We were going to Gene and decided to look up food trucks. This food truck is in a location next to a brewery along with three or four other food trucks. We were attracted by the listing that had good reviews and shoestring fries. They may possibly have been out of shoestring fries, but the fries we got were not shoestring. They were crinkle cut. We had never been there before so we asked several questions to the person taking our order. I'm not sure if she just didn't want to be there or if she was frustrated that we were asking questions but she was less than thrilled. The burgers were OK a little bit overcooked for my preference. We were disappointed that they were crinkle cut fries instead of shoestring fries. The best part of the food was this green sauce they make homemade. Yum these burgers are pretty good! Fresh tasting vegetables and the meat is nicely seasoned and cooked well. The bun is soft. I got American cheese and the triple has cheddar cheese, both were cooked deliciously. This did cost $36 with tip however so quite steep for a food truck but not terrible. This is a cool little food truck surrounded by all sorts of different food trucks. This was my first time coming here and I got the double meat burger it was good but I wish I got the single patty it was a lot of meat. It comes with lettuce tomato and onion, with your choice of sauce on the burger and cheese. I also got a large fri and wow they were good. They make excellent burgers, five stars every time. Today I decided to order a chili dog as it seemed like the right pairing with a lager after a walk along the river. The chili dog arrived swimming in water with lots of beans and meat on top of the dog. To combat the chili water destroying the bun I had to slide some napkins under the whole thing. It struck me that the chili water and bun were cold, not even warm.  Still I wanted to give it a try even if this was going to be messy and need a fork after the second bite.  The dog was nice and hot and tasty but the cold chili and chili soaked bun were a killer. This is one of those things that should be removed from the menu I attempted to get something else after starting that the dog wasn't good and there were no questions about why. No food should have been served in that state, not something to fail at even one time.  I'll remember the fine burgers that I had from them but will not be interested in anything else from them. Went with a large group. Several people ordered from here. It was a fairly busy night, with Trivia. The person after me was told it would be a 45 minute to hour wait. If I knew that I may have not ordered my son his burger and fries from here. Upon waiting the buzzer did not go off- it had been a while. I can't say how long because I had given up caring about the time. My son was okay considering he had an appetizer from another food truck. BUT he went up to ask about his food. It had been sitting there for who knows how long. Our friends were still waiting for their burgers. Several people this evening had their burgers/food mixed up. And the staff did nothing to fix the problem. Not rude but definitely not helpful, had any remorse or suggestions. Can't say how the food tasted, I did not eat it. read more

This is an odd little eclectic food truck establishment in an odd little place. I'm not from Eugene so I don't have context for the location. It's behind another restaurant in kind of an industrial park. It's cute enough. There are a couple tables. One in the shade. The fries are the best part of this place. Shoestring. Crunchy. Just enough salt. Delicious. The burgers are okay. Better than fast food but certainly not designer burgers. And they are priced exactly that way. Kids meals are very big. My kids couldn't eat all of theirs. Burgers are big too. One patty (single) is plenty and is only five bucks. There are some fun add ons for about two bucks: avocado, grilled onions, mushrooms. Grilled onions weren't awesome and they were out of the other ones. Service was nice as could be. Friendly. Fast. Cute with my kids. They accommodated my bunless request. And they use compostable containers! I debated for longer than I care to admit about three or four stars. It's just not a four star burger though. The service and fries, along with supporting a cool little independent business, bump it to a four. Tip: ask for ketchup for the burger. read more

10/10 experience every time I go. The owner Katie is always the nicest and even though they were absolutely slammed she and the other girl working did they're very best to be open and honest on wait times and got the food out asap. These are the best burgers I've personally had in all of Eugene and I definitely will be coming back! As much time as I spend at Oakshire, I love knowing I can grab a burger and fries in the event that hunger strikes. Burgers on the Run is a food truck parked out back of The Public House. This is one of the cleanest food carts that I've seen, which eases your mind any time you order from a food cart. The food is perfect for what it is, which is fast food. When I was a youngster and lived in Washington, there was a small burger shack called Smitty's. I loved eating there, to me it was the definition of a Michelen 3 star restaurant. So it was pretty nostalgic having that classic burger taste with 100% fresh toppings, which made a world of difference.....as it usually does. The day we were here, it was damn cold outside. To my surprise when we were done placing our order, we were able to take a number back into The Public house and they said they would come look for us and drop our burgers off. I really didn't expect that, but that's how they roll. I wouldn't jam down here for dinner, but i'll more than likely get a burger each time I swing in for a few frosty pints of brewha. read more

I will agree with one of the other posts. EXCELLENT price to quality ratio. Veggies were really fresh and neat. Place was clean, friendly and inviting. The bun didn't suffer from sog-factor. Special sauce was very unique and addictive. Burger patties hag a good char on the outside, but were a little overdone inside for my tastes, but I can look past that. I usually prefer a little pink. Next time I will just ask. I'm sure it will be no problem, but for a review, I like to go kind of basic before branching out. The food itself was a visual work of art (see photos). Wow, I am a fan! Walk down a gravel road behind oakshire brewery and you have burgers on the run. No frills, they just make a good burger and fries! I really was not expecting much but I left wanting another. Vegetables on the burger were crisp. Sauce was green, weird right? It is tasty at least. Bun was perfect toasty. Fries were a McDonald's look alike. Tasted different, but had a nice crisp to them. I'll be back! Go try this cart! Just wish it was a drive thru location so I could frequent easier. read more

Finally tried this place - a local, two blocks from my GF's house. And if you want a fine old fashioned ch/burger at a great price (uh, with BRIGHT neon- GREEN SAUCE), this is the place. Ordered the double burger, med rare, with pepper jack and all the fixin's. And that's EXACTLY what I got. Tender bun, abundant, fresh toppings, simple burger patties cooked just right. Bursting out of its old fashioned paper wrapping, almost too fat to eat, like a confused time traveler from the fifties, . It looked old fashioned and delicious, and that's exactly what it was.. Sitting in one of their red plastic adirondack chairs, dogs munching free dog biscuits, eating my burger... enjoyed every bite, sad to see it go. Contentment. That's what that nice feeling was. Steve, the owner/operator, is incredibly friendly and community oriented. However, his menu and some of his signage contains spelling and grammatical errors. But I forgive him. This place is across from The Goat in my neighborhood. I tried his steak sandwich. It was delicious! The steak was perfectly medium rare inside with sliced onion, lettuce, and tomato. I love a good burger. This place has some okay burgers. The burgers have been undercooked alomost everytime I place an order. The green sauce used here is absolutly amazing. It's some sort of aoli of sorts i guess, only problem is he tints it green with food coloring. Often my orders have been messed up.
