Had to update, they've been closed for a bit and finally opened back up this week? Anyway, my boyfriend and I got chicken yesterday, however we completely forgot neither $12-$13 item comes with fries! Let me give you a rundown of the menu, $12.75 for the 3 tenders, usually jumbo but yesterday they definitely weren't- and the sandwich is $13.50. The tenders are usually huge but yesterday they were regular size I guess. The fries are $5 each, and pretty much any side starts at $5 here. Honestly the food yesterday was kinda mediocre, the chicken wasn't breaded well and was falling off the chicken, which tasted bland without the breading and seasoning, the bread it comes with was super soggy, and the last piece of bread anyway lol. The sandwich was really disapponting, the chicken wasn't seasoned well at all. Each food item only came with literally 1 pickle which was odd. Also we were waiting for the food and I don't know if he ever even called our name but when my bf went to check on it, it had already been done and sitting there? Obviously we don't need to be chased down but if you're not busy and we're literally behind the stand, you could at least try to mention something? We both thought that was weird too, the service just kinda seemed off today, the vibes weren't that great. Overall probably not returning, almost $30 and we didn't feel the chicken was the quality it typically is, and we've been here multiple times before. Typically we spend closer to $40 though, for each entree to have the completed side as a meal, and honestly for 2 people and in this rising economy, that's too steep to chance it not being that good. Super disappointing, would love to support local and have good food but not willing to risk $30-40 like that again.

This is my favorite place to eat in Eugene. The chicken is masterfully seasoned and fried. And the spice level is steep but fair. Typically I can go to most places that offer spicy food and sometimes it might hit that spark that happens, even Thai food is often tame. This is different. I've had to roll back from ordering the XX-hot to just X-hot because it would gas me out. I love the small menu, I love the location, and I love the spice. If I could give six stars, I would.

Just arrived at the airport and decided to go get some lunch. My first thing I do upon arriving in a new city is to check yelp. One of the restaurants in the area was this Nashville hot chicken establishment which I decided to try out. I didn't catch his name, but the owner was super friendly and told me that he formerly ran a Nashville hot chicken restaurant in the Nashville area. When my food arrived, it looked fantastic and tasted even better. This is a true gem and everyone should give this place a try! I can state affirmatively that I will be back.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while abd finally checked it out today. Got it Togo and it traveled for about 30 minutes before I was able to enjoy. It traveled incredibly well, I now need to come back and eat fresh! I got got the hot Chicken sandwich which he described as cayenne and habanero. Chicken was thigh meat. Sandwich had great flavor and the perfect amount of heat. Homemade potato salad was a nice contrast in flavor and heat killer when needed.

Chicken sandwich - hot, with curly fries

Loved it! We'd been trying to get here for awhile now, but every time we drove by it seemed like they'd be closed and it wasn't too consistent to know the hours. I did try to reach out to ask but didn't receive a response. However, I am not going to mark them down for that, this is a local small company that seems like they're far too busy making amazing chicken to respond to my small request. Not going to complain because the food was totally worth it. The small menu is refreshing, you don't have to think too hard about what to pick. We tried the tenders in mild and sandwich in hot (weird there isn't a medium between those two?). My husband said the mild was plenty spicy and I felt that the hot was just right, I was sweating just the right amount. And I liked that it was a dry rub, not a sauce. The only issue with the sandwich is that it just ended up falling apart, I just ended up eating the chicken and slaw on its own. The curly fries are also delicious, if anything they were just slightly over-salted. Definitely coming back for some of this again, but I'll just get the tenders and forgo the bun! To others that complained about waiting "outside in the cold" - this is a food truck. It is winter in Oregon. You're going to be waiting. Outside in the cold, if you choose. Or you could just sit your car. Don't be rude because you were in a bad mood.

While visiting my child here in Eugene, she suggested we come here for breakfast. I was very surprised and pleased with this place. The vibe is young, fresh, bright and all things University of Oregon. My server was amazing. She was on point with making sure I have my coffee cup full at all times! You have no idea how much this means to me! The pancakes we ordered were light and fluffy. It was delicious. The bacon, even though the menu said 'thin sliced', was fairly thick. I guess where I come from, when they say thin sliced, it's paper thin. lol Over all, amazing place. Price point is great and service is exceptional!

The Original Pancake House in Eugene is a charming, family-friendly spot with genuine warmth and stellar coffee. The casual, lively vibe makes it feel like the proper brunch destination you'd hope for from a legendary breakfast joint. We ordered their hero dish--a side of buttermilk pancakes--and the Irish Omelette. The pancakes delivered real flavor: fluffy, tender, with classic buttermilk tang. My only critique? They arrived cool, likely from sitting in the warmth window a bit too long. Off the griddle, these would shine. The Irish Omelette was more disappointing. Designed to be airy and light with corned beef and potatoes inside, ours was overcooked and rubbery--far from the delightful, pillowy texture it should be. For a restaurant with this history, execution should be consistent. The coffee and service were warm and attentive, which goes a long way. 3/5 stars. Worth visiting for atmosphere, especially if your pancakes arrive hot. Try during slower service to avoid the window-sit fate. The Portland location executes at a higher level.

The Food for Lane county Grilled Cheese Experience brought me to Blended to try their offering,…read morealthough I was interested based on some photos I'd seen of their sandwiches online. I got the grilled cheese sandwich offering, but also decided to try their Dubai brownie and a pistachio hot chocolate. First, my only issue, it was a little confusing to order. There was a kiosk where you order yourself in one window, then in the next window there was a spot you could order with someone. I don't know if you could order the same things at both sections, I'd assume so. But this is a very minima thing. As soon as I was ordering an employee greeted me and if I hadn't figured it out I'm sure I could've asked. Now the good stuff- the sandwich was amazing. I believe it's just offered for this month, but I'd happily try their other offerings. The flavors were balanced, it was a good portion, it was hit, fresh ingredients. The Dubai brownie and hot chocolate were also excellent. Rich, chocolate Lu, everything you want. They make the pistachio sauce for the hot chocolate in house from what I was told, and i could taste it. Adding a couple nice espresso shots would make an amazing mocha too. They have a pretty extensive list of Dubai items, so if you haven't tried it or you love it they have a great selection from cookies and cheesecakes to strawberry cups and the hot chocolate. It's set in the 5th street public market, a couple chairs and tables around. When it's busy it might be hard to find a seat, but it's a neat location and easy to take to go. Definitely worth checking out!

Ordered the sandwich, and a drink (energy drink, of a brand I have never tried) My Reuben arrived quickly, and I was also given a pickle and some napkins (if you order this, ask for extra napkins... you will need them!) :) Sandwich was huge, loaded with corned beef and pastrami. The rye bread was on point too! Delicious... I will be ordering this again! Energy drink was interesting... good flavor, although I could not say what flavor it was, lol! Pickle was good too! After finishing the sandwich, I had to get a couple of Macarons too. I have never had them before, and wanted to see what all the hype was about. I think I have a new favorite cookie, lol... I will be craving these, very good! Highly recommended!

It had been years since I had been to this truck. Well to be honest I have not been to the truck…read moresince it was sold, and even before then I didn't go much because I never went to Ninkasi where it used to be located. Fast forward to now, we moved to Veneta not long ago. I had been passing by the truck parked in the lot at Grocery Outlet, and I have been seeing a lot of posts, and activity about the truck on my Facebook. They have some pulled pork taco's topped with strawberries, Serrano cream cheese, spinach, and a balsamic reduction that have definitely caught my eye. Well I finally had a chance to try them out. Let me tell you. They did not disappoint. I wasn't able to get a pic because someone picked them up for me, and I was too hungry to snap pics. Also I had to pick onions off, which was fine. My guy probably forgot to ask for no onion. The flavors with the pulled pork, balsamic glaze, and strawberries really go well together. I thoroughly enjoyed each bite. I can't wait to go back, and try more menu items. The funny thing that happened later on in the day, we went wine tasting...food trucks were brought up, and they said the owners of Iscream for Waffles comes out there. We were told they also own the Zingaro food truck, but it had been out of commission so he purchased the Iscream for Waffles. Well it makes perfect sense now why I see such creative food on the menu. Not that there wasn't before. But the people who owned Zingaro had such great food, and also had creative menu items at the tap house next to Cornucopia when they were there. I do wonder if they run the Yelp. The reviews on here seem outdated. How ever they are pretty current with their social media on Instagram, and Facebook. They have updated hours, and menu items weekly, as well as more than one location. They are in Eugene again, so you don't have to drive all the way out to Veneta. I how ever am pleased to have them here.

We were happy to see that while they were fairly busy, they were quick to put together a table to accommodate us right away. Located within a small strip type mall in South Eugene, parking is relatively easy. This local family business is open 7 days a week from 7am to 2pm. They offer their full menu which includes both breakfast and lunch items all day. In addition to American breakfast classics they offer Mexican-inspired dishes such as Huevos Rancheros and Chilaquiles. Our server came by and welcomed us and took our drink orders. In addition to the natural offerings of coffee and assorted juices they offer specialty coffees ranging from a standard iced coffee to white mochas, cappuccinos, dirty chai tea latte's and Mexican mochas. As we began to peruse the menu we immediately noticed their prices are extremely reasonable, which is always appreciated. Everything on the menu sounded really yummy and we each made our selections. Our table ordered items including the Linguica Scramble, Pancakes, and Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches. The restaurant had a good steady stream of customers but they appeared to be able to handle the amount of people and we didn't notice anyone wait more than a couple of minutes to be seated. We also observed a good amount of to-go/Door Dash traffic. Our orders arrived in a timely manner and looked delicious. We each enjoyed our meals and we understand why my brother-in-law made the suggestion. If you are visiting the U of O campus or are in Southwest Eugene, check out South Hills Cafe!
