This place is good for a simple burger at a great price. Cheap food that is filling. Their fry sauce is delicious. Will be back! If you're looking for gourmet burgers, this isn't your place. If you're looking for a quick burger that is better than chain fast food, this is the place.

Wow, that's the freshest, juiciest burger I've had in a long time! Make sure to order off the 2nd page of the menu with the fresh beef burgers- wowza, 100% excellent. Crinkle cut fries were airy and fresh, and the restaurant was immaculately clean. A total bargain on high quality beef. Thanks Bonanza!

Old fashion diner. Great service, typically only 1 waitress per shift. Good old fashioned burger and crinkle cut fries.

Best burgers in town!! Delicious curly fries. The very best soft serve. It's been a family favorite of ours for 25 years and counting.

August 13, 2025: My wife and I had been on the road all day, got a hotel in Cottage Grove, and…read morebegan browsing for food. We just needed "something to eat", so we settled on The Grove. The outside and even the front entry give the vibe of a "hole in the wall" so we were prepared to simply fill our stomachs, especially since we arrived "after the grill was closed" which in this case simply meant that the head cook had left. But a very, very pleasant hostess assured us everything on the menu was still up for grabs. We sat down in the front cafe, which has that feeling of a place that's been around since the 1970's and only occasionally renovated. Given my fifty years of restaurant experience, I was still in the mindset of being content just to have something to eat, so long as it was edible. My wife and I both were blown away. I forget what she had but it was "the best one she had ever had", and my barbeque sandwich was absolutely delicious. The crinkle-cut fries were hot, just crispy enough. Our expectations were exceeded by a mile, and it wiped away any preconceived notions I may have had by looking at the restaurant's physical presence. Our hostess, name forgotten but I hope she remembers being on duty on Wednesday the 13th and making our night, was always smiling, always gracious; and despite her having to attend to the back of the restaurant where the bar was located, she never left us hanging. The icing on the cake was the price! A comparable BBQ-and-fries anywhere in my hometown of Redmond, OR, is easily 17 bucks these days. My meal at The Grove was $12.99, a solid four dollars less expensive and yet still superb, everything I like in a BBQ sandwich and fries. Obviously I cannot speak to the daytime staff, or the barroom experience, but my wife and I left extremely happy and satisfied, and if we ever pass through Cottage Grove again, The Grove will be our first choice for grabbing a meal.

Better cooks that give a sh**. They seem to think everyone is drunk. I'm not. Serve decent food as…read moreadvertised. Cheap ass.

It took a little bit, so I went up to the counter and I asked the owner/manager if they still have pulled pork sandwiches here he walk away as I was talking and waiting for an answer?? He started no we don't as he walk away from me and went to the table to assist other customers. I thought that was very odd and rude because he went to where my family was sitting so I went and sat down and then I asked him again and he said no we don't so we started ordering then he said I'll be back came back to our order. He was very disorganized very rude AnyWho I thought that was rude and odd of him. He took our order. I did order a half BLT with the soup $10.89 other family members ordered a mushroom burger / french fries $13.89 other family member ordered mozzarella sticks $7.89 bar like Food (simple food) The services was very poor&slow and at the end we paid the bill $41.00 total I was like for WHAT......... So I ask why (the owner/manager) did you charge us that much He said that we got extra I'm like noooooooooo Any who if it cost extra for cheese on a burger or if it cost extra for your french fries and if it cost extra for dipping sauce for your mozzarella sticks, stay away! Not once when he took our order that he told us there was gonna be extra cost for any of the extra stuff he claimed we added to our order I guess you can't assume that you get french fries with your burger you assume you get cheese on your sandwich or you get dipping sauce for your mozzarella sticks! I politely asked him Why didn't you let us know that there was extra cost for these items? I don't mind paying it when somebody let you know (courtesy)anyways he ended up by returning $3.00 dollars of the $8.00 dollars over charge and told me never to come in the restaurant again, all I'm saying is be AWARE of extra cost people are just trying to get away with whatever they can. That's not ok

I asked for a pink burger and it was so hard and over cooked, so I ate my fries which were very good hand cut and crispy , then took the rest home for the dog as it was not edible.
