The fish-n-chips were very tasty and crunchy. By far my favorite so far is the Dungeness Louie Salad. Hamburger and fries is basic but good. Fried pork loin sandwich is HUGE! (Ask for a side of bbq sauce to elevate it). Fish and chips are delicious. I love that they have a daily soup as well as clam chowder. (I'm a total soup gal!) Happy hour is from 4 to 6 and drinks are good and inexpensive. The wings are my favorite food wise. They have a senior/Junior menu which I appreciate. A full casual bar and well lit (if you like bright places lol) restaurant. The menu has a variety of options from farm to sea and daily specials. There are a lot of big screen TV's if you're looking for a place to watch the game or games. The establishment is handicap accessible. Plenty of parking. Clean restrooms. Friendly staff. We support small local businesses and are happy to have a nice eatery right down the street. Online food descriptions also set an expectation that turns to disappointment upon arrival. Crab Tacos sounded great. I've never had a crab taco. Never even heard of a crab taco. I love tacos. Miller's at the Cove has moved and rebranded. They are still in Charleston across the street from Englund Marine and is now Miller's Cove. The former seafood restaurant has been transformed to a restaurant and sports bar. The new full bar and its bar top are amazing. The food is the same with a few additions and still as good as ever. This place is light on ambience, extremely bright and clean, but waaay high on food quality! It is brightly lit with lots of tv's, def sports bar kind of place! Good for families. The service was very good and we got our food really fast. The "seniors/juniors" specials were a great size for us. We had fried oysters which were very fresh local ones, and beer battered halibut and chips. The beer selection is great, lots of micro brews on tap. We love going to Charleston to Chucks Seafood to get fresh fish, oysters, and crab, then stop here for a dynamite lunch. I'd say make this a happy stop! read more

Stopped in for lunch and was excited to ask about the Midwest-style pork tenderloin sandwich. I was even more excited when the server said it was pretty popular. My son and I ordered the pork sandwich and fried clams. The sandwich was very good, with the pork seasoned well and the focaccia super soft and toasted well. You can see in my pic how large the piece if pork is on the sandwich, the signature of the Midwest style. The fried clams are large pieces of the clam instead of strips. No problem there except by including the whole muscle, you also have to deal with the tough ligament that attaches to the shell. They were tasty, but I prefer the strips you find most places. The service was fine. I have been to Millers cove many times at the original location and have recommended to many people. This is not the same restaurant. I had prawn tacos and they were no where the quality that I've grown to expect. My 2shrimp were all but burnt, the quality of tortillas is substandard. I was very disappointed. The ambience was lacking. My friend had shrimp melt , she has ordered this before. The shrimp did not seem fresh and her sandwich wasn't nearly as good as it was before. Decent fish and chips. Not outstanding but by no means bad. The batter was good. The batter on one of our fish didn't really adhere to the fish and fell off. The fish itself was good but the batter got a little soggy. The fries were average. The coleslaw was...odd. It wasn't terrible but it really reminded me more of the curtido they serve with pupusas. JUST WOW!!! We are traveling in our RV and have spent the last 2 months around the Oregon Coast. We had the best meal (lunch) we've had today here at Millers at the Cove by far in all of the last 6 weeks! The restaurant was clean and busy. We searched sports bar because we wanted to watch a college football game. They had 7 great TV's. Our waiter was Taylor. He explained so much about the menu that we knew the best order for us. We had an oyster bacon sandwich on focaccia bread, Cajun crab chowder, and the snapper fish and chips. The fish and chips was not full of batter and SO fresh. Fries we so hot and crispy. And, their coleslaw was better than coleslaw-bell peppers and onion added to it. The sandwich had fresh focaccia and my husband said it was the perfect mix of each ingredient for any sandwich he's had. They serve local draft beers and a great price and selection. I'm writing this as we still sit here. This is a local favorite -to guess. I'm sure our lunch was consistent and would be considered the best spot in town. We were greeted almost immediately upon entry. We ordered appetizers that were delivered quickly as were the entrees. You can see into the kitchen and it is clean and organized. There were only a few tables with customers when we arrived and it quickly filled almost to capacity. It was not overly noisy, we were able to talk and hear each other without any problems. The Bay Shrimp cocktail was generous in portion and delicious, including the cocktail sauce. The oysters on the half shell, goodness, firm, tender, fresh and delectable. They are moving next month to a new location & what use to be our favorite go to restaurant when in town- "the fisherman's grotto" so we wanted to check them out. 3 stars service 4.5 stars food We had high hopes for this place due to all the positive reviews. Highly recommend do NOT come at 3:45-outgoing shift can't wait to get out of there, new shift hasn't quite began and not much attention paid to customers that just arrived. Plus, happy hour is at 4 o'clock -come to find out if you order at 3:58 you do not get happy hour prices. We had the chowder which was very yummy -more of a starchy potato base -than a buttery creamy base. Great flavor, would definitely have again. House salad was nicely done as well.
