I love this Walmart! So far I always encountered friendly staff, it's open 24/7 so I enjoy going at night as well and it's conveniently located in the village amongst a lot of other stores. It's open 24 hours and the savings is substantial (especially when Similac Ready to Feed averages $9/quart at most stores and this Walmart sells it for $6.99), BUT it's not worth the risk of getting murdered in the parking lot for low prices, especially when the service at midnight is so shit that you wonder if the night crew is there out of some sense of indentured servitude. Fortunately, this Walmart has self-checkout, so you can zip in and out without the employees ever having to lift a middle finger. Everybody happy. Anyway, whenever I couldn't make Vons (which also sells formula for $6.99) before the 1am closing time, I'd hit this Walmart instead, but not anymore. Two weeks ago, a man parked one car away from mine was screaming and carrying on, and my precious ass got the F out. Where was security? Who the hell knows. I tried going there last weekend during the daytime to see if the experience was any better, and I hate myself for it. While the lines are always long, I still prefer to shop here over the other nearby Walmart locations. The products that I need are almost always in stock and the employees are friendlier. This is crazy, but try to shop in the early afternoons here. The early mornings have some weird shoppers and elderly customers that tend to block the aisles. Park in the back for an easier exit if you're in a rush. You can also go across the street to Target if Walmart doesn't have what you need. read more

I make evening forays into the shoppers Hell, known as the Orange Walmart, three times per week. Not sure where to start with this store. The vibe from the employees is a combination of anger, depression and outright despair. I frequently wonder if the employees are being compensated or if they are present under some sort of court ordered community service arrangement. In any case, I will address the more glaring issues that haunt this place. Inventory: All products now have the Universal Product Code (UPC- aka barcode) label attached. So when the item is run over the scanner at the checkout register, the computer "tells the store" that the item has been sold. So there is running tally of items sold, with the computer simply dictating what items are needed to keep the shelves stocked. Yet oddly, so frequently items are not in stock. A real mystery!!!! Thugs manning the exits to "prevent theft": Here is the deal- if the shopkeeper/guard suspects a person of theft, by all means, detain them for the real police to handle the matter. But don't rifle through bags or check receipts with zero basis to suspect theft. Apparently Walmart is not aware that a shopkeeper cannot detain, even for a few seconds, a shopper, without reasonable basis that they have pilfered an item. However because Walmart is the 800 pound gorilla on the block, they just kind of make the law up as they go. All in all, the prices at Walmart are excellent, but the unpleasantness to get the bargains is frequently not worth it. read more

Walmart has not posted my review I wrote almost one month ago about a product I bought. I will post the review here and anywhere else I can. I bought a Greenworks 5100402 13 Amp 1,700 PSI 1.2 GPM Electric Pressure Washer online and they did not offer site to store, but I was ok with that at first since it was on sale. I was advised when ordered by today I would get the item by the 28th of July. I checked a few days later and it changed to Monday the 31st, and I wondered why they are adding a whole extra weekend, but what could I do. By end of the week it was changed again to Tuesday August 1st. They really dont know what they are doing and their shipping practices are garbage. I should have just ordered from Amazon had it in a few days and been good to go. Learned a lesson and will be ever careful from ordering from them in the future. read more

Asian manager (or lead cashier?) in returns department on Friday night, January 18th, was rude and abrupt. He did nothing to accomodate our return (an unwanted gift without a receipt). We explained the item was online so he could see the price there but he just walked away. I mean I know they aren't Nordstrom or even Kohls or Target but he could have been more helpful. We would have accepted store credit and would have spent more. It reminds me why I hate going to Walmart unless I absolutely must. read more

Customer Service is horrible. Returned a Daisy BB Gun. (BB gun is plastic made for kids) BB Gun was broken. They acted as if I was going to gun them down the store. Had receipt from the day before and the young male employee in the customer service / returns calls a female MANAGER that knew absolutely nothing. She asked me where the BULLETS GO? What a joke. Bullets ! Its BBs and she didn't know how , where or how the plastic pump works ( that was broken ). After looking at the plastic gun she approved the return. Came into this store to do some last minute Christmas shopping this afternoon with my mom. We also picked up some holiday party necessities (I bought some wine, she got a pack of beer), and ended up ringing our purchases up separately. So, as we're getting ready to leave, my mom decides to go to the restroom and I told her that I would meet her at the car. However, when I got to the door, the little Hispanic woman that I could hardly understand asked to see my receipt for the beer. I explained to her that my mother had purchased it, and that she had run to the restroom and would be out shortly. The woman asked me to stand to the side until my mother arrived to verify that we had actually purchased the beer in the cart. I begrudgingly obliged. Several other women came up to the door with carts full of toys and Christmas gifts, and this woman working the door didn't check a single one of their receipts; instead, she smiled and waved them right out the door. Seriously. I asked the woman, "How do you decide what receipts get checked and which don't?", to which I never received a reply. After about 5 more carts (all being pushed by Hispanic mothers) were let through without having their receipts checked, I just walked out the door with my cart, the woman at the door behind me, yelling about how she would call the police. Call the police, sweetheart, my mom will come out with the receipt, and I can explain to the nice officers that I felt I was being profiled. Either check ALL receipts, or don't check any of them. Don't single me out and make my life harder because you have a terrible job. AVOID THIS STORE (AND WALMART IN GENERAL) AT ALL COSTS. read more

Everything is nearby this location....Rubio's, Chipotle, Oggie's, World Market, Sprout's, Best Buy...well, it is at the end of the Orange Mall (The Village at Orange) also right next door are several clothing, shoe & accessory shops. They have some great soft cookies, mini cupcakes and generic brands for everything that are usually just as good as the more expensive brands. They also take every manufacture coupon...which I get a lot of from the OC Register. The only thing I don't like is that when you are walking in, sometimes the wind blows the smell from the dumpsters...that's why it's not 5 stars. read more

ATTN: AS OF 06-05-19 THIS LOCATION AT LEAST, IS NOT SELLING AMMUNITION. The sign says they WILL sell it again in the future, but who knows. There is ANOTHER SIGN that reads they're not going to sell it from 07-01-19 for about 7 days. I couldn't ask my cashier about this as he did not speak English, and the lady scanning my receipt when I left the store DID speak English, but she had no idea why they had stopped selling it on 06-05-19 and made no effort to ask someone who might know. Seems like they'd WANT to take advantage of the CASH COW of people making a run on ammo last minute before July 1st. Not like they're real 2nd amendment friendly anyways. I recently discovered how bitchin a Super Wal-Mart can be, I love that store in Havasu. The grocery section is real nice too. I found an all-natural granola that I really like and it's only $4 for a 1# tub. So, I thought I'd give my local Wal-Mart a try. They had a few of the items but, LUCKILY, they didn't have the granola........why luckily you ask? Because now maybe I will never have to set foot in this HELLHOLE of a Wal-Mart ever again. God this place is a dump..........10PM on Sat and the place is a complete disaster. I give this store 4 stars - Why? Because everyone already knows that if you are going to a Wal-Mart one first must prepare themselves for a freak show and walk in there knowing you will be appalled at least half a dozen times - IT'S A WAL-MART - lower your standards for an hour and you'll be just fine. Change your state of mind and look at it not only as a shopping trip, but as entertainment! Being from Indiana where Wal-Marts are pristine and shiny, I moved here with a loyalty for their selection and low prices. In California, however, they seem to be a Mecca for people who are poor, on methamphetamine, have a dozen kids they can't afford to take to Disneyland so they bring them here to destroy the toy department, and the fat and lazy who go there because they provide scooters with carts because God forbid they get a little exercise, or maybe a combination of all the above. I shop at Wal-Mart because I know I will not find the products cheaper elsewhere, and if it does happen to be cheaper it's only a small percentage. I'm a slave to finding the best price. The checkout lines at this store are shorter than at other Wal-Marts, although there are usually 2-3 people ahead of me. Westminster store usually has 5 or 6 people in line. This is my preferred Wal-Mart compared to all the others in the area. Although I have been verbally accosted by a tattooed tweeker on a scooter wearing "Hello Kitty" pajamas at 5 in the evening, I keep going back, but only about once a month, that's all I can handle. read more
