Foley's Irish pub, Bandon, Oregon, September 4, 2025. We came in on a Thursday morning at about 11:30 AM. I noticed they had a sign advertising a tuna salad special for $18.95. It came with choice of dressing and garlic bread. I thought that sounds like a pretty good deal, so we decided to grab an outdoor table and get a bite. Both indoor and outdoor seating are very comfortable. Darla was our server, and she was a doll! She took our drink orders, a couple of Kentucky mules, and gave us a little time to for my wife to decide what she wanted. She decided on a bowl of the clam chowder and I got the tuna salad special. It was fresh grilled to perfection. I got it with a creamy balsamic vinaigrette, which was perfect. My wife's clam chowder was exceptional. The Kentucky mules were delicious! As a first time customer, I was disappointed with the Rueben sandwich. A typical Rueben is made with pastrami instead of corned beef, but the menu said "thinly sliced" corned beef which would have been fine, but my sandwich appeared and tasted like canned corned beef. I do hope this was a one-off, but I won't be ordering it again. read more

Seated immediately upon entering. Server was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The Ruben sandwich is without a doubt, the best I've eaten in the entire state of Oregon! This is a warm inviting pub to meet up for a meal and drinks. They have 5 large screen tvs with your current sports always on. We like their fish and chips, burgers, meatloaf but have had their starters scotch eggs, onion rings etc. Their draft beer is always cold and fresh We live in Bandon and stop in n from time to time over there years and always feel welcome. It's always been clean so I'm confused by some of the comments. Some people just can't be pleased by reading some reviews. This is a small town. Staff is super friendly and attentive. They have wifi. I was very impressed by this Irish pub. Everyone was very nice. The bartender made me feel very at home and told me about the different kinds of eggs between Scotland and Ireland. The food was terrible. The fries tasted straight out of a frozen bag. Everything was bare minimum. The French dip was just a piece or two of meat and a roll. Chicken strips and fried pickles were dipped in the same batter as the fish, and both were disgusting. They over charge for the food, and when I went to pay for the meal (to go), I should have received 11$ back but instead the waitress said " I'll give this to you waitress". Nice Irish pub in Bandon. Lots of football banners from all the clubs over there. I had the Shepherd's Pie. Great mashed potatoes on top. What really set this off was the excellent gravy poured on top. Very yummy. I traded out the salad for some of their garlic cheese bread. Give them a try. read more

Started off struggling to order a beer at the bar. After receiving a menu again struggled to get anyone to take my order after making eye contact with the server and the bartender. Finally the bartender took my order. The dining room was pretty empty unsure why the service was lacking. Ordered takeout and it was average. Not terrible but lacking. The fish and chips were ok the coleslaw was flavorless. It had no sauce or they forgot. The fish was heavily battered and lacking fish. Tried to have a conversation with bartender with the Irish accent. He acted like i was inconveniencing him and he spoke with anyone who talked to him with a terrible attitude during the whole conversation. Our waitress was amazing and very helpful. We only had water to drink but she always made sure it was full. We ordered the corned beef egg rolls and they were delicious ( only item i got a picture of). My son got a carne asada quesadillia and said it was really good, my mom got fish and chips and said thet were great. I got the bacon gorgonzola cheese burger but got it with cheddar instead. It was so good. I wanted it well done and it was cooked perfectly. They do have a period of time minors can come in. If your in Bandon I definitely recommend trying their food. Typical bar food and drink, but pretty expensive. I ordered the shepherds pie, which, for almost $20 I assumed would be a fairly nice size portion. It came out in a small soufflé dish, about 4 inches across. I've attached a picture so you can see the extravagance of the meal. Luckily, I'm a tourist so I won't be sticking around to make this one of my usual haunts. I assume we're talking a tourist area, so tourist pricing. 3.9.2024: We were visiting family again in Bandon and decided to drop by Foley's. We weren't hungry and just wanted a drink. The place was packed and we were lucky to find 2 seats at the bar. The drinks were perfect! The next night we went back for dinner. Fish and Chips to be exact. When we walked in we saw a very interesting sight. The place was packed once again and the man who seated people and provided menu's was running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Apparently, he was the only person taking care of that. He saw us and rushed over and found us a table. He was almost running! Then he disappeared. When he showed up again, he apologized and mentioned that there had been some kind of an accident in the kitchen...and disappeared again. The female bartender came over and took our order. We told her that we wouldn't be able to eat 2 orders of fish and chips and asked if she could keep the chips off the 2nd order. She said she could, and did. 2 more drinks... If you compare the photos from 2 years ago to what we got this time you can see a difference in the batter. These fishies held together better and were absolutely piping hot and perfectly done. Great little tourist town! We sat outside, it was the perfect day. We aren't drinkers so the patio was perfect for us! The place was clean as well as the bathrooms. Typical bar food, we went because my husband wanted a Scotch egg, well unfortunately this wasn't the place to get one, it seemed like a pre boiled egg with sausage added to the outside of the egg and then cut up, no runny middle, no real flavor. I was so excited to find this Irish bar. I have not had Harp on tap for a long time. But, $9.75 for a pint! That's insane. Come to find out, after talking to a friend who lives in Bandon and goes there on occasion. That there are different prices for locals and out of towners. Really??? Who does that? I will not return; everyone should be treated the same and priced the same. Especially when you need the tourism in the winter months. We will spend our winter visits in another establishment thank you very much. The only reason I gave two stars is because the waitress was awesome! Tall girl, very pretty. The owner was a grouch. Our first clue should of been that at noon on a Friday in July we were only people in the place. This should always be a red flag!! Worst drink ever...you don't serve a Car Bomb (Glass of Guinness with a shot of Baileys on the side) with only 2" of beer in bottom of glass.
