Twice, I've been there and they were out of avocados. Once, I sat there for 15 minutes, waiting for my order when they had just set it up on the counter and never called my name. Once, I had a 3" slice of avocado peel with the market stamp on it IN my sandwich!!!! To go bagels are very hard. Every time I go there, and after I am cashed out, the Employee walks away without giving me my receipt so I have to stay standing there for several minutes to wait for him to return in order to get it. Not great Customer Service. If they were downtown Eugene, I'd probably give them one more try but since they're way out on W. 11th, I will not go back. I hate leaving bad reviews, but Bagel Sphere was truly disappointing. The venue looks like a NYC loft building, with high ceilings and beams. It lacked a vibe, atmosphere, and tables. The artwork was strange too. Our food was really disappointing and also took an extremely long time to be ready, despite us being the only customers. Not a bad spot to grab a quick breakfast. I am avoiding dairy nowadays so I got a sesame bagel with avocado and lox. Delish! They didn't skimp on the toppings. The little one and the hubby got an everything bagel with plain cream cheese. They did not skimp on the cream cheese either. I actually scraped a bit off for the little one because there was so much. You order at the counter and most people seem to take it to go. There are a few places to sit inside but we opted to sit outside since it was actually warm and dry for a bit that morning. There is a rather plain patio with chairs that weren't cleaned off but we found the cleanest ones and it was ok. My guess is that they didn't expect the weather to cooperate that day (which it was just a short period of dry skies). The food took a really long time to come out, and we went at a not so busy time and got simple items that shouldn't have taken a while to make. The food is pretty sad with little flavor and not much ingredients on each bagel. The coffee is weak and tasteless. There are three wobbly tables with little ambiance. The staff were talking in the back saying, "if they don't like the food, just don't come back! " That's exactly what we intend to do, and I recommend you do the same. read more

I grab an open face "PEARL" every couple of weeks. The PEARL is the open face smoked salmon with red onions, tomatoes, capers, and plain cream cheese. IT is in my eyes, the perfect bagel sandwich. My GF was with me and she got the biscuit (who orders a biscuit at a Bagel shop) but damn if that isn't one of the best biscuits I've ever had. The pesto is much better as the strong pesto flavor can cut through all the cheese. It's very similar however with the lack of meat and we couldn't taste any turkey. Yummy iced white chocolate mocha & toasted jalapeño cheddar bagel sandwich with sausage, egg, & cream cheese. Such a filling breakfast. Always my go to when I want something a bit more filling than just a toasted bagel. The coffee isn't sweet, and has a richer coffee flavor (for me personally, but still really yummy.) mine had very little ice so it wasn't very cold, but I appreciate that it's not watered down or gypped on the amount of coffee for ice. Always a good bagel stop. Local business always nice to support. BEWARE of the witch working at the cashier today, it's Halloween today. She was very unfriendly when I was trying to order. I had to laugh at her rude remarks to keep it light. The customer after me was also a victim of her degrading remarks and he was clearly just confused about what he wanted to order. After waiting 5+ minutes for my order she yells out over the other customers waiting in line that she DROPPED one of my sandwiches and would have to remake it, but it would take a while longer as it has to triple melt (it was a Rueben melt). I try to respond, but she turns around, so I have to approach the cashier and explain to her that I would need a refund on that Rueben melt so that I could be back on the road. She claims she isn't sure if it refunded back to my card but to double check in a day and that I could always call of it doesn't refund. I thank her and even compliment her on her beautiful Halloween Witch leg earrings. She hands me the other sandwich and I leave with one less sandwich than anticipated. However, their food is quite good. I got The Bachelor, and it has a delicious blend of sweetness with the fig jam and the savory goat cheese. Their coffee is pretty good, it was originally too sweet, but the worker went ahead and gave me an extra shop of espresso to balance it out! I got an oat milk latte with cinnamon and vanilla syrup. 5 star for the food and drink... I ordered a Rueben, brownie, and chai tea. All super good and ready quickly. Something I was very disappointed about though was I ordered online because I feel like that makes things easier for the restaurant vs calling it in, but the price was significantly more online. In store the Reuben was $11.50, online it was $15. The brownie and chai tea were also less in store (can't remember exact pricing.) I think there should be some sort of disclaimer stating this because I would have most definitely just called in the order instead if I would have known. read more

Long wait indoors, in close quarters, with quite a few other unfortunate souls. Got a bagel with salmon and cream cheese. Also a coffee. Took about 20 minutes. Fairly long wait, but about 4 or 5 people in front of me on a Saturday morning. They wont call out your order outside so you're forced to wait in their cramped lobby. The bagel itself was was pretty mediocre, I ate it at a table in the kind-of-alley they've got setup adjacent to the store. The salmon had quite a bit of that greyish fat on it, that I'm not so much of a fan of in such great supply. My total was about 15 bucks. A couple bites into my bagel, an aggressive yellow jacket showed up and started at me for longer than I'd like. I'm deathly allergic to stinging insects and ended up just walking away from my table for a bit at which point the tiny satan followed me out. I have no proof that the yellow jacket was not kept as a pet or mascot for this awful cafe, but I do know for certain that Bagel Sphere is accomplice to murder (attempted). The coffee was okay. Came out hard with no chew. Cream cheese was alright but needed more chives and flavor.
