All were prompt in their responses and provided well written proposals. Only Grayzer included the cost of a permit in their proposal. Further a friend had their wall panel upgraded and their Tesla Wall Connector installed by Grayzier and recommended them highly. After looking at the reviews for the different certified installers, and given that a permit is required in my town to install an EV charger, I went with Grayzer. They provided a date and service window ( a week in advance of my appointment ) and the electrician, Max, pinged me about an hour prior to his arrival. I showed Max my ideal location for the Tesla Wall Connector and he was able to accommodate without having to cut away any drywall or running conduit outside the wall ( YMMV ). Very friendly, professional and knowledgable. He took the information/pictures required by Tesla and by my town's permitting authority, commissioned the Wall Connector, showed my how to add it to the Tesla Application on my iPhone and verified that it was charging at the specified rate (48 amps). He was happy to answer any questions I might have, and I am just delighted by the service and work done. I would recommend highly to friends, neighbors, et al. All in all, quick, fast, efficient, and professional. Cleaned up work area when done. Thank you!

I had one good experience with these guys when then installed a tesla charger at my old house and…read moreat terrible experience with them with they installed a tesla charger at my new house. The first time they did it they installed a 240 volt outlet in my garage and I plugged a tesla mobile connector into that, worked well. The next time they did it at the new house, I thought they would do the same thing but apparently they stopped installing the mobile connectors. Now they only install the wall connector which is a large sci-fi looking thing that is permanently affixed to the wall. It's also more expensive than the mobile connector. None of this was made clear to me when we started the project with Grayzer. They came to my house, got about 90% done with the job then saw the equipment I had and said "sorry we don't do those anymore". They explained the situation to me but since I didn't have the equipment they wanted they couldn't finish. They did however insist on being fully paid for the job. Stupidly, I agreed to pay them and they left saying "call us when you have the wall connector". That was a mistake. Never fully pay for the work until the job is fully done! So I bought one and scheduled a time to finish at which point they said they would need to charge another trip fee to come back out. I explained that it wasn't made clear to me that I didn't have the right equipment until the job was almost complete but they didn't care. They were insistent that I give them another trip fee before they would come back. Frankly they were pretty rude about it too. Like really rude. Whoever I was emailing was belligerent and completely unprofessional. It was extremely frustrating. I tried to explain that as the professionals in this situation they should be the ones checking that all the equipment is ready to go before the job starts. At the time I didn't know the difference between a mobile connector and a wall connector. I didn't even know that tesla had multiple options for wall chargers. I had what I used the first time so I figured it would work. It's not that the trip fee was so much money but after having to drag this out over two visits, spend another $150 to upgrade to a wall connector, a trip fee on top of all that was a bit much. In my opinion, a reasonable company would just accept responsibility and waive the second trip fee. Or at least offer to split it. But not these guys. They dug their trench and they weren't coming out. It was childish and stupid and I'm embarrassed for them. And to boot, the people they sent out to finish up the job were jerks. One of them was yelling and cussing at somebody on their phone like a crazy person in my garage. Honestly, these guys are like school on a Sunday -- no class. I guess this is what happens when you get to be a popular company. Customer service and basic decency goes out the window because what do you care, you have plenty of business. Right? Yeah right.

For this they used a flex conduit and to hold the flex conduit outdoor-rated fasteners need to be used. This was clearly not the case, as there is corrosion and rust clearly visible on the fasteners that were used to hold the conduit (see pictures). I'm sure of this because we also had conduit installed by another electrical contractor for another purpose on a similar exterior wall on the other side of the house that has zero corrosion on it. I reached out to them several times over the span of 4 weeks regarding this, and didn't hear back once. I also specifically remember that the person sent out to do the work was very rude and difficult to work with. This was particularly relevant for hanging a chandelier, since it ended up crooked and he didn't ask for feedback until after he had already taken down his scaffolding, and wasn't willing to put it back up. So to this day we still have a misaligned chandelier. Cost isn't all that matters. For what this level of quality you're better off either learning to DIY, or paying more to hire a better company if you want everything done right and good customer service.

They cracked the drywall and will not reimburse for the repair…read more I had a new direct line ran for a new outlet to the circuit box. When they were in the attic running the wire down the wall to the circuit box, for some reason they had a issue getting the wire down the wall. Whatever tool they used cracked the drywall directly on the other side of the wire. It was a pain having the drywall fixed. I had to remove my TV for the dry wall guy, take time off of work, and have the whole wall painted so it would blend in and not look like a patch job. The owner said he would reimburse me for the bill for the repair. I sent him a copy of what I paid the drywall guy but he has not gotten back to me. It is very hard to contact this company, if you call you will find you always get voicemail. I should of known better. Very dishonest company, I would stay far away from these guys even for a simple job like mine. Update 1: The owner texted me to let me know he intends to reimburse me but he has just been to busy. It's been over a week and I have not gotten any refund, so I feel there is dishonesty in this. Update 2: The owner never reimbursed me. As I suspected, he was lying. I lost quite a bit of money for a relatively simple job. If only I chose another company.

Their communication was friendly and thorough. They also contacted me when interruptions in their schedule occurred, and we problem-solved together. They came back the same evening to address an undetected bad breaker. Since the electricity was off when they did their earlier repairs, there was no way to detect that the surge had fried that breaker. Their goal was to get my power back on. I appreciate that focus on the result and not just the tasks. The billing was transparent. Not inexpensive, but clear and fair for emergency service. I got what I paid for and I'm happy.

Outlets look fine - left trash everywhere that I had to pick up outside (we have little kids and didn't need them stepping on screws and trash.) Left trash inside the house - in our driveway - lazy to not clean up after yourself. On his rush out, he ran his big van off our driveway retaining wall and broke a huge section of the wall. He said he would refer and send another contractor out to finish our walls - putting sheetrock back together and texturing walls so they were "paint ready." That contractor showed up to do a half-ass job - said he would return to finish - never returned. 3-4 cancelations over 3-4 weeks - not responding to texts - finally sent "another" guy to finish his work. That guy showed up - walked the house - said he was going to Home Depot to get materials and guess what... never came back. Now neither are responding leaving us with NON paint ready shitty walls. Our house was left a freaking disaster. And we are also now out the cost to repair our retaining wall. I would not hire - too hard to find good contractors.

I was looking to replace my entire AC system which is why it's important to find the best in the business and rated the best. It's also important to find more than one 5* business so you can get a better picture and quotes for such an expensive endeavor which I found helpful. If you're going to go all the way with such an expense, it's best to educate yourself as much as possible, and there's lots of YouTube videos on AC repair and replacement which you should watch prior to making that decision. You really need to be an informed and educated customer or you might find yourself with an inferior or wrong system. I found that certain AC companies want the steer you to certain brands they represent, so you may wish to decide on a brand first. I found that the Carrier Infiniti system with its very high seer rating and variable speed was the perfect choice. More details on this system in the photos below. If you live in a two-story house like mine, you can expect the price to be much greater due to the fact that you have dampeners which will need to be fixed or replaced which greatly adds to the bill. As for my AC, it was over 20 years old, but still chugging along. However, I knew there was going to be new mandates in 2025 which would greatly add to the expense of AC replacement such as a new refrigerant which is slightly flammable called Puranovance. I replaced my old R22 compressor with the new R-410a which is still readily available, but will eventually be phased out many years from now. I also mistakenly thought you'd get a good deal by replacing it during the cool months, but apparently a lot of people were doing what I was doing so no break in the price. As a matter fact, the date of manufacture of my new Infiniti compressor was only just a couple weeks old before it was installed. After some back-and-forth on pricing, we finally decided on a date of installation. Carl and his crew showed up and had everything installed within six hours and hauled off the old units. We still needed some troubleshooting in order to dial-in the thermostats functioning properly, but everything works perfectly now and the temperature remains exactly as you set it throughout the house. Both the compressor and the blower motor are incredibly quiet. Since I knew I needed this replacement at some point, I had enough money in the bank to cut a check for the job. When you sign up for Carl's service, you get Carl in the equation. Check out the photos below which show you the equipment, specs and the pricing. Update: After 2 weeks the plenum did separate, but I was able to use foil tape to close up the 8" gap. Personally, I think a 30 day check up would be a good idea not just for Carl, but anyone who gets this kind of installation from whatever company you choose.

I consider myself a DIYer, but in this case, I wanted something done professionally to make sure everything was nice and neat. While I had a basic idea of what I wanted, I debated getting a formal project manager to handle coordination of the full install. With a ton of experience doing this kind of install, Marcus helped out so much that I was pretty much able to handle coordination of the main pieces and personnel without needing to hire anyone else. He did a great job making the vision come alive and was transparent with any problems that arises (and importantly fixing them when necessary). He was friendly, fair with pricing, and also very quick-- framing and installation took only 2 separate, spread out days (to allow for drywalling and parts arrival in between). My personal experience with him in terms of communication was excellent, but I also purposefully avoided peak summer season so as not to catch him at a busy time. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

I have had an absolutely awful experience with Airco, and I feel compelled to warn others about their poor workmanship, lack of accountability, and rude customer service. First, the installation they did in August was completely botched. They had to come back shortly after to "fix" their mistakes, but it seems their fixes were only temporary. Fast forward to January, and my system started failing again. A fuse at the service disconnect blew, which left me with no choice but to contact them again. When the technician came out to address the issue, instead of thoroughly inspecting the wiring or taking responsibility, he tried to pass it off as a power surge. This excuse was nothing more than an attempt to dodge accountability, especially since there were no signs of a surge elsewhere in my home. He didn't even bother to properly check the wiring, which I later discovered was likely the root cause of the problem. To make matters worse, the air handler (which requires a 60-amp breaker) was installed on a 50-amp breaker--something that is not only unsafe but also a clear violation of electrical codes. When I brought this up, the technician rudely and combatively insisted it was fine, even though it obviously isn't. This is basic electrical knowledge, and their willingness to cut corners at the expense of safety is shocking. Their customer service has also been appalling throughout this process. When I reached out to schedule service, I received a dismissive and defensive text message instead of the clear communication I expected: "This is Airco, I talked to you around 3:45 and told you we would be out today after 4 or 5. I did not tell you it would be before then. You are next on the schedule." This kind of tone is unprofessional and only added to my frustration. Overall, Airco has failed me on every level--botched installation, dismissive customer service, and rude, combative technicians who are more interested in deflecting blame than solving problems. I wouldn't recommend Airco to anyone. Save yourself the headache and hire a company that will prioritize safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. To top it all, I called the city, in September, and they did not pull a permit. The city fined AirCo and contacted them to tell them to file a permit. read more

I totally LOVE my experience with Airco so far. Jon was my technician today and he was INCREDIBLE. Our A/C stopped blowing cool and Jon arrived the same day I called. He was prompt, on time, called 30 minutes before arrival, and was very professional. After performing several different tests, Jon was able to find the issue related to a burnt-out piece connecting to the circuit board. Jon even noticed my thermostat control unit in my house had been wired incorrectly for 2 years (which is what caused the part on the circuit board to melt and burn out - because both heating and A/C were running at the same). Jon explained things to me in an easy-to-understand way and was very honest with me on what needed to be fixed. Honesty is something that I look for most in an A/C repair company. Jon was able to bypass the heater until the parts could be ordered (which allowed our house to stay cool in the meantime.) Jon also stayed with me for an extra 20 minutes after the diagnosis to help me configure my Alexa smart thermostat properly. The inspection service charge was also very reasonable at $65.00. Airco is great so far and I hope Jon is the technician who is dispatched to my house once the new part arrives. I highly recommend Airco. read more

Our 19 year old unit was dying fast and we knew we needed it replaced. Because of my work schedule my wife was the one who had to handle everything. She got bids from 4 major companies and one mom and pop. Airco was only a few hundred dollars more then the cheapest bid. Stuart the salesman was very professional in telling my wife what we needed, didn't try to sell us stuff we didn't, showed her the companies insurance and bonding. He left us with info on 3 different units and let us determine what we could afford. Out of the 5 bids we received, Airco and Stuart were the most knowledgeable about the products they sell, the presentation of why we should chose them and the warranty information. When they came to install the new unit the installers were very polite and professional, even asking permission to use the restroom every time they needed to use it. They protected my floors and cleaned up everything when they were done. They asked if my wife wanted to go into the attic and look at the new unit and explain everything. Day one they sent out an A/C guy who checked a few things and said we needed to call in an electrician. The electrician came out the next day and got things running again. Both guys seemed to know what they were doing and fixed the problem. No complaints there. I paid in full immediately. Now you'd think receipts for the payments would show up in my email pretty soon, right? That's pretty much how the world works these days. A receipt for the A/C guy's work DID soon show up in my email. But a receipt for the electrician's work did not. I called Airco a number of times asking for one. Finally they sent an invoice, not a receipt. Then they sent me a 'New Customer Order', whatever that is. It's still not a receipt. So at this point, I give up. I just hope my insurance company will accept my claim based on the non-receipt I'm going to send them! read more

I'm always pleased with Airco Residential Tech Robert who comes to our home for service checks once a year. Airco has sent the same Sr. Tech which causes you to build a repore with your service tech. Immediately Robert ask did I have any concerns and begin to follow-up for each area. He exceeded expectation and gave me additional information which will help our goal and keep our units excellent. What impressed me about Robert is his concern for your well being even sharing his own personal care taking of his parents/family and why he believes in the company he works for. He has to come back tomorrow and I appreciated Robert focusing on keeping our systems excellent and our money in our pocket. I have seen other companies take advantage of your lack of knowledge. This is my 3 time using AirCo and I could not be more pleased. I had some issues with one of my AC units in my house, very easy to schedule, Martin reached out with his scheduled time, arrived when he said, quickly figured out what was wrong, explained it all, got him some parts and went to work on fixing it straight away... always keeping me in the loop as the afternoon went on. I have to say, in the 30 years living in Austin, AirCo is hands down better than any of the other 8-10 HVAC companies I've dealt with across the 12 HVAC systems between my home and work locations. These guys are a breath of fresh "Air" in a world of companies that have been a bit of a disappointment ether with lack of responsiveness, honestly, or skill level. I've had them now do service on two systems, install a brand new system and I could not recommend them strongly enough. Solid 5 stars. read more

I returned home from vacation, opened my front door, and was hit with Extreme Heat. I could hear the AC running, but it was not putting out cold air my AC was not working. I called Airco, and they sent out their specialists Rudy Flores. Rudy was very professional ,and knowledgeable about his job, and products. Once Rudy found out my unit was not repairable, he offered a portable unit to keep my master bedroom cool, until the new unit could be installed. Rudy went over all my options, and made sure that I was in agreement. The install team arrived on time Saturday as promised, and they did a Great job, and made sure that everything was clean before leaving, and that I understood how to operate the unit. If I ever need in AC service in the future, or someone that I know needs a good AC company, I will for sure recommend Airco. read more

I just want to take a moment to give the highest praise possible to Dean, the AC guy, who is now basically a folk hero in our hearts. During Kill Tony episode #731 at the Comedy Mothership, the main room AC went out, and in a moment that will surely be studied in HVAC textbooks for decades, Dean emerged from the shadows like a climate-control cowboy. Within minutes, he wrangled that rogue AC unit back into submission, saving the audience from becoming a sweaty, sad open mic at a sauna. When Tony brought him on stage after the fix, the place erupted. I wasn't there in person... but I felt the cold air spiritually. You know a man is good at his job when his work gives you goosebumps through a podcast. Dean didn't just fix the AC--he fixed the vibe. Solid service. Always prompt and efficient. Good at following up. Only concern I have is that each time they come for a maintenance check up on our units they leave a repair estimate for totally different things (i never have them do any of the work, so in theory all of the problems they find should exist the next time a guy comes to do a check). I decided a while back that I would only consider doing the recommended repairs if 2 service guys in a row leave me with estimates for the same issues - so far that has not happened. After the last appointment I was told that there were no issues that needed to be fixed and that aside from being old the units are in ok condition. They never push me to pay for any of the repairs they suggest so overall I am pleased with the service they give. read more

Cannot say enough good things about this company and their staff. I was getting estimates for the replacement of my old HVAC unit, which was still working but was worn out. Stuart was sent to my home to assess the situation, and gave me 4 good options with no pressure to purchase one or the other, he was there to simply educate me so I can make the best choice. Enrique was sent to install my system yesterday, and did a fantastic job start to finish. And yes the people they send are employees, not subcontractors. I would never hesitate to use AirCo for your HVAC needs. They're local folks and much more reasonably priced than their competitors and don't try to sucker you in to something that you don't need/want/cannot afford. I am not someone who traditionally posts on yelp about personal life experiences but felt this definitely needed to be shared. As you may know, any type of home repair can be stressful and exhausting especially the major ones like our broken ac unit. My Wife and I called Airco and spoke with Wes (An Owner). Wes treated us with understanding and compassion through clear and sound advice when purchasing a new a/c unit. He went above and beyond to treat us like family and cared for our home like his own. My A/C just broke down I called Airco to have it checked. Unfortunately my air conditioning is no way to be repaired. Prior to Airco I called other company to have my air conditioning repaired however after few days it won't cool then yesterday it just don't work anymore. And it was nightmare! I decided not to call them again and rather called Airco as recommended by my colleague. They were very honest as they say my aircon retired and the cost of the repair would be very expensive way more expensive than buying a new one. So they recommend me buying a new one. We used Airco after an experience with another company left us with a broken a/c unit several times in one week. I had heard Airco's service was top notch - and they certainly delivered! We were able to get someone out that day - and the representative that came out (Todd) was wonderful. He went through a few tests, many of which the other company hadn't done or hadn't done correctly, and he was able to locate the problem and fix our unit within hours and for much less than we expected. Having two small children in the house, knowing that we will have reliable a/c this weekend and going into the hot summer season is so crucial! Just wanted to give another shout-out to Rudy for going out of his way to help us get an appointment, despite having a booked schedule. We originally booked an appointment to take place the next week, but when he finished a job that was nearby he called to say he could squeeze us in (even though it was a Saturday afternoon) so we wouldn't have to wait through the weekend with our AC issue. He spent over an hour checking things out to diagnose the issue and when it turned out to be more of an issue with plumbing, rather than AC, he still took the time to describe the problem to us in detail so we knew how to seek assistance--and he didn't charge us for the time. Airco replaced our HVAC system about five years ago and we've kept a maintenance contract with them ever since. Last summer Robert came out on one of the hottest days of the year to replace a bad capacitor, and said it sounded like our fan motor was dragging, but he didn't have a replacement on hand. Well, the system ran okay through the heating system but with hot weather approaching again I thought I'd better get that motor seen to. So Robert returned, replaced the motor, flushed the drain pipes and did all he could on a cool day to make sure we're ready for hot days ahead. He is professional, thorough, personable, and kind. This company is amazing! And Rudy Flores is the best ever! Sure, there were things that went wrong... and I was scared and frustrated. But Rudy took such good care of me and the company backed him up every time. Things go wrong y'all, your house might be old... You may have to deal with a little bit more than you would like. The gas heat on my AC / heating unit quit working. I phoned AIRCO and got an appointment the next afternoon. My technician, Martin showed up at the beginning of the time window. He checked out the problem, which was a new board, still under warranty. He was able to get the part the same day, and got another part just in case it was damaged by the failure of the first one. He got the heater going, checked it out carefully, and will return the second part. The unit was installed by AIRCO and has been maintained by AIRCO, same for our rental properties. I have been very satisfied with their service, efficiency, and willingness to explain problems and issues. read more

I called AIRCO because they sold me their AC 4 years ago, and one of my unit was not on. Called them and they sent a technician, from Iran, he figured that it was just a blockage of water which switched off the unit due to the float switch. Instead of pointing that to me and fixing it , he wanted the capacitor to be changed for $169, the cleaning quote was for $259 and some other for around a total of $500! All for a little water back up. I refused all the services, paid their visit cost of $89, and fixed it myself by blowing into the pipe hard and pouring bleach in it. What a rip off! Never call them, they are a rip off. read more

Tony Mejia did an excellent job advising me on a new Air Cond/Heating unit and Teo Arredondo and his crew did an outstanding job installing it. I'm glad the thermostat has an indicator light to indicate that the unit is running since it is so quiet I couldn't tell otherwise. My AC condensation pipe was completely backed up and needed to be flushed. Their tech arrived on time and seemed very professional, spending about an hour and a half working on the unit and inspecting everything inside and out. However, he couldn't find where the evaporator line exited the house. His solution? Install an external pump and run a whole new drain line. The rough estimate for that was, well, a hell of a lot more than the $15 fee they charged me just to come out and take a look. When he left, I still had the exact same broken AC, was stressing over an exorbitant bill to fix it, and somehow found out I'd been signed up for a $15-a-month service plan that entitled me to another check-up in six months just in time for winter. Hoping to just get it resolved, I reached out to Service Wizard via Yelp later that evening to see if they could come back today to do the work the tech recommended. I never got a response. Frustrated, I called a different AC company. They actually answered the phone, sent technicians out right on time today, and those guys spent **five minutes** at my house before finding the external line, repairing it, and flushing my system. Problem completely solved in under five minutes, and the fee was incredibly cheap compared to the massive quote I got from Service Wizard. I will definitely be canceling my $15-a-month contract with Service Wizard and won't be recommending them going forward. Save yourself the headache and call someone else!

He checked it out and the motor was bad. The motor itself was covered under warranty, so no charge for that. I had to pay for the labor. I keep the unit running most of the time. Over time, things need to be cleaned. The fan blade had become quite dirty over time. Wang and his assistant fully cleaned the whole unit, and replaced the motor. It is now fully clean and running like new. Cooling my whole shop very quickly. I can fully recommend Wang and Breeze Cooling and Heating for any HVAC needs you have.
