    #12- French Dip Hero
    Krista G.

Used to love this place. Went tonight and the sandwich was horrible and wrong. Ordered a French dip with horseradish mayo. One on side they put butter and the other was just mayo,l and meat was so oily, yuck!! So disappointed. Hope it turns around.

    Wheres the veggies?

More bread than substance Salad sub was missing a lot .. Paid $ 9.65 for this sandwich it was poorly made . Plus found pepporicini stem in my sandwich.. Why? ALL the veggies on the sandwich looked like some one just sprinkled some lettuce , on sliver of bell pepper, 2 skinny slices of avocado. I barely had a tomato on the sandwich.. What im trying to say is 3x ive been duped. NO more.. especially after paying $9.65 for this sandwich Big Town you let me down. Remake of sandwich was way better ...

I used to love their sandwiches but recently they've really gone down hill. Hardly any filling in the sandwiches I ordered.

The chef, or as he should be called "maestro" puts out some of the most tasty dishes in Springfield. His biscuits and gravy are perfection, and he makes a killer monte cristo. As for lunch, my go to is the smoked meatloaf sandwich, YUM! I am also partial to the italian sandwich as well as the pastrami. Also check out his soups, made with the same care and perfection as the rest of the menu. Make sure you leave room for dessert as this is a bakery. If you are full then get something to go, you will thank yourself later. They also do a high tea twice a month, call ahead for dates and reservations, a great treat for those special occasions. All in all Amore is a must if you are headed to the Springfield area. And once you love it as much as I do, spread the word!

The lasagne was some of the best he's ever had, and my chicken salad croissant was fresh and delicious. The tomato cheese bisque was delicious, and had just a little "kick", which I loved! Of course, we couldn't leave without splitting a cannoli. Like everything else, it was excellent. We were so happy to have found this great spot, and would definitely stop again if we are in the area.

Yet she gave the machine I was playing on to one of her she said regulars because she wanted it not checking to see if i still was playing on it which I was. When I said wait im still on that machine she barked at me and said I cant have them all which doesn't make sense seeing I was on the same machine for almost 2 hours. She needs to go work at Walmart or Dari Mart where she can be as rude as she wants but doesn't have it in her to be able to manage people and their ability to bet hard earned money. Side note I played a different machine and lost the money I had made on my original machine. She has no respect and needs to be let go. As long as she is working I urge everyone to go somewhere else or the same thing can and will happen to you.

My daughter had a doctor appointment and it was lunch time when all was done. While standing in…read morethe parking lot I looked around and noticed a building with bright yellow writing that said, "Lucky Lizard". So we went to see what it was all about. Upon entering the place I noticed a few signs mentioning they had video poker. That instantly made my gut wrench giving me a flash back of Jasper's "deli" off delta.....We entered and they did have poker machines.....but maybe only 5 and they were in a small confined area completely away from the food. The inside was clean and seating looked rather limited. All of their sandwiches were 5.95 or under. Had a selection of about 8 sandys or you could get a bowl of teriyaki chicken for about $6 too. I went with the Tri-Tip sandwich being I love tri-tip!! My wife got a turkey avocado cranberry that was served on a croissant. We got our daughter a little bit of Ambrosia salad to snack on. Daughter loved dipping her pickle in the salad and eating it....She's watched daddy eat too many steak fries at Red Robin I guess! Ok.....So I guess I'll say it even though I don't want to being the guy working behind the counter was VERY friendly, VERY nice, VERY helpful.....That tri-tip sandwich was bunk. Infact I started the review with 3 stars due to great customer service, but that sandwich couldn't keep that 3rd star up. I would give them 5 stars on cleanliness and customer service, but as for the food? ahhh i'm sorry. It's a 1 star sandwich honestly. The tri tip didn't have any great flavor to it what so ever. It reminded me of a sub-par roast beef deli meat. The gentleman working asked if it was our first time in there and we said yes, so he gave us a generous sample of their teriyaki chicken. It was ok....VERY VERY LEAN meat. Which was really nice. I didn't see one piece that had fat in it. Same for my wife's sample. He gave us a sweet chili sauce to put on it which did add a good taste to it. So I hate to kick down only 2 stars after great service and a nice sample of chicken.......But really, when it comes to how the sandwiches tasted neither of us were even close to happy with it. We didn't have the heart to tell the guy we didn't like them. And it could get spendy quickly being all side items are a la carte. 3 bucks for the salads, 1.50 for the chips, dont know the cost of drinks being we got complimentary water.

Seasoned Chicken breasts, deep fried breaded mozzarella, shakes, Mac and Cheese and French Fries, and some other odd, sides like kal-slaw. Ordering, I pick the lowest hot. I picked hot. And I like hot. So I picked hot. I had some difficulty with it. It was really very hot. Yet, there are three more levels, beyond that, which I can't imagine anyone eating. Mild was a bit, as my wife's mild was a bit too much for her, also too hot. Portions were good. We took home 1/2. For another meal. It is called Dave's Hot Chicken. So they are not lying. I give it , 5 stars, because it is exactly what it is saying it is. Start out with the mild. Low scale. Cause the chicken is cooked very well and tender. And then go from there, to find your level of Hot. :)

We were greeted immediately and the cashier who took our order was friendly and kind. No complaints there. Restaurant looks decently clean. Although tables needed a good wiping. No trash or anything, but they looked kinda grimy in the sunlight. We elected to eat outside because those tables were cleaner. I ordered the number 1, and I think my husband ordered the 3. Menu seems super small, so very limited choices. My husband liked his. My chicken was super greasy, room temperature (it was cooked fine, but had clearly been sitting and waiting for me to order it) and nowhere near crispy. Fries were decent, but they're frozen crinkle fries. Food comes with plain white bread that wasn't toasted, and pickles. My biggest problem is the severe lack of texture. The chicken wasn't crispy, fries soft, and plain un-toasted white bread. It tasted okay, but one tender in and I had palate fatigue and simply couldn't continue eating. I let my husband finish mine, and I walked away hungry. There was nothing egregiously wrong with the experience. It just isn't one I care to repeat. There are far better local chicken restaurants in town that keep me coming back. There is nothing to bring me back here. I'm glad I tried it to review it. But that's it.
