***Update*** I failed to mention the best part of our experience. We contacted them on a Saturday morning, and they were able to visit us the same day. That exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, we have had a lot of difficulties with our Samsung washer and dryer and have had to have both repaired, several times, over the past 4-5 years. A few months ago, Greentek repaired our dryer, and most recently, they came out to assess a persistent annoying problem we've had with our washer. Greentek advised us the cost to repair the washer was higher than what we wanted to pay. (The amount of the repair and the amount we put into repairing it in the past was going to exceed the cost of a new washer.) So, we declined to have Greentek repair the washer and decided to buy a new washer. (Not a Samsung!) Both experiences were positive and we have no complaints with Greentek. We all make mistakes and I was glad to hear that they stepped up by admitting there was fault. My part came in, they got installed and did a good job. Hour and 15 min. later, I called office to ask about the delay...they said they would contact tech. Got a text back saying that tech was on the way. Showed up hour+ later. Could not "fix" icemaker, need to order part. Sent me quote, I approved quote 4 days ago, haven't heard any response. Communication is key, have not experienced that. Repair tech was here 45 mins trying to determine the problem causing my washer to leak. Spent most of the time on his phone. Was super aggressive about me paying the diagnostic fee before he told me what was wrong with it. Figured out it was the water intake valve once invoice for diagnostic was received. We have a SMEG refrigerator and it was hard to find a company that works on that brand. When I reached out they had zero issues letting me know they could work on our refrigerator. They came out to run a diagnostic test and stood by the work letting me know if things still didn't work correctly they would come back out and run a few more test to find the problem. He reviewed information about my oven and determined that the cooling fan was not working. He said that he would need to look for the part and that the business would get back to me with a quote. They do charge a fee for the diagnostic but they subtract that amount if you choose to use them for the work. When I received the quote, I was pleased and wanted to set up an appointment to have the oven fixed. Kiryl came back out the next day. It didn't take him long to finish the job. I posted my requirements about the repair I needed. Greentek responded they would not replace my glass on my cooktop since it was operable. The problem was we were cutting our hands on the glass every time we moved a pot. We were worried that the glass would develop more cracks. Why did they answer my request if they wouldn't even consider it? The management called to apologize. Their apology was sincere and appeared to answer my question. My inquiry was "answered" by a new employee who was unaware. I am sure that given another opportunity Greentek would be a fine contact for us. Today I had issues with my fridge. I used the yelp system and it pinged 5 contractors and 2 ended up at my house. I'm a very busy woman, but sometimes one has to take the time to give credit where it is due. I thought my dryer's heating element was on the fritz as the dryer just wasn't getting warm enough to dry my clothes. The service person arrived at 4:00 on the DOT! He determined that my Electrical Breaker was faulty and it was not sending enough power to activate the heating element (that's a new one on me!-FYI, he was spot on correct about that diagnosis.) While he was checking out the "guts" of the dryer, he noticed a worn/exposed connecting wire that gave him pause. It gave me pause as well! I had him replace it (even though he told me it was still functional) $210.00-dryer repair/the visit cost was rolled in to the total) peace of mind? Priceless. Our fridge stopped being cold although it was running. Kiryl came out within a couple hours to diagnose it. It was the compressor. Apparently a common issue with LG fridges. He came out the next day to replace it for us. The fridge was getting colder but not as quickly as we thought it would so he came back out the third day to check everything again. Sent these folks to mom's house to evaluate a leak in the washing machine. They would not tell me what they found in their evaluation until I paid the diagnostic fee. Turns out the problem was not in the washer rather in the drain, so they would not be called to fix it in any case, but what was the harm in telling me that before I paid the diagnostic fee? Seems weird. Also have never ever had that response from a service firm. If they have such a stance on something simple, lord knows what they would do with a complex issue. Bad feeling on this one.
