    Bacon Mac and cheese
    Mariah F.

Alright, after finally finding your new spot- yum. However!! Be aware that they are no longer at the beergarden & hours are different than they say online & here on yelp. I skipped out Wednesday for grabbing some because it said they were closed... come to find out they are open, and have a new address! They are now over by oakshire brewery along with other food trucks. (207 Madison st) I only found out because I found their instagram and saw the website and clicked there for a new address and hours. Anyways, let's get to the food. I was craving their bacon Mac and cheese. Last year I got it and it was $15. This time it was $18.50. Granted you get a HUGE portion. I mean, I got to eat off it (and share) with about 4-5 portions worth. That's pretty darn good. They use quality ingredients and you can tell. Pasta is cooked perfectly. Sauce is smooth and creamy and rich! Bacon is distributed well. At first I felt there wasn't enough, but it's in there. Not too salty which is huge plus because with Mac and bacon you could risk that, but this is done very nicely. I would say this is a special meal I wouldn't be able to afford all the time at a food truck stop, but love the fact that you can share and have leftover for a while. We ate it by itself first 2 days then I threw it on a cheeseburger that next time. Yum. We also ordered the Reuben sandwich with chips- it was good, the bread was a bit overkill and thick / on the harder side so wasn't too appetizing unfortunately. Not sure we would order that one again, but someone else may love it! Overall good meal and glad we found the new spot!

    Bruschetta board

My sisters and I visited beergarden. We planned to nosh our way through the afternoon and started with a bruschetta board from Bounty Meat & Cheese. What a pretty and tasty spread! The tomatoes were perfectly ripe, the mozz balls were plentiful, and the vinaigrette they're all in was zesty and bright. Our only complaint was that some of the grape and cherry tomatoes were whole, so they easily rolled off the bread. A bit later, we ordered the bounty board, which was filled with delicious meats, cheeses, spreads, and other accoutrements. At first, it looked a bit meager, but we ended up getting a to go box because it really was a bounty! They portions of cheese were very generous! As we departed, my sisters and I agreed that if we all lived nearby, we'd frequent much more often.

This place is great. A little spendy after you order a salad, an entree, and a cheese plate...but the food I have had is well worth it! The cheese boards are great....the only critique I have is that the cheese selection is very basic. I wish they would elevate their selection to a more craft artisan or local selection. The French dip, the Mac and cheese, the kale and quinoa salad is awesome! Just do it!

Great food truck. Loved our meat & cheese board. Very food quality meat & cheese. They roast their Pepitas. So yummy. Paired with Pinot Gris and Amber beer. Music was playing from the speakers but not too loud. We will be back. Service as fast and friendly.

Yum! My first time trying Bounty and I was quite pleased--even in spite of the somewhat hefty price tag! The food is clearly gourmet fare, with refined recipes and fresh, high-quality ingredients. I decided on the grilled cheese sandwich, add pesto, with a side of tomato basil bisque, and for dessert I could not resist trying the cast iron skillet chocolate chip cookie. It took a while for my buzzer to sound indicating my order was ready, while hubby, who ordered pulled pork mac and cheese from a different cart, was buzzed for his almost immediately. He was nearly finished eating by the time I received mine but I was a-ok with that since it meant mine was prepared absolutely fresh. As for the food itself, my sandwich was ooey, gooey, and cheesy-licious, with grilled cherry tomatoes, just the right amount of pesto, and buttery, crisp bread. The tomato soup provided a perfect, bright, fruity contrast with a lovely depth of flavor. Potato chips were crispy and salty and a nice little surprise that I did not expect since I had upgraded to soup for my side. And the chocolate chip cookie? Oh my goodness, it was divine, and it came with WHIPPING CREAM for dipping. I did have to use a plastic spoon to pry it bite by bite from the cast iron skillet, which was not non-stick in the least, plus it cost a whopping $8 and was not very big, but I would order it again and again. (And I did share the cookie with hubby in case you were wondering...) All in all, my experience was worth the nearly $30 I spent for my lunch. A tasty treat indeed!

I loved the idea of getting a cheese board from a food cart. I was so please with the presentation! This place sure is trendy. I do wish that with the prices came a little more portions. Nonetheless the quality was great. The service was friendly. The wait wasn't too long, but definitely longer than I thought it would be for a cheese board. I'll be back to try more!

Meat, cheese and olives all on one plate? YES PLEASE I love a great platter of some of my favorite things. Tried this at the beergarden here and was soooo soooo good. I really liked the vibe of the place, food was great & the staff was super nice/helpful. Will definitely be going back to this place again.

Such a great addition to Beergarden! Hands down the best macaroni and cheese I've ever had. Ordered the garlic and shallot. Also had tomato basil soup, beer brat, and bread and oil.

I ordered their Beer Brat mac and Cheese, and I must say I really enjoyed it. The food was good and was served promptly, but... the prices are not even remotely reasonable. For $13 I got a tiny bowl of Mac and Cheese with no sides. I have attached a picture for reference.

It's my sister's favorite butcher shop though, and when I'm going to make a pot roast I want to use the best meat, so we stopped by here. The staff was friendly and helpful. ETA: Today when I started to make my pot roast, imagine my surprise when I found that I had two chuck steaks... not really super conducive to pot roast, and a little annoying since I asked for chuck roast. I've been to other butchers and asked for chuck roast and never been given bone-in chuck steak. This isn't something I could use because it wouldn't fit into the pot and I couldn't cut it with the bone in, so I had to go buy another $40 of meat at Albertson's. Not sure that I'll be returning to Long's. Hope my sister can use the meat so it won't be a total waste of the $30 I spent here.

We've been buying products from Matthew for years now, but he only just officially incorporated his business. He's a fully licensed hunter and mushroom gatherer/seller who spends most of his free time going out into the woods in the Eugene/Cascades area to gather and hunt his own wild foods. We reap the benefits of his hard work, at prices that are very comparable to what you would find at the store/market. (Did you know most of the mushrooms at the Farmer's Market are actually farmed, not gathered?) He does everything he can to keep his prices as low as possible. We bought some chanterelles today at $10.50 a pound, and he delivered them to our door. For comparison, I noticed they were $16 today at Market of Choice, and those are farmed, not harvested fresh from the woods around Eugene. he's coming back tomorrow with porcini! We've bought a wide variety of stuff from Matthew, but we especially love the chanterelles. If he has time, he delivers them to our door too, often on the same day he found them. Unless you're gathering chanterelles in your won backyard, it doesn't get more fresh or local than that. His selections are obviously limited to the season, and to what he was able to find/hunt, but he posts what he found on their Facebook page, so you can easily see what's freshly available. That's the easiest way to get in touch with him too (at least for us, since we don't like to call people on the phone) And Matthew's extremely meticulous about cleaning his products too, so you'll get perfect mushrooms ready to go straight into your pan!
