Enrique immediately came and diagnosed a hot water heater leak that I only suspected and had it replaced within an hour -- even taking the time to drive out and get the part himself. The next morning, when a new flood appeared in the same spot, he came out on a Sunday and quickly discovered it was a completely unrelated leak from our main water entrance. (Back to back leaks? Toll Brothers developers are developing a huge area next to our street and have literally been geo-forming the earth--jack hammering through layers of karst that our homes are sitting on. We have seen emergency plumber trucks up and down our street lately...) Back to the good news! Because special adaptors were needed, the repair couldn't be completed that day -- but Enrique was back first thing Monday morning, crawling under an 18" space to replace half the distribution pipe connections. He explained every step, answered every question, and even gave great suggestions to improve our plumbing system long term. Professional, punctual, and exceptionally skilled -- Enrique goes above and beyond. Proven Plumbing & Air is lucky to have him, and we're lucky to have found him. Highest recommendation possible! I also want to give a special shout out to Yelp users for their excellent plumber recommendations! We couldn't have found Enrique with you, thank you!

From my initial interaction with the office representatives (Taylor, Dave Sr., and Dave Jr.) to the technicians who came out to my home (Nick, Jackie, and John Paul), the level of professionalism and care was outstanding. The team provided an in-depth assessment and diagnostic of all identified issues. Just as importantly, they took the time to clearly explain areas that were not a concern and documented a thorough review outlining why those aspects of the home were in good condition, information that will be extremely valuable for future home inspections or potential buyers. Each team member was knowledgeable, responsive, and thorough in addressing my concerns, making what could have been a stressful situation feel manageable and well-handled. When people speak of organizations that deliver top-tier service, this is exactly the kind of company they mean. AirCo has earned my trust and will be my first call for any future needs.

He charged $675 to fill coolant and run a leakage test when he knew there was a 90% chance beforehand my evaporator coil was leaking and it would not be worth replacing the evaporator coil for $4500. He only offered a $675 credit towards a new system after I complained. 2. When I texted him a question about the new system quotes last year, he ghosted. Yet he emailed me four days later asking if I was ready to purchase a $17k system. Four days to decide on a $17k system without answering questions or receive other bids is not enough time. He cares more about making the commission than answering questions. 3. Jon Paul kept pushing the top of the line variable Daikin for $17k. Yet Shields AC & Heating in Lockhart said the DH7VSA compressor has a lot of firmware and software bugs communicating with the thermostat. Shields said it's not worth all the rebates and incentives. 4. Airco only offers a three year labor warranty through Airco. Yet they do not tell you that Daikin and Goodman offer an extended ten year labor warranty through Asure for $850. Daikin owns Goodman. 5. Jon Paul's quote did not include new return and supply plenum, unless he didn't specify. He only mentioned spraying the existing supply plenum with mold killer. 6. Jon Paul did not suggest moving the entire system 3 - 4 feet in the attic to reduce static pressure. Three other companies suggested moving the entire system. 7. When I asked Jon Paul what the difference was between the $17k variable Daikin and $15k variable Daikin, his response was, "More features and stuff." I need someone more articulate. 8. Jon Paul did not run a Manual J test. Ultimately, we ended up paying $12.1k with Jurnee Mechanical for a variable Goodman GXV6S condenser which included new return and supply plenum, moving the entire system 3 - 4 feet in the attic, 10 year extended labor warranty through Trinity, free maintenance for two years, and Reme Halo UV light.

I was looking to replace my entire AC system which is why it's important to find the best in the business and rated the best. It's also important to find more than one 5* business so you can get a better picture and quotes for such an expensive endeavor which I found helpful. If you're going to go all the way with such an expense, it's best to educate yourself as much as possible, and there's lots of YouTube videos on AC repair and replacement which you should watch prior to making that decision. You really need to be an informed and educated customer or you might find yourself with an inferior or wrong system. I found that certain AC companies want the steer you to certain brands they represent, so you may wish to decide on a brand first. I found that the Carrier Infiniti system with its very high seer rating and variable speed was the perfect choice. More details on this system in the photos below. If you live in a two-story house like mine, you can expect the price to be much greater due to the fact that you have dampeners which will need to be fixed or replaced which greatly adds to the bill. As for my AC, it was over 20 years old, but still chugging along. However, I knew there was going to be new mandates in 2025 which would greatly add to the expense of AC replacement such as a new refrigerant which is slightly flammable called Puranovance. I replaced my old R22 compressor with the new R-410a which is still readily available, but will eventually be phased out many years from now. I also mistakenly thought you'd get a good deal by replacing it during the cool months, but apparently a lot of people were doing what I was doing so no break in the price. As a matter fact, the date of manufacture of my new Infiniti compressor was only just a couple weeks old before it was installed. After some back-and-forth on pricing, we finally decided on a date of installation. Carl and his crew showed up and had everything installed within six hours and hauled off the old units. We still needed some troubleshooting in order to dial-in the thermostats functioning properly, but everything works perfectly now and the temperature remains exactly as you set it throughout the house. Both the compressor and the blower motor are incredibly quiet. Since I knew I needed this replacement at some point, I had enough money in the bank to cut a check for the job. When you sign up for Carl's service, you get Carl in the equation. Check out the photos below which show you the equipment, specs and the pricing. Update: After 2 weeks the plenum did separate, but I was able to use foil tape to close up the 8" gap. Personally, I think a 30 day check up would be a good idea not just for Carl, but anyone who gets this kind of installation from whatever company you choose.

Thought it was my crazy neighbor banging his door closed, and forgot about it. Then I started to hear a buzzing every 5 minutes or so. Told my wife to check her phone, figuring that was vibrating. That wasn't it. I then thought hmm what could it be, and as I listened closer noticed it coming from outside where our AC unit is. Went and checked thermostat and saw it was at 78. Wife likes it on 72 and I can say this unit has been managing that this year with the lower summer temps. Went out and checked it and yes the fan was on but you could tell the compressor was trying to kick in and buzzing like missing a connection. Knowing from my past AC events and that pop, I figured and hoped it was the capacitor which is usually a quick fix. The unit was 4 years old, but I was not surprised being an electrical engineer and knowing how more of the solid state components added to these appliances don't last as long as old discrete mechanical ones. What happens in our throw away economy. That is why I was so glad we used Eric. He not only gave us a great deal and great service but he offered the best warranty around. Wife texted him Thursday morning and he showed up less than 30 minutes later. He worked for about 20 minutes knocked on the door and said it was a bad capacitor and all fixed, and reminded us to not touch the thermostat for the next day or so. We asked how much we owed him and he said, "No charge." Music to my wife and my ears. House was back down to 72 by mid day and everything back to normal. Everyone has anxiety when it is mid summer and AC goes out. Not us. With an expert like Mr. Fontaine, taking care of us, the worries are gone.

Unfortunately, we have had a lot of difficulties with our Samsung washer and dryer and have had to have both repaired, several times, over the past 4-5 years. A few months ago, Greentek repaired our dryer, and most recently, they came out to assess a persistent annoying problem we've had with our washer. Greentek advised us the cost to repair the washer was higher than what we wanted to pay. (The amount of the repair and the amount we put into repairing it in the past was going to exceed the cost of a new washer.) So, we declined to have Greentek repair the washer and decided to buy a new washer. (Not a Samsung!) Both experiences were positive and we have no complaints with Greentek.
