Tried Cozmic Charlie's today. Got the traditional poutine, grilled cheese with bacon, and tomato soup. The soup was super flavorful. It tasted like it might have roasted red pepper in it. The poutine was ok. I felt it should have come with double the amount of fries for the amount of gravy with came with as well as the price. The light gravy was flavorful though. The grilled cheese had a nice crust on the outside. I think I would have preferred more cheese inside than on the outside, but dipped in the soup it was a great bite! This is inside the beergarden. There is a sign on the food truck that says that you will have better service if you order through the app. I decided I'd rather order in person cause I wanted to make sure that my fries were extra crispy. The guy seemed possibly a bit annoyed that I didn't just use the app. I think customers are super important and felt a little slighted by that. They warned me by posting that sign, just my opinion though. The food truck itself has fun decor and has a little table with the condiments out front. Will be back to try other stuff for sure

Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious. The pulled pork sandwich with cheese was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and satisfying. The Cubano was spot on, crispy, savory, and packed with amazing flavor. We also had the tomato soup and the beer cheese soup, and both were fantastic. The beer cheese soup was truly next level and easily a 10 out of 10. Every bite was amazing and we will definitely be back. The person who was cooking our food was really nice and came out trying to find us because our beeper didn't go off. Super nice of them to find us in beer garden, great service incredible food! The beer cheese soup had so much flavor

BEST Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese since I lived in Georgia. Awesome portion sizes, everything tastes fresh and delicious. The pork is so tender and juicy the bbq sauce is tangy/ sweet, the proportion to Mac and toppings is so excellent. Meat in every bite. Plus who doesn't love the Beer garden, it's 44 outside and 74 in the bubble.highly reccomend.

I had the chance to finally try Cozmic Charlie's today, and I'm so glad I did! I got the cheese curds, Jerry's ham and Swiss with tomato soup, and a lavender lemonade. The service was friendly and fast, and the menu is interesting. They don't have a ton of different types of items, but they have several poutine and grilled cheese options that are interesting and lots of toppings to customize too! The food truck is in a pod with other options, and is what you'd expect from a food cart. They are moving in October, but not too far from where they are now. As for the food, overall it was excellent. The tomato soup was not my favorite, but it wasn't bad. I did use it as a dip for the cheese curds, which was good. I would've liked a marinara or pizza sauce, but the soup worked fine. The cheese curds were the best I've ever had. They were light, fried perfectly, and the batter was crispy without being too much. The sandwich was huge and tasty. I didn't get the fig jam (not a fan of sweet with cheese, but I can see how it would work well with the sandwich.it was great without though!). The lavender lemonade also was made perfectly. A good balance of sweet, tart, and floral. No soapy taste which can happen with lavender items. Another best I've ever had item. I have a smaller appetite these days, and while I appreciate a good portion size for the price, I can't ever finish a meal so being able to reheat is super important to me. I thought this would reheat terribly, especially the cheese curds. Fried food never reheats well. I am so happy to say that the curds and the sandwich not be ere just as delicious and amazing reheated as they were fresh. I am so impressed about that! The cheese curds lost their crunch, but the texture of the breading and the taste was still fantastic, and the sandwich was not soggy or gross from a quick reheat. Check them out before they move, and again when they move! I'm looking forward to trying more from them!

Easy to find with free parking available inside the lot, Cozmic Charlie's is a good choice for elevated versions of food such as poutine, grilled cheese and one of my favorites, the cheesesteak sandwich. There is plenty of outdoor covered seating available so you can relax, eat here, enjoy some music.. Eric and Kelly greet you with a smile and are very easy going. I had the Cassady's Cheesesteak with fries. Now THAT is a cheesesteak. The meat was very tender. The provolone melted well with sautéed onions and the al dente bell peppers. The pub roll is the perfect base for these ingredients and makes for one of the best cheesesteaks I've had in a while. The fries are regular size and perfect for dipping in their fry sauce. The Cherry lemonade was cool and refreshing, not to tart at all, just tart enough. My favorite however is the Thai iced tea. It has a creamy texture and is not too sweet. This food court area is actually a very nice environment and the comfort food served by Cozmic Charlie's is the perfect reason to come hang out.

I got food from this spot for the first time today and it was so good! It took about 10 minutes to be ready and it was hot and fresh when I got it. I got the chicken and bacon mac and cheese and it was delicious. The chicken was juicy and crispy and the bacon was crispy, not fatty or soft, just the way I like it. The cheese sauce was really smooth and creamy and it wasn't too salty like other mac sauces in town have been. The stall is tucked away in the back so you can't see it from the main area but if you walk back there you can see it pretty easy. It's definitely worth the walk!

Honestly I would probably rank the food 4 but the lady running the front was just in a bad mood and rude to my wife. They were fairly busy and we were ok with that but she seemed upset we were even there and just set the tone for the entire experience. Sandwich itself tasted good, especially liked the cheese fried on the bread and fries were pretty mediocre but the fry sauce helped a lot and made them pretty tasty! Dill pickle pasta salad is the star side here -- very good. Dire wolf poutine was pretty average, I'd probably lean for something else next time. Chicken needed maybe a drizzle of extra gravy on top. Mac and cheese had such great texture but pretty bland, little extra salt would have made it pop. All in all -- good food, terrible human interaction. Would not return.

Best cheese curds I've had in 30 years in Oregon. Owners hail from close to where I grew up in north central WI, and get their curds from there. It shows. These are the greasy gloppy batter-soaked mess found elsewhere around town - these are dry dusted, hot fried and perfect! A shame to put anything on these beauties. . . Let the cheese do the talking! Also had an absolutely monstrous and perfect muffaletta. The muffaletta bun was superb - sesame-coated like it should be, light and yeasty. The fillings were classic - mortadella, cheese, giardiniera. This behemoth easily fed three of us after I got it home and sliced up. Well worth the money and a "must try" at the Beergarden.

Cozmic Charlie's has landed in Eugene, and just in time! Their hearty poutines, grilled cheese sandwiches and fried cheese curds are the perfect comfort food for the cold & rainy season. I got their "Dire Wolf" poutine ($14) which features fries, cheese curds, gravy, chicken tenders, bacon and green onions. Are you drooling yet?? It was absolutely fantastic, with tons of quality chicken and beautifully arranged. And the best part? The little squeaky sound as I was chewing the cheese curds, which is a mark of freshness. It's a large amount of food that is best shared with a few people. But if not, it's great out of the fridge the next day. As a fan of capreses, I tried their Caprese sandwich ($14) which comes with fries or tomato soup. Once again, this was a winner. All the caprese ingredients and flavors were there. It was thoughtfully constructed and easy to eat without making a mess. The bread was nice and crispy. The soup was really good too, a little smokey, tangy, and spicy, a good pairing to the sandwich. Also a good amount of food for the price. For the lactose intolerant, they have a fancy peanut butter & jelly sandwich that has 3 berry preserves served on grilled cinnamon bread for just five bucks. I am psyched to try out their other poutines and sandwiches. The people working are very nice and care about quality food. You can also order online. Definitely check this place out!

Cozmic Charlie's Cheeze Shack - Ham & Cheese with fig jam goodness
    Kim R.

We got the Ham & Swiss with fries. Hands down the best H&S (and maybe best grilled cheese) we've ever eaten. Just the right ratio of meat to cheese to bread and toasted up to crunchy/gooey perfection. The real star though, and in my opinion the reason why this sandwich was irresistible, was the inclusion of the fig jam. Yuuuummm. Truthfully the fries were just okay...but the sandwich deserves 5 stars alllll by itself.

New location is super convenient. Don't miss the new Italian beef grilled cheese. Tons of meat, delicious, super filling. Buying local from good people like this is +1 karma. Quick service. Great ambiance in this food cart pod. Recommend.

Had to go back for the beer cheese soup and tried a new sandwich. Combo of a BLT and grilled cheese - with avocado. The perfect sandwich- the balance of flavors worked so well- fresh and quality ingredients made this Delicious! They are friendly and fun. It was a lovely sunny day. Covered Outside seating is comfortable.

This is one of my favorite mobile kitchens. Fun people, cool vibes, delicious food! I stopped and had the cheesesteak which had all of the things you'd expect good beef, onions, peppers, provolone, sub roll Enough said. Nope not so fast this day it includes some house made beer cheese soup! It was like the French dip of cheesesteaks and it was insane. The food pod is growing go check it out. Only reason it's not 5 stars is I have a hard time with5 @food carts without seated indoor/ outdoor service etc...

Honestly, thank god for authentic Chinese food…read more This is the best place you go to in Eugene for delicious handmade dumplings and noodles. Came in mid-afternoon on the weekend and the place was busy. We were seated immediately and received our food ~10 mins after ordering. We ordered the spicy and sour beef noodle soup, veggie dumplings, and scallion pancakes. There is an option to adjust the spice and numbing levels to your dishes. The food came out steaming. The veggie dumplings were flavorful and the wrapping was just thick enough to make 10-dumplings a hearty meal. The taste profile is similar to what you'd find in Northern China, and there is chili oil/vinegar/soy sauce at the table for you to make your own sauce. Scallion pancakes were deep-fried and on the thin side. They were more oily than the homemade ones I'm used to, but the crunch and flavor on them were nice. The sour and spicy beef noodle soup (opted spicy and numbing) was yummy. You can tell the noodles were handmade and they had a good bite to them. The beef was tender, the bok choy was a nice refreshing balance to the bold flavors of the dish, and the tea egg was a nice addition. The soup was quite sodium-heavy and oily, but the flavor was quite authentic and still yummy with the numbing spice kicking in towards the end. The interior is clean and has a viewing window at the front where you can see dumplings being made in real time.

I stopped in for a drink while my to go order was being made and had a Tiger Bomb, a beer with a shot of soju mixed in. The drink was great, and the service was incredibly hospitable. Even though I was just waiting on a to go order, they offered me complimentary banchan, little bites of cabbage, carrots, and cucumber, to snack on while I drank and waited. That was much more hospitality than I expected from simply picking up food. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. The portions are generous, everything tasted fresh, and the food felt genuinely high quality. The Korean fried chicken is really, really good. I got the Volcano sauce, and it is legitimately hot. Not restaurant spicy. Actually spicy. I eat the spiciest of the spicy food, and this was a good 8 out of 10 for me, which is probably a 15 out of 10 for most people. It has serious heat, but plenty of flavor underneath it. The dry rub chicken balanced it perfectly, with a tangy, acidic, savory flavor that cut through the richness and paired really well with the Volcano sauce. Crispy chicken, acid, spice, and a cold beer is a pretty hard combination to beat. I also got the kimbap with spicy pork, and that was amazing too. The rice and fillings tasted really fresh, the pork had a great savory sweetness and heat, and the vegetables added freshness and texture. Every bite had a little bit of everything. Between the food, Tiger Bomb, complimentary banchan, and service, I was already thinking I had found a new place I really liked. Then I got home. The only real downside was unfortunately the tteokbokki, which is ironic because that was the entire reason I found Tiger Mama. It was literally the term I typed into Yelp that led me there. And this is where the review gets complicated. Flavor wise, it was amazing. The sauce was sweet, tangy, savory, and a little spicy, with that deep gochujang flavor you want from tteokbokki. The fish cakes were tender, plentiful, and full of flavor. There were glass noodles, mandu, and half a hard boiled egg, giving it a lot of different textures. It felt like a more elaborate, modern take on the classic Korean dish. The rice cakes themselves were fantastic. Great size, wonderfully tender and chewy, and soaked in that delicious sauce. Honestly, the tteok I did receive might be the best I have had while dining out. My problem was that I received three of them. Three individual rice cakes. In an $18 order of tteokbokki. That was genuinely disappointing. Tteokbokki was why I came here. It was what I searched for and what drew me in. The menu picture showed plentiful, delicious little rice pillows sitting in sauce, which was exactly what I had been craving. Instead, I got a large serving of glass noodles, fish cakes, mandu, sauce, egg, and three rice cakes in a dish named after the rice cakes. If this had been the only thing I ordered, I could easily see myself leaving a sour one star review and never going back. But that would not represent the experience I had. Everything else was too good. As someone who loves Korean cuisine, both cooking it at home and eating it out, I can tell there is a lot of care put into this food. Even the tteokbokki was excellent in every respect except the rice cake quantity. The sauce was perfect, the fish cakes were great, the mandu was a nice surprise, and the sweet, spicy, tangy, savory flavors worked ridiculously well together. It also pairs really well with a beer. Or six. Unfortunately, I live too far away to have noticed until I got home, and they were already closed. I'll call tomorrow, and based on the service I received, I'm confident they'll make it right. Three rice cakes for $18 was genuinely disappointing, but I'm not going to let what seems like one portioning mistake outweigh an otherwise excellent experience. The food, atmosphere, hospitality, and care put into everything were too good. Tiger Mama is a great addition to the Whit, and I'll absolutely be back. Especially for more tteokbokki. Hopefully next time, more than three.
