12 oz Mocha with Oat Milk

Yet another cozy coffee shop. Nestled in a strip mall right off the highway for easy access. No loud music or weirdness. Perfect coffee and breakfast sandwich. The staff was polite in making a substitution with my breakfast bagel and made me feel welcome

Had their mexican mocha and matcha, I would pick the mocha/coffee options over the matcha (it was a little unblended on the bottom and overly sweet), pretty good coffee and a super cute interior. Highlight for sure was the panini, super cheesy and an amazing price for the amount that you get. What a great pesto too. Get the panini!!!

Short: Fast, friendly, delicious! Good selection of drinks and food. Nice to stop by and support a small local business. Visited the week of July 22nd around 10am. I arrived with my friend this morning. The cafe was practically filled with not only patrons but also an atmosphere of easy going-ness. I was promptly greeted and given a moment to review the pastries available and menu. The pastry showcase was a good brightness and looked very clean/clear. Along with their menu, very clear and straightforward, table list format, with coffee options, sizes, and prices. I bought a White Mocha with 2% milk [$4.85] and a vegan gluten free banana bread slice [$3.25]. The barista asked if the milk option was fine, if I wanted whipped cream, and if I wanted my banana bread warmed up. My friend got a Cafe au Lait with oat milk [$5.65] and a coffee cake (also warmed up)[$3.50]. The employees were very prompt, helpful, and friendly. We took a seat and less than 5 mins our order was ready. Pastries warmed up and drinks were nicely hot. [The food]: My vegan banana bread (gluten free) was honestly some of the best Banana bread I have ever eaten, and I love banana bread. I didn't even know it was gluten free until I looked back at the food sign. It was a pretty big sized loaf and for the price similar to other cafes, but vegan and gluten free!! It was a steal. It wasn't dense like some pastries can get and it tasted fresh and very natural. Definitely will be coming back for this! Plus having it warmed up just made it more amazing. I tried to coffee cake, the top had a very good crumble and it had a nice cinnamon taste throughout, definitely a solid coffee cake. I would recommend it as well, since it tasted freshly made and having it warmed up definitely served that cinnamon flavor. It wasn't dense either and the filling was just the right amount and the crumbiness. [The drinks]: I had a white chocolate mocha, and could you believe this? It really tasted like white chocolate mocha! (Especially due to my disappointments lately with Mocha and not tasting any chocolate..) It didn't need to be any sweeter, which I appreciated, and overall it had a good white chocolate taste throughout the drink. Simple yet executed so well. The interior of the cafe was very natural and had flower aspects (since it is also a flower shop), they do host other local products in their cafe, but it didn't appear out of place or trying to sell to your face, which I like. There is also a fireplace, and the interior design was well done. The area while small did not feel so dense and was trying to be as light/spacious it could be. I did find the furniture were a bit oddly placed, however considering the size of the cafe, they managed with what they have. They do have live plants around as well with pieces of art or coffee pictures. Overall, a very cute and fresh local small cafe. They did have some specials along with a good amount of selections for both food/pastries and drinks (not only coffee, but shakes and kid drinks). I definitely would like to come back again!

My grandson ordered an iced hot chocolate with soft top lol the barista made it.

The staff was so nice! I loved the ambiance of the place and the coffee drink was delicious too :)

    Decaf white mocha to go

SUCH a cute spot! Everything is decorated with fun yet tasteful knick knacks and some of them are for sale. I've never heard of a coffee shop that also doubles as a florist and hosts sidewalk events, but this place does those things and I love it! I went in for a quick coffee and decided immediately that I wanted to spend more time there on my next visit. I ordered a decaf white mocha and it was so good, exactly what I'd wanted. I should also mention that I came in for a carry-out drink during COVID-19, and the care and precautions I saw the barista taking both during and between every transaction was very reassuring. I can tell they really care about details and taking care of their customers.

Definitely worth the time to go and visit! Very cozy and honestly, can't believe this charming store isn't part of 5th Street Market or in some vintage style building downtown Springfield. Has great coffee and tea selections, delicious breakfast and snack options and the owner was great. Easy to find. Plenty of parking. Closed on Sundays. I was sad on Sunday. :) Look forward to going again for sure! Thanks for bringing such a quality business into the outer reaches of Springfield!

Worst florist around!!! Terrible business practices. I went in with a picture of my bridal bouquet…read more Was told it would cost me 65.00. Come my wedding day when my friend picked up my bouquet the bouquet I got was not like the picture at all. I called in tears. Said they would have manager call me back. No call. They called me night before to see when i would pick it up and to make sure it would be ready. Finally called me sunday, i missed cal and called right back. No answer. Saw tonight they emailed me saying it was my fault because they were doing me a huge favor for the price I wanted to spend. I would have spent as much as needed for my bouquet THEY ARE THE ONES WHO SAID 65.00! Going to make it a point to let everyone know how they are and will be posting the pics and their email on my page. Terrible business!! Here is email they sent me when I COMPLAINED. They didnt even have the decency to get ahold of me on the phone. Kelli bouquet sept 13 kelli bingham I have been thinking and I think I want to stick with the roses. kelli bingham Hello I wasnt sure if you got my email with my bouquet picture. I want it just like the picture but with dark purple roses instead of light purple.... N Nick & Monique Lake Sounds good J From: kelli bingham [mailto:kbingo2010@gmail.com] Sent: Kelli, Good morning I am sorry to hear you felt your bouquet was less than what you wanted. I do however need to remind you that I did you a huge favor by making your bouquet in the budget that you had told me you had to work with. It is very unfortunate that you were not please as we strive for customer satisfaction. In fact that is why I quoted you such a low price due to you being obviously emotionally upset with the thought of being unable to have wedding flowers. Again I apologize that you were less than happy. I will not be issuing a refund due to the cost of the flowers and supplies. Not to mention the time it took me to spray the white roses dark purple at your request. After all of my time I not only made zero profit but actually took a loss. We are sorry for any inconvenience and wish you the best. Sincerely , Nick & Monique Lake Affair with Flowers

I don't think I've ever given a one star review before, but I think it's applicable when dealing…read morewith this florist. I ordered a large bouquet of flowers for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day through one of the larger online retailers (to be fulfilled by the local florist). I even paid for the upgrade to the "Deluxe" bouquet for a total of $65. I read the website carefully to make sure I could be reasonably assured that the photo shown was representative of what would be delivered. I lucked out in that the description under the Deluxe upgrade was that the flowers delivered would be "as close as possible" to the photo on the website. I absolutely anticipated some difference in the actual bouquet, particularly since it was going to be a busy weekend, flower-wise. Not quite. SEE THE PHOTO I uploaded to show what my mother-in-law actually received in a split-shot of the photo on the website. In other words, it was a fraction of what I paid for! The filler greenery was dying by the next day, one of the two lilies broke as soon as it opened and even the ribbon was fraying. I emailed Monique on Monday with the photos and a printout of the description of the Deluxe upgrade. She left me a voicemail on Tuesday, which I returned the next day. I didn't hear anything by the next day, so I forwarded my original email again on Wednesday night. Still no response. I forwarded my email so she could see it for a THIRD time on Friday and let her know I would contact the originating website if I didn't hear from her by Monday evening. I received an email from her on Monday morning apologizing for the delay "because the shop was closed for the weekend". I'm not sure that explained the delay between Tuesday afternoon and Monday morning, by at this point, I was happy to receive anything! I attempted to email her back, but her the email bounced back because her website had expired on 5/16/15. Sigh. So I called her and just crossed my fingers that someone would answer. She told me that although I had spent $65 with the originating vendor, only a small amount of that money actually reaches her, so she filled the order based on that. I didn't catch the exact dollar amount, but it was in the neighborhood of $16. I told her that although I sympathize, her financial arrangement with the originating website should have no bearing on me. If she didn't receive a large enough cut to make it worth her while to fill these orders, then she should definitely speak with them - but cheapening my order was not the appropriate way to handle that issue. She then tried to tell me that the bouquet she prepared WAS the same as what I ordered - but it was just that the lily hadn't opened yet. I wondered if she was kidding. I clarified again with her - did she *really* think the two bouquets were the same? She said she wouldn't argue that point any further. I let her know that I ordered the same bouquet from the same website for my mother in Portland - and it was delivered on par with the website photo without issue. It didn't matter; it was obvious I was getting nowhere with her and the fact that I had waited a week for this conversation was not helping matters. When I told her I would speak with From You Flowers directly to request a refund, she told me that was a good idea. Wow! I, too, own my own business, and I can confidently say that I wouldn't have clients if this was how I chose to handle questions and concerns. The next time I order flowers in the Eugene area, I will choose any other available florist besides Affair With Flowers.
