Takes time to make a great sandwich. These are great sandwiches. Best in Eugene. Service can be intermittent as the staff are both taking orders, preparing orders the old-fashioned way, and consequently not really keeping an eye on the people queued to pick up their orders. No complaints, though. I get it. read more

When I tell you I drool over these sandwiches... they are sooo good! They have a very grungy, chill laid back atmosphere. The sandwiches are pricey but totally worth it! They sauces, the pickles, etc! Great quality and one of the best toasted sub spots I've tried! I go here almost every week! read more

Service was fast despite the line and the sandwiches were delicious. Plenty of meat and very filling.

The perfect sandwich chain for stoners and sandwich lovers! Fun vibes and great subs! I went to one in Bend and this one delivered the same great experience. Like the signs say, don't expect a fast sub - good things take time. G-13 was my choice - absolutely scrumptious! The bread is toasted perfectly and it's loaded up. You probably can't go wrong with your choice read more

The sandwiches are excellent and are a good value. There is a tiny, dog-friendly patio. Highly recommend!

What a spot, as a college student I'm always looking for a good sandwich shop to go to with my friends. Last week, my buddies and I decided to try Cheba Hut since we've walked past it countless times. The sandwiches were amazing, and super filling. Great flavor on all three of our sandwiches. Everyone there was super nice so all around the service was good. Although this app only allows "full" stars my honest review would be a 4.25. Not quite a 4.5 but definitely better than a 4. Try this place out and you won't be let down. read more

Amazing! The food and service was a wholesome experience. I had the French dip on garlic bread and had them add horseradish. It was very good. Very fresh and great quality of a sandwich. The servings are large so I had leftovers which tasted just as delicious as the first time. We had a large group and not a single one of us had a complaint. Great menu items and such a nice variety of choices. Will definitely be going back! read more

During a recent trip through Eugene, I enjoyed lunch at this very cool place. The food is fantastic. The line was long. Usually, I am way too impatient to wait that long, but I am so glad I did. I ordered the Griefo and the Not-Chos. The Griefo was delicious and mess. The bread is out of this world. The sandwich was loaded with toppings; the sandwiches are served open-face, so I guess that's what you call them. The Not-Chos were spicy and awesome. The prices were reasonable too. I feel like this is not only a nod to the stoner culture; I mean come on, you are in Oregon! But it also felt like a place I would have frequented as a teenager. It has a very early 90's vibe. The people are great, too. Everyone was working super hard and I got the food pretty fast despite the longer wait in line. The guy at the register was so patient. There was a group ahead of me with about 12 people. They opened the other register to help move things along. His infectious patience and kindness helped set the right tone for the visit. I will definitely return when I pass through again. read more

I ordered to go. My food was amazing. I ordered the only option that came close to a vegan sandwich. I took away the feta cheese and the "Shake" as it has parmesan. I switched regular hummus to Jalapeño cilantro hummus and added extra guacamole and jalapeños. The place is very nice. And customer service was great. I definitely will be ordering from them again. read more

This place is great! The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect. References weed everywhere in the shop. The sandwich selection is large. And the flavor profiles are definitely delicious! One beef is that when you get mushrooms, they are not cooked. I didn't get any photos this time, but the sandwiches are a long subs. Service is always friendly and fast! read more

It's a shame I have to be in Eugene or Bend for these sandwiches! Every time I'm in town for a ducks game, this is my go-to. The bread is fantastic, the sandwiches are flavorful, and I never leave disappointed. The white widow or the French dip are my usuals. Bring one to PDX! read more

Visiting my daughter who is a student at UO. We were looking for a good sandwich for lunch. She said let's go to this place called Cheba Hut. What a great recommendation it turned out to be. It is a very eclectic type of lunch spot for sure. Their menu is unique to say the least. But it was a very pleasant surprise when we got our sandwiches. I ordered the Kali Mist on wheat and added feta cheese. The flavor profile was awesome. Could have used a bit more avocado and pickles, but overall the sando was great. And I'm not a bread lover at all, but their bread is better than advertised. My daughter had the White Widow, which she loved and my friend had the Thai Stick, which was also great. If you're in Eugene, you defiantly have to grab lunch here. I also love that they offer a 4" sando for those of us that don't have huge appetites. Next time I go I'm getting one of their vegetarian options. They have some great ones on the menu. read more

Best subs in Eugene for the price. I love the variety of warm sandwiches and chicken options here that you don't find at a lot of other places. The bread is superior to anywhere else. Plus, the staff is always so nice and helpful! read more

Pretty good sandwich and an interesting decor. It's a little spendy but what place isn't nowadays? The service is a little lackluster but it's a college town and they weren't rude so it's still a win in my book. I'd go back. read more

I love the ambience at this place. The service is straightforward and friendly and the food is so delicious. I always take my sisters here when they come to visit. I love that I use to live in Colorado and had Dutch Bros and Cheba Hut there also. Makes me feel special. read more

Sandwiches here are excellent. They specialize under toasted subs. Order at the front counter after a short wait in line (worth the wait). Choose from meat sandwiches, chicken & turkey sandwiches, or veggie sandwiches. Something for everyone. Choose your type of bread and the size of your sub. Select from 4", 8", or 12" subs. All subs are made to order with good quality ingredients and then the toasted as open face sandwiches which you would close up as you eat. We ordered in our group, La Canna (Italian), the A-Train (mushroom marinara), and thr 5-0 (the pig, baby!). It was all delicious and we ate everything. You can order soft drinks for the soda fountain, and cups for water at the front cashier with your food. The rear counter is for beer. Ask about types of beer on tap. read more

Did online order, showed up and said they didn't have my order. Dude said we "probably chose the bend store, that happens a lot". When I asked if they could look it up he just said sorry it's not our system. Terrible customer service. Was really looking forward to trying their food. In reply to Cheba Hut, no we did not get our order. I was told we could seek a refund which is what we'll do once we get our receipt. read more

I've been to this Cheba Hut a few times and each time has been good. The staff are all friendly and work hard to get good food out to their customers. Even when the line is long it moves quickly. Today I got the pretzel nuggets and the white widow on garlic herb bread. The pretzel nuggets were fantastic as always and I wish I could make my own. The honey mustard dip is also really good, and I'm someone who normally can't stand any kind of mustard. I even ended up pouring the leftover honey mustard into my sandwich. Speaking of which, the sandwich was great! The chicken was tasty and the bread was soft inside and perfectly toasted outside. Normally I get the meatball sub but I think I may stick with the white widow for a while since I enjoyed it so much today. The restaurant itself is about what you'd expect from a place close to campus that serves great subs targeted towards a younger customer base who like to partake. The vibes were pretty on point and comfortable. The bathroom was remodeled a while ago and they have a sign up inside it that asks people not to write on the walls because of that, and people actually seem to respect it. That shows how much people like and appreciate this restaurant. The parking isn't great - there's a tiny parking lot behind the building and some free street parking a block over, but the rest in the area is either paid or reserved. There's a huge lot next to the restaurant that is paid on weekends and reserved during the week. The parking lot on the other side is reserved for residents of the apartment building next door. I'll continue to go to Cheba Hut when I'm craving a good sub. I only wish they were closer to my side of town (West Eugene) or that they had multiple locations! read more

Cheba Hut Toasted Subs - White Widow (Chicken, Bacon & Ranch) and Sensi Kush (BLT) - Sandwiches Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

Possibly the best sandwich I've tried so far. First time coming here and gosh it was so hard to choose which sandwich to get, they have so many options. I decided to get the la canna which is basically their Italian sandwich. I wasn't a big fan of the olives and pickles but overall it was really good. The bread was so good, they have wheat, garlic, and white bread to choose from. Good seating area inside and outside. Fast service and such good food. Will be back again to try different ones! read more

Cheba Hut Toasted Subs - La Canna (Italian) - Sandwiches Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

Cheba Hut is a cheeky themed #sandwichshop that can be found nationwide and has a shop in Eugene, OR, and was our lunch selection this last weekend. I ordered the KGB, which is a roast beef sandwich loaded up with mushrooms, horseradish, and Swiss cheese. I opted for the garlic herb bread bc it's a must. The Shake & House dressing is also a flavor bomb you don't want to skip. What really great is you actually get the 12inch sandwich and eat half now and half later. Beacuse they toast the bread before loading up the toppings, so sogging out isn't a thing. Honestly, the theme might be off-putting to some, but don't miss out on the exquisitely prepared toasted subs. You can order online and grab your subs to go with ease. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Parking is usually easy to come by at this location. If you want a damn sandwich, then this is the place for you. read more

I have friends who swear by this place, but honestly, it just didn't wow me like other sandwich spots I've been to. The vibe is fun and unique, but at the end of the day, it's more of a stoner's sandwich shop than anything remarkable. I gave it a try, and while the food was okay, it didn't stand out. The flavors were mid at best, and nothing really made me want to come back for more. I wouldn't tell anyone not to go, but it's also not the first place I'd recommend if you're looking for a really great sandwich. read more

My wife and I were in Springfield buying a car. After picking up the car we were hungry for some lunch. I found Cheba Hut through Yelp. Thank you fellow Yelpers. There are 3 different sizes (4, 8 , and 12") and 3 different choices ( white, wheat , garlic) toasted (hero, hoggy, sub) bread. My wife had the Griefo. Cream Cheese & Veggie Cream cheese, guacamole, pepper jack, spring mix, tomato, onion, pickle, cucumber, shrooms, black olive, green bell pepper, Shake & House dressing. She had an 8" minus the mushrooms. I had the White Widow . Chicken, Bacon & Ranch Grilled chicken breast, bacon, ranch, shrooms, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Shake & House dressing. I was hungy enough for the 12 " . We both had the garlic bread. Liked the toasted bread. With all the sauces , the toasted bread held up very well. I hate when the bread is limpy when you add the dressing. Very good sandwich. Being near the U of O , you can expect to wait for you sandwich. We went for lunch after 1 pm and there was still a wait. read more

Loved this place. In for weekend to drop daughter off at UO and she said it was a fav. Is see why. Great sandwiches and scene. Line moved fast and good choice of items on menu. I got the Apollo 13. I'll keep it all the way honest, the kool aid isn't sweet enough, the sandwiches are anorexic, and the entire theme is honestly just annoying. I can't hate on the service. Sadly I can hate in literally every other part. read more

One of my favorite sandwich spots in San Diego. Was bummed when they moved from their Pacific Beach location. But I was super excited to find they had this location in Eugene. Cheeba Hut is my favorite sandwich shop in Eugene. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful. Lots of indoor, and some outdoor seating. The sandwiches I usually get are the Sensi Kush (blt with avocado), and White Widow (chicken bacon ranch), but you really can't go wrong with anything on their extensive menu. I also like how the sandwiches come in three sizes so you can order to your own liking. I would definitely recommend coming here for some good food and a taste of local Eugene culture. read more

I love Cheba Hut! Friendly service and REALLY good sandwiches. My go-to is a Kali Mist on garlic herb bread and it never disappoints. They also sell things like Rice Krispie treats, cheesy bread, kool aid, and rotating iced teas which allllways hit the spot. If I'm on my lunch hour, I make sure to order ahead online because, as they point out themselves, this isn't necessarily "fast" food, although my order in the restaurant today did come out lickety-split. All around great sandwiches at the hut! read more

I save five stars for the truly exceptional places, but I wish I could give 4 3/4 stars. The food was excellent, and the service was amazing. I will be back to try other sandwiches soon. read more
