I went here once or twice in 2021 and then haven't been back since because I moved across town. I went back today after avoiding it while in the area because of all the terrible reviews. I needed breakfast quick and decided to give them a chance and I'm glad I did. I walked in and was able to place my order immediately. I got an egg sandwich on a plain bagel and a plain on plain, both toasted. The girl taking my order was nice and friendly. I sat to wait for my food, and within about 10 minutes it was ready. I took it to-go since I had somewhere to be and when I got into it I was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty good! It's far from the best bagel or sandwich I've ever had but it hit the spot on a busy morning. My order was correct, hot, and came out quickly. The egg wasn't fresh, it was that kind of fluffy fake feeling egg that McDonald's has, but it was fine. The people working here were all friendly and nice. I didn't have any issues with attitude or anything lol other people complain about. I went around 9am on a Sunday and it was busy, but everyone was fine. Maybe the people leaving bad reviews are the problem The restaurant was fairly clean but could have been cleaner. There was plenty of seating and parking. I didn't use the bathroom so I can't speak to its cleanliness. Overall I had a good experience here and will be back. Don't listen to the bad reviews, the people here are good! read more

This place is amazing! The girls working there were wonderful and very nice. I felt bad that there was a man who was waiting for his order yell at the girls for taking so long. Everyone one can clearly see how the girls were hustling and not standing around. They apologized for the wait to that man and I felt they handled it very well. Now for the bagels. I ordered the everything bagel with the lox spread. I have NEVER gotten a bagel anywhere that was so generous with their cream cheese! I was absolutely in heaven! 01/24/2026 Daily Bagel impressed me from the first minute. I stopped in for an egg and cheese bagel with orange juice and coffee, and everything was spot on. The bagel itself was fresh, warm, and seasoned perfectly, the egg cooked just right, and the whole thing put together with care rather than rushed assembly. The coffee was solid and the orange juice was fresh and bright, making the whole breakfast feel complete rather than disposable. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were genuinely kind, upbeat, and attentive without being intrusive. While I was sitting and eating, I heard multiple customers independently praise the food, and every time the staff lit up with pride. When I offered them a small gift on my way out (micro puzzles I had on me), they received them with warmth and surprise rather than obligation. Before leaving, I told them how much I enjoyed my breakfast and they reacted with the same sincerity I heard throughout my visit. It is rare to see a kitchen and front-counter team that takes such obvious pride in their work and in the experience they are creating for customers. Daily Bagel is executing at a very high level in both food quality and service. They are doing something right, and it shows. I rarely write reviews, but this Mother's Day. The Daily Bagel has been a beloved tradition for me since the early 2000s. My daughter surprised me this year by agreeing to make the long drive so I could enjoy my favorite bagel as a Mother's Day treat before we both had to work. I was so excited. What followed was deeply disappointing. The restaurant was full of waiting customers, with more than five staff members on the floor and still no sense of order or urgency. We waited over 40 minutes, watching frustrated customers walk out one by one. When our order was finally called -- it was wrong. After pointing it out, we received food that was not fully cooked and cold. And rather than an apology, we were met with an unpleasant attitude from the staff. This was my Mother's Day. A small, simple joy -- and it was completely let down. For a place I've cherished for over 20 years, this was a very disappointing visit. My partner doesn't like going in there because they are always very rude to him. The lines always take too long even when there's only 3 people in line. If I order online I always end up having to wait for my order 10+ minutes anyway. Lovely, convenient little spot. I am not a New Yorker so cannot speak definitively on what a good bagel is but so a so cal guy passing through, mine was super tasty. Cream cheese was also tasty. The place was busy when I came but the food and drink arrived in a normal amount of time. I read some of the other reviews and as always there a handful of negative comments. Ignore them. I used to love The Daily Bagel when they were in downtown but now I'm not so sure. The girl working the cash register didn't really acknowledge me when I came in and wasn't super freiendly. I felt like anything I asked for was an inconvenience to her. I also got a coffee and the barista with the tattoos was very nice though! I got a bagel with lox which tasted really good but that lox was really lacking. While I was getting my coffee, my bagel was set on the counter, ready to be picked up but I didn't hear the announcement for what it was. I asked the girl making the bagel what it was and she simply said she gave me a nervous look and said she didn't know and went back to making food until someone else had to tell me. All in all, I think that if their customer service was better, I would have had a little more grace but it was average-level busy and there didn't really seem to be an excuse for such poor service. read more

No customers in line, I still had to find the idle employee hiding behind the tall display. Three words said to me the whole time, "hello" after I said hello, and yup twice while she was getting my bagels. It was clear she was distracted or dislikes her job. Everyone needs a go-to bagel shop. I have been going to the Daily Bagel for years. And while the service may have been better in the past, the quality of their Bagels is still top tier. The everything bagel as a bit extra with some parsley added. And the cheddar cheese bagel always has plenty of cheese. They have perfectly chewy Bagels that toast up well. They give a great amount of cream cheese. They also have delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches. The location in Village Plaza is easy to get to. The shared parking lot is a bit small and often full. The restaurant space itself has plenty of seating to dine in as well as an outside area when the weather is nice. read more

This was our first and probably only time here, based on the way things went today. We first went to the website to look at the menu which was less than helpful. Since that didn't answer our questions, we tried calling. We called 4 times and no one could be bothered to answer. Not a good start, but we didn't want to go to Bagelsphere because of the big football game in town. We took with us dairy free cream cheese and dairy free coffee creamer due to allergies. When there, we ordered toasted sesame bagels (one was burnt) and two plain bagels plus two house coffees. I was disappointed that the sesames on the bagels were only on top. Everyone else coats the whole bagel. That said, they tasted fine and the coffee was good. The jazz music was too loud and obnoxious, and the people working there were rude and quite short. We were glad we took the cream cheese and creamer. We called to find out if they had dairy free options, because their online menu was lacking in information. Once there, we found out they had soy milk for coffee, but it's not the same as soy creamer. At 1:00, all of a sudden the lights went out. No warning. No heads up from the people working there that they were soon closing. No hours posted on the door. No hours posted on the website. Talk about fucking rude!! How hard is it to say "we're closing in five minutes"? No. Just go in the back room and turn off the lights like a scared little bitch. This was a man working here. We're not happy obviously about that kind of communication and we won't be coming back. There are better options in town. read more

I order the same exact sandwich every single time I'm in here and there's no consistency with the ingredients they put on it. Sometimes it has olives, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it has avocado spread, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it has lettuce, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it has mushrooms, sometimes it doesn't. It's a 50/50 gamble whether they actually toast the bagel or not, regardless if you asked for it that way. Their sandwiches also used to come with bagel chips and I really enjoyed those. Now I'm paying $8.50 for a very mediocre bagel sandwich, $9.50 if I also want a bag of chips. Things I do like are their current staff, their iced tea, and their rewards program. It's a bummer because this place is within walking distance from my place of work and would be awesomely convenient if their food was better. read more

Unbelievably rude cashier had the deadpan crudeness of a badly written comic book character, and literally threw a bag of bagels at me when I asked about my order (after 17 minutes). From the get-go she acted as if it was the most irritating thing on Earth to take my order, despite my warm (masked) hello when stepping up to the counter. During a pandemic it's important to have patience with service people - absolutely. But when you ask for six bagels in a bag, and it takes damn near 20 minutes for 3 employees on a slow morning to accomplish the task, you know something is wrong. 2 words: STALE BAGELS. I only put 2 stars because the bagels are good ONLY when they're fresh and made by the right person. I've been coming here for 7 years, since high school, and the service/quality has gotten worse and worse with time. I live nearby, so sometimes I come here as early as 7am. Today I came at 7:30am. I got 3 bagels, there was no orders being made or a line when I walked in to order (it wasn't busy). First of all, I've never receive a warm welcome here. Employees are quiet and barley glance at you when you say thank you. Being treated this way first thing in the morning really leaves a bad taste in your mouth for the rest of the day. Secondly, I asked for no onions on one bagel melt, and no tomatoes on the other. Both bagels had no onions. Oh and the worst part? The bagels were STALE and BARLEY toasted. At 7:30am!! Not only that, but it looked AND tasted like the employee literally just threw it all in the container. My 16 year old sister ate her bagel in her own room and came out and complained about the sloppiness and staleness without me even consulting her. I asked for lox on each side of one bagel and they didn't even TRY to separate the lox so that it was evenly distributed. Just a big blob of lox right in the middle of my bagel. The worst part about this all was the stale bagels. All 3 bagels (2 cheddar, 1 everything bagel)That's just unacceptable. My mouth hurt from chewing after eating these. I don't know when they decide to give their customers day old bagels (maybe in the mornings, maybe if you don't tip enough or they just aren't in the mood for "work" today) but make sure you CHECK YOUR ORDERS before you leave this place! read more

This place made me very confused. I ordered a Lox & Bagel. I didn't really think it was that complicated ... and according to like, kinda everywhere, a Lox Bagel usually consist of, "Slice Bagel: Cut open bagel and spread each half generously with cream cheese. Add Toppings: Place thin slices of smoked salmon on top, then a few slices of red onion, capers, and a sprinkle of fresh dill." When my order came, it was a Bagel with some sort of spread on it with pieces of what looked like artificial crab meat. No Lox. No cream cheese. No onions. No capers. I didn't realize what it was until I left ... had I known I probably would not have taken it. As far as atmosphere impressions go, the place had a very Dairy Queen vibe about it. Very generic, no authenticity. The staff was nice ... well not really nice nice, but efficient nice .... Which would have been ok if I could have gotten a LOX & BAGEL. I stopped into the daily bagel recently. I was there before it opened. Waited outside until 7am. Then just walked in. I wasn't greeted by the girls working behind the counter, but I greeted them and they were friendly. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a latte. Both were really good! The everything bagel was decent...not a New York style bagel, but had a little chew. Had a good amount of seeds. I got sausage, egg and cheese. The only gripe I have is that it was somewhat dry. Needed a spread of butter, or cream cheese. But I will just ask next time :) The late was ok. They only had soy milk as an alternative. That was a bummer. But the latte was still tasty!
