Christian was superb. The Breezaire unit that replaced the original unit did not vent as the original unit. He rebuilt the unit to fit our cellar properly including proper insulation. He is an effective communicator. read more

It is a January Tuesday when there is snow on the ground and below freezing temperatures for several days now. We are all warm in this old house because of Wansley. The heater stopped working Sunday evening late and a phone call Monday morning and they were at this old house by late morning. It was complicated as the hearing system is old and due to their competence, tenacity and very friendly service, problem identified, part modified to fix the problem and that late afternoon when we arrived home, the heater was working. This morning our hearts of full of gratitude and warmth for the family of Wansley Refrigeration. read more

Called on Wednesday for service and it is Friday nite. And never heard from them the woman who talk call is horrible

July 15/2023 & the thermostat on our Central AC unit just stops working...we called 3 companies hoping that maybe one could see us tomorrow because we assumed no one would be able to come on short notice. They called us & came out, replaced our thermostat & now everything is working perfect. The young man's name was Bailey & he was very professional & checked everything out & replaced our thermostat & we are so very happy with the projected temperature today to be 107 & heat index 113 Wansley saved our senior lives!!!! I will recommend them to everyone!!!!! read more

Worst service beyond anything you could imagine. We've been without AC for 2 weeks in the height of summer while Wansley Fails repeatedly to fix our unit. Theyve come out to fix the AC three times and have spent at most 5 minutes looking at the problem before assuring me it's fixed and then leaving. We are awaiting their fourth visit in two weeks for them to try to fix it again. If the landlord wasn't choosing to work with this company I would have enlisted any other company to do the job. Hiring Wansley will be a huge waste of your time and money as you wait for them to show up (late) and be unable to fix your AC. Do yourself a favor and chose a more professional AC service that can get the job done. Wansley leaves you with no AC for weeks and wastes your time with workers who don't know how to fix your AC. read more

One of the best AC business in Austin. These guys are fast, reliable, and knowledgeable. Bailey took care of us and delivered an amazing experience. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. Made the entire experience enjoyable. 5 stars for Bailey and his company. read more

They're the best! I wouldn't use anyone else!! The owner has always been available for me and the employees are very knowledgeable and competent. I highly recommend them. read more

It is rare that I leave negative ratings but this company deserves one. I was familiar with them since I have been in the Austin area for 50 years. I asked them to service a wine room In my house in February. There was a delay and the tech said it was a relay which he replaced but that didn't fix it. He next said the compressor needed to be replaced. I ordered a new one and had him install it for more than $2000. He said it was freezing out and the Freon level might need adjusting. It never worked . I tried to get them to return for four months by texting the tech and contacting the office and they never showed up. CalledAustin Industrial Refrigeration and they fixed the problem caused by a wrong part installed by Wansley in one week read more

I have been using Wansley for years, for installation, repair and maintenance of my wine cellar refrigeration and our A/C systems. I have never encountered a better service business than Wansley. They always respond quickly to problems, and show great concern about getting systems up and running again as quickly as possible. After years of experience, I continue to be most impressed with their reliability, quality, friendliness and fair pricing. Most of all, I value their honesty. They are without doubt the best in the business. read more

I really wanted to love this company, but unfortunately, the service was terrible. This company came by three times over the course of three weeks to "repair" the AC unit. Someone would just randomly show up, look at the unit and leave. There was virtually no communication. We continuously had to call for updates, calls were not returned and the repairs didn't work. Three weeks later, the problem has not been resolved. read more

While I haven't had these guys out to my home, yet, they are the ONLY company we will call when we need something at work. Mike, our primary technician, is fantastic. Friendly, responsive, reliable and always acts with our best interests in mind. If the repair isn't something he can guarantee, he'll suggest alternatives for us instead of charging us. We can trust that if/when something can be repaired, but more efficiently be replaced, he'll be honest with us and give all the information possible to make the best decision. When Mike (heaven forbid) goes on vacation or is otherwise unavailable, we've worked with other technicians from Wansley. While not all are as friendly as Mike, they have all still done high-quality work, and deliver the same great service. I don't hope for my home A/C to break down any time soon, I do know who I'll call when it needs a little help. read more

My relatively new A/C unit was not cooling properly and the system gave an error message. I called the company that installed the unit and went a day without A/C in 98 degree weather before giving up and calling Wansley on a friend's recommendation. Mike made time to come by and see the unit within 30 minutes of my call. He determined it was a faulty return duct and said he could bring a new one by first thing in the morning. He arrived early the next morning, installed the duct and had cool air back on by 9:30AM. Excellent service, reasonable prices, I could not be happier. read more

The company I work for had an air conditioning problem and with 28 days of temps over 100 we were worried! We had called one place (wich Ill write them a pretty lame review) that come out, told us we needed a part that was difficult to find so we'd need a whole new unit, and then we didn't hear from them for a week... until today. We had called Wansley today (based off another company's recommendation) and they were here within just a few hours. The tech was great and really friendly (wish I would have got his name!). He took the time to make sure all my questions were answered and set the thermostats for us. He also informed me that the unit that was apparently "broken" was actually just not hooked up... hummm. I will recommend these guys to any one who wants great, fast, cost effective, and friendly service that won't bamboozle you! read more

We've had two exceptional experiences with Wansley Refrigeration Services (specifically our technician - Anthony). Our AC stopped working on a Sunday in June so my parents, who have used Wansley for years for both their personal and business needs, recommended we give them a call. Anthony came out within a couple of hours of us calling and fixed our issue, but told us that he thought we might have a large Freon leak so if the issue arose within the next couple of months, we would need to replace the part. Cut to last week, our AC stopped working again; we texted Anthony and he came back out and replaced the Freon again and luckily, we were 4 days within our warranty expiring so the part was covered! Anthony is very responsive and communicative, which is always nice when you're having someone come out. He and Jimmy came out to my house yesterday to install the new part and they worked quickly, efficiently, and explained what they were doing. Highly highly recommend reaching out to Wansley if you have an issue! read more

Don't waste time with anyone else. We'd had a half a dozen hvac repair people out over the years. Wansley beats them all hands down! 90+ degree day and extremely humid. Noticed around 4pm that the upstairs AC didn't seem to be cooling and saw it rise to 83 degrees. Normally it can keep it at 80 on the hottest days but not today. My husband and I realized it wasn't working. Luckily we were going to a friend's house to watch college football and our friends told us about Wansley. Called them and they could come out on a Saturday night!! Husband and kids stayed at friend's house and I came home. Mickey came out and fixed it in 20 minutes. Amazing! Smart, nice and fast. What? Yes, it's true. He saved us from all sleeping on the floor of the living room (it was our upstairs Ac that went out where our bedrooms are.) Will never call anyone else! Wansley is the best. read more

Had them come out today to check out our AC unit which never seems to be working right from the day we moved into house 8 years ago. After at least 5 other AC companies trying to diagnose the issue and not being able to diagnose the problem these guys did it!!! I was so happy and it was a simple fix. He took his time in problem solving and going through every possible issue it could be and figured it out! I wanted to hug him! They are knowledgable, professional and know what they are doing! This will be our new AC company for life! Thank you for your service!! read more

Amazing service! We came home to a hot house after work and started calling around for after hours emergency service. We talked to several companies that said they could get someone out the following Monday...but it was Thursday and we have two small children. The after hours technician from Wansleys was the first to call us back and was only 30 minutes away! Upon arrival, he quickly assessed the issue and started working to get it resolved. He was super thorough and talked me through everything along the way. Super great experience and I wouldn't recommend anyone else for home hvac maintenance. read more

I've just used Wansley for the third time and I am so impressed with them. It was a post on NextDoor a few years ago that led me to call them with an air conditioner problem. They were prompt, very friendly, didn't try to upsell, and quickly solved the issue. My most recent encounter was just yesterday, when Bailey came to our house and in less than half an hour, got our AC cooling properly. He was polite, friendly, and super-competent. The only possible negative thing I could say is really an indicator of their old-fashioned method of doing business: don't use their website to submit a service request. The wonderful lady who answers their phone admitted to me that she doesn't really "trust" the internet and that I should always call to get the quickest result. They apparently still use a card/filing cabinet method of record-keeping and you know what? I'm gonna use 'em forever just because of that and their commitment to fast, friendly, reasonably-priced service. This is what's missing from most "service" businesses today. Wansley will treat you right! read more

We have had Wansley Refrigeration service our home heating and air-conditioning systems for over 25 years, and I recommend them highly. They serviced the two HVAC systems in our house over the years, and have always been responsive to urgent summertime A/C requests. When it was time for replacing the systems, Wansley recommended and installed the new units for us. The staff is courteous, personable and professional, and available for all the questions we have. It's great having a local company we can trust for our heating and AC needs! read more

I have had the most random issues with my current condo and rental house and Anthony has be able to pinpoint the problem an execute. Another thing that seems so hard to come by these days is just having an hvac person show up when they say they're going to. Ive had several bad experiences where the hvac person would not show up or answer my calls once the appointment was made. Anthony texts me lets me know when hes coming and guess what... He actually shows up! Great work! Very reliable! read more

Outstanding/affordable service from experienced professionals. I've used them for 10 years and am very satisfied.

Robbie came out the day I called, my issue wasn't an emergency (meaning I still had a/c) it was just freezing up. He was honest and able to make all repairs within a very timely manner. I highly recommend them read more

These guys are friendly, funny, good at their work, and quick. We've had them work on our rental for heating and AC problems for the last year. The technicians usually send a follow up text to check that the problem has continued to remain resolved. Bailey was our most recent technician who was awesome. He was able to solve our AC problems the same day we requested service. Happy to use Wansley! read more

I would like to give 5 stars, but they handled this maintenance job so poorly. I had a technician stop by for maybe a half hour, said everything was fixed and left. but another half hour later things were broken worse than before he had showed up (Literally from 92 degree heater stuck on, to 114 degrees in my apartment with thermostat set to OFF). he came back for 4 more hours, called several coworkers for help and still couldn't fix the problem. he came back on saturday, showed up 2 and a half hours late, and spent 2 more hours with his pals on it until it finally clicked back on. I got stuck with the bill due to "negligence" based on the terribly misleading invoice description they submitted to my property manager. read more

These guys are the best!! They know what they're doing and are always very responsive. They have serviced my wine room cooling system for years, and I wouldn't consider using anyone else. read more

Our AC died Saturday afternoon (106 heat index) and I called their 24/7 line around 6pm. Mickey called back, asked me a few questions, and gave me some likely causes as well as estimated prices. He showed up at 8pm that day and had everything sorted by 8:30pm--well within his original price estimate. Great experience. read more

Tremendously helpful guys. I called them once for an estimate, got a prompt answer, and when I called back a second time to schedule, they not only remembered me, but they remembered the work I had requested. The guy who came out diagnosed my problem (a different one than what I had said on the phone), was able to get a fix figured out, and was quickly able to make the repair. A great experience from start to finish. read more

Exceptional Service, honest, reliable, knowledgable. Our AC went out on a hot Texas night..the next morning (from a friends recommendation) we called Wansley. Later that day AC was fixed, running perfect! No BS..just straight forward good old fashioned service...will highly recommend to all family and friends! read more

These guys came 1 hour after our call at 8 am and had our AC fixed by noon. Reasonable prices and very nice people!!!

This company continues to exceed our expectations. We have used them over the years and have always been happy with their service. We never have to wait more than a day for a tech to show up and repair the AC. read more
