I've heard so much about the peanut butter pickle bacon burger but I opted for the Fun Guy this time. The Fun Guy burger is humongous! It has Bacon, Mushroom, Swiss Fondue, House Sauce, Mayo, Grilled Onion and Pickles. Oh my gosh, talk about a burger from heaven! This place is phenomenal. I came in Sunday around 7:20pm and there were 2-3 other couples in here. The decor is very hip and Duck centric which is a given with the owner/UofO link, but it's a fun environment regardless. I ordered the smasher combo for $10.45 and the quality of the ingredients was far superior to any fast food joint where I would've spent more for a similar amount of food. The last time I was in town a few months ago, I don't recall if this location was open yet. I was heading back to campus and decided to stop here for a bite to eat. I enjoyed my burger experience at the Killer Burger downtown location, so I knew I was getting a good burger. This location at Oakway is convenient, after you do your shopping you could stop here for a buger. Did I mention parking, maybe not in front of the location, but there is parking available. Killer Burger is a fast, casual place--dine in or take it to go. It wasn't busy on our visit and it was quick and easy to order. I think timing is everything and we arrived before the dinner rush on a Friday. Since we've been to Killer Burger in the past, we knew what we wanted. We ordered the Fun Guy and the Barnyard and there was a short wait while they make your burger, but it went fairly quickly and we got our burger in about 10 minutes. We got our burgers, took it back to campus and it was still warm, best of all the buns didn't even get soggy with all that travel time. Pretty straightforward menu a good variety of sauces to choose from well and of course the burgers. I forgot the name of the burger I chose but it was the one with blue cheese on it. I must say it was good. Not out of this world or anything but I would go back to try all the other burgers as it was very difficult for me to pick one. I think for the price fries should be included or a side. Or a bigger meat patty. Overall I was pretty happy with the experience. I would go back but this isn't a place that I would crave. Initially we tried the Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon and Fun Guy. The Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon is what brought us back. Most places put plain peanut butter on the burger but not this place. They use a peanut sauce like if you ordered chicken satay at a Thai restaurant. Making it a sauce truly sets this place apart. The Fun Guy was good but the Swiss Fondue was too much for me. A cheese lover would probably really enjoy it. I recommend getting the larger burger patty. Tried all the sauces and the peanut was the favorite to dip fries into. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon with my guys for the first time in Eugene. (We've tried Killer Burger in Portland.) The kid and I both got the box deal with an extra patty and it was the perfect size burger and amount of fries. The burger was well seasoned and cooked. The house fry sauce is strong on the mustard which was surprisingly good. The flavors were really good - I am always happy to find a blue cheese option. The fries were just okay. Have not been to killer burger in a while but decided to get a quick bite last night with my boyfriend. I got the classic, he got the hot honey chicken burger, and sharable fries. I don't really love that they made burgers and fries separate and honestly that is what has deterred me from returning. If you're familiar, they used to sell it together, all burgers came with fries. A classic burger was $12, came with fries, and now they're $10 but fries are almost $4. Pricy honestly to say the least, but it is what it is, if they do not want to go back to how it was priced before. Regardless, burgers were very good! I like their buns and the meat and everything on the burger tastes fresh, and cooked to order. Service was friendly, didn't feel rushed and they were very good about getting people the sauces they paid for! Vibes were very casual, though it's a much bigger location than the downtown one. I would visit the downtown location of Killer Burger every time I was craving a messy, cheesy, gooey burger. Their fun guy with a veggie pattie was my go to everytime and I loved it. So when the new Oakway location opened up I was very excited. The interior is very fun. Just one giant love letter to the Oregon Ducks football team. However, my burger was not as good as I remember. It didn't have much flavor, there were hardly any mushrooms on it, and it was sloppy, and not in a fun way. Did Killer Burger change their menu and recipe? I want to give them one more try to see if this was just a weird one off kind of thing or if this is how their veggie burgers are going to be from now on. With that being said, I am still very excited about this location. It's a great addition to the Oakway area and it's going to be a great spot to meet up before or after Duck Games. read more

I had not been to this location before, and when my DIL suggested it for lunch I was not about to turn it down. I used to eat the Peanut butter pickle burger all of the time, until I didn't enjoy dining at the down town location. Not KB's fault, it was the rif raf outside. So when they put this location up, I was excited! I just had not had a chance to stop in, until yesterday. What a lovely spot to dine, and also the service was great. My only complaint would be the parking lot is not so great. The only upside to that is you get extra steps in if you park, say like by Mucho. Every time I want to try another burger, I can't. That peanut butter pickle burger just calls out to me. It's that sweet, and salty savory goodness, that likes to party in my mouth. The great thing is, they were just as good as I remembered. I also had just had a peanut butter burger the night before, except it was at a competitors spot. I will have to say, that one didn't hold a candle next to Killer Burger's peanut butter pickle burger. Their sauce is just Boss! The fries are good, but honestly I don't eat a whole lot of them. I came in here with my husband last night because I needed a snack and was craving their fries. This new location has been on our list of places to go, so we were both excited. Parking for the restaurant is terrible. Park in the Trader Joe's lot and walk, it's much easier. The restaurant itself is clean and spacious. I love that there's plenty of room to be comfortable in here, even on busy nights. Plus they have TVs, so you can watch sports if you desire. Customer service in here was good. Nothing fabulous to write home about, but no complaints either. I saw the owner working and delivering food, which I have huge respect for. Food... my husband ordered a burger and fries, and I shared that with him. I really was simply craving fries, so I ate his. He ordered the berserker. It has havarti cheese and grilled jalapeños added to it. I had several bites and we both loved it. I need to come back when I'm hungrier and order one for myself. I also love that this location is closer to me than the downtown Eugene one, and in a much better area. Would I return? Yes! I'm already craving the berserker burger and want to go back now. Lol. I don't like to leave bad reviews, and I usually try to give a place more than one chance before I do ... but that burger was not good at all. It was SO salty that between that and the condiments, I couldn't even taste the burger. I added an egg and they're usually sunny side up, but they cooked the egg so it was just a solid block of well done egg (not that it matter because I couldn't taste it anyway). I was starving so I ate what I could but now I feel a little sick. I just want to be able to taste the burger and vegetables but everything else was just so much that it overpowered all of it. Yuck. I also wish they would staple the bag closed when it's being delivered by Grub Hub like other places so I feel confident no one messed with my food.
