At $14 it is not cheap, but it is well worth it when you consider the quantity... this can easily feed 2 people. Their acai bowls are really good and beautifully presented. Also I'm pretty sure this is the only place in the area that you can get these, so kudos for filling in that need. I'm also a big fan of their tempeh "bahn-mi" sandwich, very well-crafted and delicious. It came with a soup -- and orange tomato bisque, and I must say this knocked my socks off. The soup and sandwich really complemented each other...this is definitely my go-to lunch treat. Their smoothies ($8) were a godsend when I was under the weather...I've enjoyed one with spinach, pineapple, ginger + banana, as well as one with strawberry, banana, pineapple + blueberries. Everything is always so good. THE PORTIONS! Holy cow. I challenge you to eat a whole order of homemade biscuits and gravy. No but seriously you should order a 1/2 order. The restaurant wasn't busy, with only about three other occupied tables. During that time, both the manager/host and our waitress were sitting together at a table on the opposite side of the restaurant. I do want to recognize the busser, who was the one employee consistently hard at work throughout our visit. He was attentive, busy clearing tables, and ultimately the person who made sure we received service. Once our waitress came over, she was friendly and took our order, but we never saw her again for the rest of the meal. There were no check-ins, no drink refills, and no effort to see how everything was. The food was beautifully presented, but unfortunately it lacked flavor and was already slightly cold by the time it reached our table. To top it off, when we paid our bill, no one asked how our meal was or whether everything had been satisfactory. It felt like there was no interest in the overall guest experience. Overall, the service and food did not meet expectations, especially with how quiet the restaurant was. Sadly, this wasn't an experience worth repeating, and we won't be returning.
