ME & Moore Farm's pumpkin patch is now open (since yesterday, normally they do not open on Sundays…read morebut did for this special day). My husband and I decided to make a stop by this smally family owned farm, hoping to see pumpkins and purchase some vegetables and fruits. Unfortunately this farm is not dog friendly so our little girl stayed in the car (please note that the temperature was cold and had lightly rained earlier so she was not overheated while she waited a short time for us). We walked inside the open air store and ended up purchasing 2 Empire apples and one zucchini. We haven't had the chance to cook the zucchini yet (will do so tomorrow once we arrive at our AirBnB that has a kitchen) but we ate the apples and they were nice and crisp. The skin of the apple was thick but was good. Loved the color of this apple and the creaminess of the inside. Service was generally friendly and quick (but we were not acknowledged when we first came in, as the 2 employees were having a conversation between themselves, with the backs turned). The unisex restroom that I used was clean and adequately stocked with the essentials. Overall, had a nice experience and would consider coming back if I lived in the area.

It's mid December and this oasis of fresh fruit and vegetables will soon close for the winter. Their wide selection of corn is prize winning. And this family owned farm brings you happiness that even the Waltons would envy. See ya in the Spring.

It was so special to go there the day before the wedding with my maid of honor and bridesmaid to pick up my order of dried florals and then wander around the grounds to do some u-pick for the live flowers and greenery. We got to have a little "Stardew Valley" moment and it was so memorable. The flowers we got turned into the most beautiful bridal bouquet and stunning boutonnieres, I didn't have to spend a fortune on florals, and I couldn't be happier!

Located at the foot of Mt.Pisgah in Eugene Oregon, our crops consist of foliage of all kinds; ornamental herbs, grasses and grains, unique sticks, pods and berries. A sizable part of our farm includes popular annual and perennial flowers such as larkspur, peonies, calla lilies, lavender. We have also devoted a majority of our acreage to woody shrubs and trees such as Viburnum, Ilex, Spirea, Weigela, Hydrangea, Cotinus, Lilac, Snowberry, Cornus, Eucalyptus, Specialty Conifers, Ornamental Cherries and Almonds. Our farm relies on the principles of regenerative agriculture to grow our rows and rows of lushly blooming fields.

It's my sister's favorite butcher shop though, and when I'm going to make a pot roast I want to use the best meat, so we stopped by here. It was larger and more spacious than a lot of butchers which I appreciated--often they're super crowded. The area where you enter has a nice selection of cheese and wines as well as some other foods. The staff was friendly and helpful. ETA: Today when I started to make my pot roast, imagine my surprise when I found that I had two chuck steaks... not really super conducive to pot roast, and a little annoying since I asked for chuck roast. I've been to other butchers and asked for chuck roast and never been given bone-in chuck steak. This isn't something I could use because it wouldn't fit into the pot and I couldn't cut it with the bone in, so I had to go buy another $40 of meat at Albertson's. Not sure that I'll be returning to Long's. Hope my sister can use the meat so it won't be a total waste of the $30 I spent here.

Parking is a little janky if you're not used to the area, but this grocery store is otherwise a hidden gem! It might be run of the mill for locals; I'm not sure if this is a large chain that's all over the place or if it's less common, but the produce, meat, and cheese departments blew me away. I just want to rave a bit about this particular section of the store - most everything else was similar to what your expect. I've never seen such a large selection of items in a grocery store deli before... it was honestly slightly overwhelming to pick just a few items to try. There are individually wrapped chunks of tons of different types of cheeses, dried meats and prepackaged ones, accoutrements like breadsticks, olives, mini jelly and jam jars, and more. It was amazing. The bakery case was a whole other story... I have the biggest sweet tooth and can't get enough of baked goods, and their displays were absolutely gorgeous. I unfortunately didn't purchase anything from this section, but I can only imagine it's delicious lol. Checking out was easy as it usually is when grocery shopping and the lady that helped me out was friendly, so I really had absolutely nothing to complain about during my extremely brief visit to this super cool store.
