It's one of the few 24 hour pharmacies in the area. They often take awhile to fill prescriptions, you can been waiting 1-2 hours to get a prescription filled, and often when you show up they haven't even started. When we came in they at least moved quickly at that point, but it would be easier to have it filled even within 30 minutes of the call. They are understaffed (1 pharmacist at night, and one person behind the counter). Don't bother trying to call, you wait on hold for 15 minutes and no one will even pick up. I AM SO F****** OVER THE WAY I'M TREATED HERE. PLEASE READ THIS. I don't want this to happen to any one else! PRIOR to the security guard being hired at this store, I enjoyed shopping here. This was the perfect spot for me to come in super late at night after work. Nothing else is open! Tonight was the final straw. I almost didn't even stop in because I didn't want to deal with the rude, not to mention CREEPY security guard. I was in the store for about 10 minutes shopping, and the security guard passed me TWICE within this time span without saying anything--- even though I greeted him with a "good morning". I was bent down to look at a product (in a squatting position), and the security guard decided to come at me, demanding that I leave my bag up at the front counter. When he approached me, HIS CROTCH WAS LEVEL WITH MY FACE. I stood and backed up, just trying to get the guy out of my personal bubble. NOPE. He continued to invade my space. I told him I was done shopping (at that point, hell yeah I was) and that I'd be on my way to the front register. He followed me the entire way, practically "escorting" me to the register. As the cashier checked me out, he stood about 5 ft away. A huge string of drool came flying out of his mouth when he was speaking to the clerk--- WTF?? The front cashier was super sweet and has always been every time I've visited--- he's also the only one who tells me I have reward points to spend. With the security guard-- I'M DONE. I'm starting to wonder if it's a race thing. I don't get it, because there are other patrons in the store and I feel like he makes a point to mess with me. My prescription was sent in at 8AM I went in at 7pm and it was not ready... this is after waiting for over an hour in like, and having to demand additional assistance because the line was so long. When no one was helping at the front, all of a sudden 4 people came to help. The system they have is horrendous and there needs to be a massive change in the way that pharmacy operates. Went with a friend to get some money at Western Union and the worker and the manager said "we.re closed". My friend said that on yelp it says you close at 9 and the worker said "it's past 9" and proceeds to look at a clock on the wall that is something like 15 minutes fast. The funny part is the manager as well was right there trying to tell us it was past 9 I told them it's 8:55, and the worker said "there are no guarantees". This is the worst pharmacy EVER . I have already transferred my daughter's and will be transferring mines today. I have been calling since Monday ( today is Thursday) to see if my medicine was ready. I could never get anyone on the phone except once and it was an outside technician who was completely CLUELESS . She transferred me to the store where I remained on hold for 45 minutes with them picking up the phone several times putting me back on hold then eventually I was hung up on. I have experienced this everyday this week , this morning I go there at 6:45 to be told my medicine still wasn't authorized which is why I had been calling. I go to my doctor's office and they state that they too have been placed on hold and then hung up on. I get the issue finally resolved with my insurance and my insurance calls with me on the phone to try to have them process which they too were left on hold and put back on hold several times until they were eventually transferred to a Customer service survey without ever receiving any type of CUSTOMER SERVICE UNBELIEVABLE ! So now I'm FORCED to go after work today or before work tomorrow most likely because whenever I go after I wait nothing less than 30 minutes EVERYTIME ABSURD whether I do the drive thru or go inside. My wife and I went here on Monday to pick up some birthday party invitations. I like the exterior. The one on the far left mentions that this location features the only 24 hour pharmacy in San Leandro. The other marquees promote sales. The store is huge. I noticed that right away. The Photo Center: Although he greeted us when we arrived at the counter, my wife found the cashier to be "mediocre." He was quick, but seemed sleepy and disinterested, as if he had just attended a long lecture. With tax, we paid $54.35 for 25 invitations. We thought that they would look a bit different, but they're nice and worth what we paid for them. We spent a few minutes looking around for some cherry candy for my mom (she wants to place the candy on top of some cupcakes). The candy selection here is great, but we were out of luck (I knew that our chances of finding the candy were 50-50). I think two teenage girls thought that I was checking them out, but I wasn't. One of them had a nice ass, but I just noticed it by accident. A lot of holiday items are sold here (the Valentine's Day items take up a whole aisle). As another reviewer indicates, you can also find a lot of beauty products. The prices at any Walgreens are okay, but not great. There are always some items on sale, though. I've been a loyal Walgreens pharmacy customer for decades, but this experience has me considering switching to another pharmacy. With covid, my usual store in Hayward kept closing early without notice and had adopted more restrictive hours such that it became harder and harder to pick up prescriptions. And forget about getting a person on the phone, they seem just to disconnect you when you've been waiting too long. Last month I picked up a scrip the day I was completely out because I couldn't get to my local store and have them actually be open. I tried switching to this store for my last round of refills. They told me that even though my insurance would cover the refill, they wouldn't dispense it until 30 days after my last pickup (this is the actually the fourth story they gave me, they initially told me they'd already given me a 90-day supply last month which wasn't true, then they said I had no refills so they were waiting on the doctor to refill it which wasn't true, then they said my insurance wouldn't cover it which wasn't true). So apparently, according to their most recent story, because of covid closures leading to me being unable to pick up my scrip one time until the day I was completely out, for the rest of my life I'll be picking it up the day I'm completely out and not one minute earlier. On top of it, when I talked to a person on the phone yesterday, they said I could pick it up today, and I got a text saying it was ready for pickup, so I made yet another trip down there and waited almost an hour in line to be told they filled it, my insurance said they already paid out for it, but they wouldn't give it to me. I've been incredibly patient with covid short staffing, long lines, etc., but with this, honestly I'm done with this store forever and possibly with Walgreens. I just don't understand how you can treat people like that. read more

I've NEVER seen a pharmacist who doesn't want to help customers/patients get well. The only reason I ended up at this pharmacy is because my local Walgreens was out of my fathers medication. I absolutely HATE that I have to use this Walgreens and consistently have bad experience after bad experience with their pharmacy. It is just unreal the number of errors, delays and hours of my life that have taken place in this hellish store. Unfortunately, this is the closest 24-hour pharmacy nearby so I am pretty much stuck using this pharmacy most of the time. If you have young kids you know they usually can't wait until business hours for doctor visits or medication which means very late / very early trips to a pharmacy. My wife and I also have chronic conditions that are managed through daily medication. Nothing serious as long as you take your meds, which this Walgreens has made a challenge for me. God, I hate that this place is a necessary evil. I couldn't possibly share all the stories of things that have gone wrong and all the hours I've spent waiting in this place instead, here are some highlights: - Despite your best efforts to show up with everything they need to do their jobs quickly and efficiently, they WILL take the most amount of time possible to fill your prescription. It is always best to be proactive and have everything ready ahead of time, just don't be disappointed when you realize the staff still took way longer than they should. - NEVER trust their estimate. They say an hour, show up in 2.5 hours. They say a general "later today", show up tomorrow. It will not be ready if you show up at the promised time. They are evil, evil, liars who feed on the hours of your life you will never get back. - Be prepared to walk among ghetto, rude, shady people. From the parking lot full of trash & people loitering, to the pharmacy area where you are occasionally treated to a full-own Broadway production of someone going bad on the person behind the counter because their insurance doesn't cover something or their paperwork isn't correct / legal. I always have a pocket knife when I go to the this place at night -- that is not a joke. I'm serious. - The staff could really care less. I've had people in my family, myself included, go without medication up to a day because they screwed up and just didn't care. No rush, no sense of urgency, if you complain their eyes gloss over as they stare into space, nod their head "yes" while you explain the problem and then regurgitate words that have been programmed into them that may sound concerned but really translate to "We don't give a shit. I am counting the 2 hours, 17 minutes until I can punch out and go home so please go away". - I try to call and make sure they have actually filled the prescription before I waste my time heading over there. They have only lied to me a couple times so I'm pretty happy with this process. Be prepared to spend about 15 minutes on hold on average. My personal all time record was 37 minutes and guess what - prescription still wasn't ready so it probably saved me 45 minutes in line only to be told it wasn't ready yet so I'd say this is the way to go. - The people working the front counter are so painstakingly slow. I make sure I speak slowly and clearly and loudly in American English and yet they still always look confused like it's their first day on the job. They slowly one-finger type on their keyboards, rummage around in the prescription bins which are sorted alphabetically, which is sometimes a challenge for them. I try to proactively point them to the bin where the prescription should be like a game show. When it's not where it should be we all have a good laugh then they go dig through some additional bins behind the counter and back by the pharmacist. Good times. - The drive through is like playing roulette. The pharmacy drive through should be for pick ups and drop offs. But when you decide to use the drive through you are taking the chance the people in front of you have their shit together which is hit and miss. I've seen people damn near apply for a second mortgage in the drive through. When it's not a simple pick up or drop off they need to ask them to come inside and sort it out but they don't. Instead, they'll hold everyone up and back up everyone else in line to work through some insurance issue for an expired prescription in someone else's name etc., etc. If I'm feeling lucky I'll do the drive through. Believe me, unless you have to get a prescription filled or picked up outside of normal business hours or it's an emergency stay away from this place. Whenever possible I go across the street to CVS in the Greenhouse shopping center. If you do have to use this Walgreens, look for me and say hello. I'll be the guy sitting in the waiting area of the pharmacy with the haunting look of dispare in my eyes as the walls of this Walgreens claims victim to more hours of my life and soul. read more

The pharmacy manager does an excellent job with her staff in training apparently as they all understand that customer needs are a priority especially in a 24/7 hour pharmacy that is usually very busy. Mistakes happen everywhere, no business is immune and HOW a business rights a wrong is imperative to customer satisfaction. Walked into the store and noticed it's not busy... however it's hard to find anyone on the floor who is willing to offer help. I walk passed the same lady at least four times and she make no attempt to ask me if I needed help. Several people came over the loud speaker asking for different staff members. That same lady who I walked passed expressed her irritation so loud I was embarrassed. Not going to mention her name however she is working in the cosmetics area. (1-23-2020)I went to this pharmacy today for a flu shot! After waiting in liine for 15 minutes, I was told to have a seat and the pharmacist will be with me in 25-30 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes, I asked again how much longer. I was then told, they didn't know how much longer I had to wait & the pharmacist will get to me when he can! I found that totally unacceptable & told them to cancel the flu shot! I then went across the street to CVS Pharmacy, & they took care of me within 5 minutes!!! Cvs was professional & courteous! Everyone there was smiling, compare to the angry, dusgruntled employees at Walgreens, who seemed to all be pissed off because they weren't getting their breaks! While I was at CVS, I noticed customers were being served quickly & efficiently, while the customers at Walgreens were all told to either wait, or come back in a few hours! Which I think is ridiculous! After today, I'm never going to back to Walgreens ever again. From this day on, CVS got all my business! I hit up my neighborhood Walgreens for everything from Band-Aids to road trip snacks to the last-minute gift card for a birthday. It's open 24 hours and is conveniently located within a mile from my house so I can stop in before work, after work, even during one of my weekend jogs. Many of the employees have worked there for years so they greet you with genuine warmth. Extra props to manager Adrian, one of my former students(yes I'm that old), who greets his regulars in English or Spanish. Typical Walgreen store with a drive thru pharmacy. It is open 24 hours which is great for a late night run for medicine or milk. I have found the prices to be a little high on some items. They have everything but not a wide selection. You will find what your looking for but it might not be a particular brand. There is also a photo center that does some of the projects in-house. They no longer sell liquor. Plenty of parking, great location and close to the 238 and 880 freeways. read more

Ah Walgreens. I love how you're open 24 hours. I typically come here if I need something last minute and every other place is closed. The lines here can be tedious most of the times and it can get frustrating. They have a drive thru pharmacy too which can be very convenient so you don't have to get out of the car either. The don't quite enjoy how parking can be a reeeal pain sometimes. I don't mind parking on the side and walking in, but I swear people don't like parking anywhere else but the front and will wait and wait and wait for a spot which can cause major traffic pains sometimes, especially when I just want to get in and get my stuff. read more

My local Walgreens looks like a movie theater from the outside. Open 24 hours a day and super convenient when you have a cold and are in need of cough drops and anti-sick type medicine. A good one-stop kind of place with a good selection of both over the counter drugs and snacks, including they're own magazine rack! There are way too many parking spots in the lot, so spot availability should never be a problem. The staff is pretty nice. Some of the things here seem overpriced when comparing them to Walmart but I would gladly pay a bit more in order to be in and out quick from a store. When I've gone I've always been able to find what I need, there's always a worker around the cosmetics area ready to help you check out faster at their register and the workers have offered me coupons I didn't even know they had. I've probably only used their pharmacy services twice but that was easy and straight to the point as well. They've helped with recommendations to illnesses as well. I've developed tons of photos from them as well. I go online and upload my pics, get a time letting me know when they're available and its that easy. Just look out for the good deals! I developed about 400 photos from vacation to fill up an album and I paid $40. read more

My homegirls car window was shatterd and purse stolen just this year right in front of the store ,and the last time i went to pick up my perscription walked up to my car while this unruly looking man was trying to lean on my car door and looked as if he was trying to break in . when i excused myself to get yo my car door. I'll preface this by pointing out that my concerns may be due to something outside of this particular store's control, but don't see another way to provide this feedback. I was in search of a 24 hour photo printing store, and had used Walgreens in the past for this so I looked up the nearest one online that was advertised as providing 24 hour photo services. I customized my print order online at around 10pm, selected this store since it was the only one in my area listed on the Walgreens website as having 24 hour photo service, and was pleased to see that the estimated pickup time was in under an hour (~10:45p). Drove over to pick up my order, and found that the photo area wasn't staffed. Asked the store manager for help (which to her credit she did offer after some persuasion), but she told me that their photo team leaves by 10pm, and that I would have to come back in the morning. Walgreens management: please either keep your website information current, or ensure that your stores are staffed accordingly to prevent frustrated customers from ending their business with you. I understand that brick and mortar stores are struggling to combat online stores, and services like same-day pickup should help. But, situations like these where you don't live up to expectations push customers further away. read more
