We stopped by for breakfast. The service was great very personable waitress. It was decorated very cute with lots of Coke things. The food was good, I had biscuits and gravy, my husband had a waffle and my daughter had a Denver omelette all which was good.

Traveling on the I5 and hungry for breakfast. Not wanting fast food, I searched Yelp for some ideas. We came across this cafe and drove the four miles from the exit to this blast-from-the-past restaurant. Kitschy Coca Cola decor and Elvis Presley grace the walls and tables. Friendly staff greeted us with smiles and gave us the rundown on what's prepared in-house. Their recommendations were on point. The chicken fried steak was probably the best we've had in a restaurant! Hand-dipped cube steak with a crunchy, well seasoned coating was covered in a creamy, peppery gravy and paired with a side of eggs, country potatoes, and buttered sourdough toast. We also got a half order of biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was tender and fluffy, and for $5.50, that was the bargain dish of the day. And our coffee and ice tea were refilled often. For a locals place, we felt right at home from the moment we walked through the door. Looking forward to our next visit.

I've heard that the older couple who owned/ran this place has retired. A lot about the business is still the same. They have updated/enlarged the bathroom, so it is now wheelchair accessible. The portions are not as huge as they used to be, but the price is still very good. I had the Veggie omelet with hashbrowns & homemade biscuit($11). It was very tasty, and definitely satisfied my hunger. My husband had the steak sandwich that has caramelized onions & cheese paired with sweet potato fries ($15). He said it was very good.

We came here for a Sunday morning breakfast and were not disappointed. Service and food were both great. We were seated promptly, got our waters and coffee. Food arrived not too long after ordering. I had the Busy Bee Special with waffle: a nice big fluffy waffle, 2 slices of bacon and 2 eggs over-medium. Yumm! We also had the scramble, without bell peppers. But the winner of was the Chicken Fried Steak, with eggs over easy and country fries. The steak was tender with perfectly crisp outer layer and very nicely seasoned. So good, it's what I will be ordering from now on, despite not being a big breakfast lover! The ambiance is casual but clean. Plenty of free parking. They are open for breakfast and lunch, with a relatively limited menu but still plenty of choices. Definitely recommend this local favorite.

Our visit to Cascade Biscuit Kitchen was really disappointing…read more The restaurant is kinda fast casual I guess, because you order at the counter and then sit at your table for your food to come out. My mom ordered a waffle a la carte and it was honestly stunned to see that it was a pre-made waffle (I saw her put it in the oven when I was getting some water). Liege style they may be, but Eggo liege? I mean I clearly don't know they use Eggo waffles specifically, but I just cannot believe they charge over $5 for a frozen waffle they stick in the oven for a couple minutes. We ordered some beignets for the table, and beignets came with the meal; we assumed they'd come first. It was a lot of food, especially all at once, so the beignets didn't quite get the full attention they deserved. But they were just ok, and if you're looking for beignets I wouldn't come here just for that; Oh My Mini Donuts in Eugene makes them better. Probably the best part of the meal in my opinion was the breakfast casserole thing they have--their potatoes. It reminds me of a breakfast thing that my mom used to make and now I need to find a recipe for it so I can make it soon. The biscuits were not bad, though the butter was cold so it couldn't really spread very well and that made the biscuit a bit dry. And on an 80 degree day they couldn't put any ice in their water container (water is self-serve) so it was room temperature. I'm glad that we came because now I don't have to wonder about it anymore. And I mean, it's in Springfield just on the other side of Glenwood, and the Eugene/Springfield area isn't huge so it took all of 15 minutes to get her. But everything I had here--except for the potato casserole--is something I can get a better version of elsewhere, and closer.

The space is really cute--feels like a legit southern biscuit place, it's tidy and clean but without frills (in a good way). The benches can seat a lot of people! We ordered a Ron Swanson breakfast, a Chicken & Waffles Breakfast, and some beignets (because I had to try them)! As you can see in the pictures, there is a LOT of food! The waffles are liege waffles, the yummy kind with the sugar crust! And it was all really delicious! The beignets were hot and flaky and came with this light lemony creamy stuff that was very good. We ended up taking home boxes--I feel like I've got enough food leftover for 1.5 meals! They have Coke Products & juice in a case, along with unlimited coffee and water. The staff was friendly, considerate, and gave some great recommendations.

She's a local and has worked at some of the best coffee shops in Eugene, and you can tell. She knows her craft always great service. The coffee art is always on point, and the service is consistently great. I actually check to see when she's working because I know it'll be dialed in. I'm vegan and there are plenty of options, which I appreciate. I had the Lovely Bowl this time -- fresh, flavorful, and filling without feeling heavy. Their juices are amazing too. Everything tastes clean and fresh. Kudos to the kitchen for how efficient they are -- food comes out quick and well done every time. I've had both breakfast and lunch here and it's all been solid. Sat outside with my dog, who loves hanging out and chilling while I drink my coffee. It's a clean, relaxed space and just easy to enjoy. What a lovely place. I'll keep coming back -- especially when Emily's behind the bar.

No complaints from any family members, and my meal was absolutely delicious. I got it to go since I had the pups with me (great place to take them out for a walk). Clean streets. Lots of grassy area and art sculptures in the back of the building. The restaurant has indoor sitting, outdoor heating and not heated outdoor area. Two bathrooms. Parking lot and street parking available. Busy during our visit but they had lots of sitting and games to entertain the family. One thing I really appreciated is that a lot of the dishes let you add avocado instead of it being automatically included. Since I can't have avocado due to an allergy, having it as a side option was perfect. Meanwhile, my kiddos love avocado, so they happily added it. Everything we had tastes fresh. Overall, it's a great stop when you're traveling to the coast--easy, family-friendly, and satisfying.

My breakfast from the Hay Y'all food truck in Eugene arrived with promise, and in many ways, it delivered. The flavors were thoughtful, deliberate, and undeniably well executed. The pecan-crusted chicken was juicy, its crust confident and well seasoned. The French toast was rich without excess. The biscuits were fluffy and deeply comforting, and the gravy--pepper-forward yet restrained--was balanced precisely to my taste. This is food made by someone who understands flavor. And yet, cuisine is not merely flavor. It is temperature, proportion, and expectation meeting reality. Despite picking up my order immediately and driving no more than two minutes home, nearly everything arrived lukewarm--hovering uncomfortably between hot and forgotten. This was the single greatest disappointment, as warmth would have elevated every component substantially. Food like this begs to be eaten hot, not merely remembered as such. Portion size, particularly for the pecan-crusted chicken and French toast, also fell short of what had been promised--if not verbally, then visually. Online images suggest generosity: three, sometimes four pieces of chicken. My plate held two, both smaller than expected. The price remains reasonable, but I would gladly pay slightly more to receive portions that align with those expectations. The accompanying fruit, while a pleasant gesture, felt miscast. Tart strawberries and under-ripe pineapple did little to complement the dish. In January, this is forgivable--but perhaps a preserve or jam would serve the plate better, offering harmony rather than contrast. And yet, I find myself conflicted. Because despite these shortcomings, the food is good. More than good. It is thoughtful, balanced, and clearly prepared with care. With accurate portioning and food served properly hot, this meal would easily earn four, perhaps even five stars. I know this. For that reason, while my immediate, emotional reaction rests closer to a three or three-and-a-half out of five, I am rating this experience a four out of five stars. The quality of the cooking warrants generosity, even when execution falters. I was there very early, right at opening, and I recognize that busy mornings can challenge even capable kitchens. I will return. Not out of optimism, but out of confidence--because when food is this well conceived, it deserves another chance to be served as intended.

I will also say, I worked in restaurants for almost 8 years and I am VERY understanding of costs and the possibilities of off days. But this place is honestly ridiculous. First of all, I did a to-go order, so my review is completely about that experience, the food, and the cost. I do not have a review of the service. $18 dollars for a breakfast burrito sounded crazy, but since it was my bad not checking the prices, I went through with it. The food was not at all worth $18. It was bland and soggy, not moist or juicy from the sausage, just soggy. The flavor of the sausage was good but other than that the burrito was completely bland. The home fries on the side were pretty tasty but I didn't even want them and would've preferred them inside the burrito or not included at all for a lower price. My main reason for leaving 1 star and not maybe 2 or even 3 is that they charge a 10% gratuity on to-go orders which, to me, is unacceptable. I generally tip about that much on my own for to-go (20-35% if I eat in for people who think I'm awful lol), but given the food is ridiculously overpriced I was unsure if I would this time. Them making that decision for me without any heads up ensures I will never come back here again. A small note on ambience; the place is stinky. As I said, I didn't sit down so take this with a grain of salt, but when I walked in I was blasted with a musty and kind of dirty smell that would've had me not wanting to stay for a meal. I honestly feel bad writing this review but this place does not deserve the communities continued business unless they SERIOUSLY up their game. I don't believe I will ever be back but hopefully they improve and actually live up to the 4.1 rating that they have. There are many, many better tasting and more affordable options throughout Eugene, even places with much lower ratings.

However, we will be on the hunt for a new place to become our families favorite. Steve's recently became under new management and though the restaurant has gone under cosmetic changes, not all the changes are good. They have "updated" the menu- meaning they just increased the prices of everything. For example they want $12 for one biscuit and a sausage link, that's steep considering just down the street you can get the same plus eggs for $9. Or another example today we paid $21 for 2 Bloody Marys and one coffee, those are airport prices. The service is way slower and not as familiar. I'm not sure what the owners are thinking but these changes are sure to lose them a large amount of regulars. We know we won't be going back.
