Food was good just make sure you separate fish when get it or will get soggy . Fries were tasty service was great and the decor simple. They do have seating outside which was basic but nice to eat lunch outdoors.

Very generous portions. Always appreciated. Cod breaded nicely. Nice and crisp. Flavorful. One piece was a little salty unfortunately, that's never happened before. But the rest was good. Lots of fries. Tartar or cocktail sauce available as well as ketchup. I love their tartar sauce it's always consistent and flavorful and compliments the fish well. Very filling and good. Timely order to pickup. Fountain drinks also available. My go to for fish in chips. Even preferred over places on the coast. Just that good.

I am used to going to the location on Willamette, but we were near here and had a hankering for some seafood, so we decided to go here. I ordered the shrimp and my son had the cod, both with chips. The shrimp were sweet and cooked perfectly and my son very much enjoyed the cod as he usually does. The staff here were great and nice to see that this location doesn't charge for refills, but I don't know if the other location on Willamette does that now, its been a while since going there. Also inside can get tight, they do have a nice sized outdoor shaded area. The prices have risen quite a bit from when we started going to Newman's, but as a once in a while splurge, it hits the spot!

We stopped for lunch here. I'd say the food is reasonably priced for the quantity and quality. We bought: 1 serve of cod fish (3 small pieces) and chips $10 1 serve of shrimp (6 pieces) and coleslaw $10 I didn't realize they were breaded. I would've preferred batter. My fault, I should've asked rather than assumed. Fries were good. Shrimp was excellent. Fish was okay. Lots of tarter sauce. Good seating indoor and outdoor patio. Good service. You have a choice of coleslaw or fries so that was nice!

I graduated from the Ooooooo in 2007. Just when the Grotto was opening up. I was recently in town and had to come here for the first time. Same taste and freshness as the original on Willamette, better hours (like being open on Sunday) and circumvents the overflow from the other location. Love the fried shrimp, halibut and scallops. And now there's an option for Cajun fries (mind blown)! I loved the original plain fries but dang the Cajun fries were amazing. You'll also never go wrong with the clam chowder. Perfect for those cold, rainy Eugene days.

The scallops and chips are the best. I eat here regularly. If not the scallops the prawn rolls are great.

Everything's great, except for the cole slaw. It's dry and flavorless. They really need to put some vinegar or some kind of dressing in it.

Excellent food. Wait is usually longer than I'd like, but when I'm on this side of the river it's my go to for lunch.

Everyone in line was hungry and excited to get inside and order. When it was my turn, I got the clam chowder and the Captain's Platter with cod as my fish choice. Food came out fairly quick. They call your number and you pick it up at the counter. My clam chowder was to die for. Lots of fresh clams and potatoes. Yum! The fried clams, shrimp and cod looked like it was a little over fried. But I saw other people's plates looking the same so I started to eat mine and absolutely loved it! I'm excited to come back, enjoy a great meal and pick up some smoked fish and some of the take and bake items.

It was difficult for many guests to move between the tables. During our visit, I saw at least three older customers struggling to navigate the narrow aisles, and one woman on crutches had a particularly hard time getting through. Accessibility is definitely an area that could use some attention. The restrooms were also located outside and, unfortunately, were quite dingy and in need of a thorough cleaning. For lunch, we ordered the fish and chips special, crab cakes, and clam chowder. The clam chowder was the biggest disappointment-there was very little seafood and it was mostly potatoes. The crab cakes were also far too salty. I understand that crab cakes are often seasoned aggressively, but these crossed into territory that made them difficult to enjoy. The fish and chips ended up being the saving grace of the meal: crispy, flavorful, and easily the best dish we ordered. We also shared a kombucha, which was refreshing and paired nicely with lunch. Pricing was reasonable, but for me the food quality and execution didn't quite justify the reputation. Parking was also challenging, especially during the busy lunch rush. Overall, it was an average experience with a few bright spots, but there's definitely room for improvement

They have many kinds of smoked, canned, marinated and fresh fish. Chinook Salmon, tuna, black cod, rockfish, and others. I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you pick. I have only tried the crab but it is so fresh and delicious!! The price is good for the quality of the crab. I will definitely have to try more things...but it's so hard to get anything else while crab is in season. Give Brandywine Fisheries a try the next time you go to the Umpqua Valley Farmers Market!!

What I do know they have a dingbat that works for them that couldn't shut up about a dusty car. I do know that they are bad about their digital presence and not very clear about their product description like how many ounces that can of clams has. I do really wish people would give helpful reviews about what we really want to know.
