Decent store!! Small parking lot but the store is clean and organized!! I usually come here for vitamins, deodorant, or snacks.. They have a good variety of vitamins, lots of sales. The only drawback to this store is that San Leandro High School is literally next door and across the street. So I avoid this store when school gets out, and at least 2 hours after that just to be sure. They usually have security at the door, I think mostly for the high schoolers. For Pharmacy - so unorganized. The wait time is literally from cashier lookimng formpeoples medications. They fill the prescription then dont know where they put it. This pharmacy is worse than those I've been at in rural Virginia. Pharmacist and pharmacy techs are dismissive and will leave you on hold if you call, make you wait for hours to fill your medication, and seldom have the drive-thru open. Not including the thin parking spaces, hordes of littering high schoolers and vagrants, and lack of stocked shelves in the store, I (who lives rather close) would not recommend anyone to spend money at this location if they value safety, cleanliness, and customer service. read more

Very unprofessional clerk named Jazmin. I ordered online to be picked up in this location, showed her the email that it's ready for pick since a day before but she said it's not there. My hubby came back with me to talk to a supervisor but the african american lady clerk helped us and it was just there. Jazmin had to lie since she's lazy looking for my package. If not for the fact that Walgreen's is providing potentially life saving drugs in the form of a third Covid-19 shot, this review would read a bit differently. It's the pharmacy being understaffed that leads to the steam coming off of all the head of the people waiting in a very slow moving line. Us? We're fine but I wouldn't use this pharmacy for any other reason ever ever ever. The rest of the store has the usual stuff except most anything of value is not on display. I gave them my ID, tracking number , and original receipt of purchase all showing my name & address. I made an appointment to have a Covid test at 3:45. There's a long line through the drive thru and the email specifically says you can't walk in, have to wait in the drive thru. I call the store to see if I can walk in and they say no, I just have to wait and they'll still take me, just people come and their prescription isn't ready. Over a 15 minute wait and I haven't moved at all. No point in making an appointment, they won't honor your time. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. TAKE YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS ELSEWHERE! Yesterday I came to fill a prescription and got an email notification a couple hours later that it was ready. Today I go to pick it up and they tell me it's not ready and to come back in two hours! I was livid. I showed them the notification I received yesterday and the guy at the counter said something along the lines of "they must have just placed the order. It's not ready yet." That wasn't an adequate response given that the notification stated that the prescription was READY for pick-up. I was frustrated so I told him to give me my prescription back so that I could go to a different pharmacy. He told me to wait a sec and then came back and asked if I could wait ten minutes while they fill my prescription. It's absolutely ridiculous that I had to threaten to take my business elsewhere for them to decide to fill my prescription ASAP, a solution that should have been presented to me as soon as they realized that they messed up. While waiting for my prescription, I heard an elderly woman who was behind me in line ask the guy at the counter for her automatic refill. He told her the order wasn't placed yet and if she could come back tomorrow. She was frustrated. She told them to get their act together so that she doesn't have to waste time in line only for them to tell her her automatic refill wasn't ready. She told them it's automatic for a reason. So not only did I receive horrible service, a lady behind me had issues with them too. This is enough for me to never go there again once my current prescription refills are done. I also didn't receive an apology from them for their mistake. I strongly recommend you don't waste your time here. read more

Before taking a cruise to the Bahamas I scheduled and took a COVID test which is a requirement to board the ship. After I got to Miami I checked my test results and they were inconclusive. Do not trust this pharmacy for your COVID test. I had to pay extra $200 for a new test before I was able to board the ship. Terrible service I see why this place has bad reviews!!!! read more

I jump on the phone and the person on the phone says they have a prescription for me. If a pharmacy can't even find people's prescription, I don't trust they have the competence to fill prescriptions properly. Total fail. read more

It was T-mobile Tuesday & I received a reward to get 10 photos printed out for free. I uploaded the photos around 7:45pm to be printed, then I received a confirmation email stating that my photos will be ready for pick up by 9:04pm same day. I was so excited because I was finally able to print some pictures I've longed been wanting to print. I eventually drove out to Walgreens around 8:55pm to pick up my photos. Once I got there the lady at the dept told me that the photo dept closes at 9:00pm. I was like well then why did u guys email me stating that it's ready for pick up by 9:04pm. Judging by her tone of voice she was not that friendly. It almost felt like she was giving me an attitude. Then I go onto my phone to check the store hours of operation & seen that the pharmacy closes at 9pm; however, the store & photo dept closes at 10pm. I went back to her & I was furious because it felt like a real inconvenience to for me to travel out there wasting my time & travel cost i.e (gas.) She said it has been like that for a year now & I can come back to speak with the store manager tomorrow morning. I understand she's tired & probably wanting to go home, but she could've at least try to be a more helpful. Walgreen seriously needs to clarify on their website what their correct hours of operations are & especially for each department if they're not all closed at the same time. I have had schedule my daughters vaccine shot for 1pm and me and the kids have been waiting for almost an hour and they have closed the pharmacy spot. They are understaffed here and needs better time management for each individual appointment. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It explains why it has so much low ratings. This is one of my favorite local Walgreens. It's nice size, clean and they actually have advertised products. I've experienced at other Walgreens that items mentioned in the weekly ad, they didn't have the products. The only thing I find annoying is when I go after work, right when school is let out and all the teeney-boppers from San Leandro High are crowding the door way. Apparently they have a limit of students that they let in, and they have to leave their bags at the front door. You know how the story goes. But they're just your typical annoying teenagers and just in the way. So if you plan to go during the week don't go during the 3 o'clock hour. read more

I scheduled my covid booster at Walgreens since it was the only place where there were appointments. I guess I now know why. I was 20 minutes early to my appointments but stood in line for 45 minutes waiting to talk to someone at the pharmacy. Once I got through I was instructed to wait for them to call me for my shot.. right now I'm the only one waiting for my booster (everyone else is picking up prescriptions). They ask you to make a COVID-19 vaccine online & pic a time slot. When u get there, you have to wait at least 20 minutes for them to check you in then u have to wait another 20-30 minutes to get your shot. No wonder not everyone is not vaccinated. Our working people do not have an hour to waste to wait to be vaccinated after they made an appointment. Why do you make us make an appointment if u can not vaccinate us. This is for the phot dept. I sent in a order about 300 pictures. When I went to pick them up... the first few pictures were fine. Once I got home I went though all 300 and about 250 of them had three lines going across. (Machine problem?) So I took them back and the guy said he would reprint them. Once he started to print them I wanted to see a few of them to make sure they are good. He showed me the photos and they all had a white line border on the left side. I explained to the guy that if I am paying for these in full I should receive good quality pictures. He called the assistant manager who told me that's the pay I submitted my photos which is not true. I made sure my pictures were sent correctly and had them on my phone as proof that they don't have a border! She kept saying it was my fault. After about 15 minutes john gave me two options they cut all 300 or give me employee discount. The discount is what I took. I came to pick them up and a young man was working there. He gave me a 10% discount and I was told it would be 25 but I didn't complaint because this was just a horrible experience with the photo department. I wish the managers had better customer service skills and listened to the customer. I didn't even get all my photos. read more

In general, I think Walgreens is the most unorganized store. It's super slow and the employees just don't know what's going on. This Walgreens photo Dept lost my photos even though I ordered it on the same day. So they have to reprint the photos bc they can't find it. So it takes 10x longer!!! This pharmacy has to be the absolute worst all around, the lady who "helped" is was unbelievably rude, suffers from power trips and most importantly should not be a supervisor. First I called, the hold music would cut out the phone would ring, someone would answer then place me back on hold. This happened 6 times before they eventually just hung up on me. So when I finally went in I already had low expectations, but I guess I shouldn't have had any expectations. When I arrived I explained that my insurance company notified me they sent them a letter of reimbursement because Walgreens made a mistake and shouldn't have charged me for my daughter's prescription. The lady told me they didn't receive anything, so I politely asked if she could at least check if they did not just dismiss me. She rolled her eyes and said " I'm the supervisor we didn't receive anything" in which I replied, I have a copy of it and it's dated over 3 weeks ago so if she could please check, as I have been waiting close to 2 years for this issue for be resolved. She rolled her eyes again and raised her voice and repeats " I said we didn't receive anything, did you need anything else we are busy " Never have I ever experienced such horrible customer service and lack of professionalism. We live within walking distance of this location and have relied on them heavily for random things over the years... Last minute gifts, ice cream runs, replacement mascara, photo developing & more. It's Walgreens, not luxury shopping. The staff deals with some ruckus kids from SLHS, so IMO they deserve to be exhausted a bit. I try to be friendly and they're almost always lovely in return. Ya get what ya give! I have to rave about the pharmacy for a minute. I came down with a horrible illness one night and called Kaiser desperate around 8:30pm to speak with a doctor over the phone... After a 15 minute consult, doc offered to send a prescription out for our pick-up, wherever was convenient. Insert: WALGREENS. My partner ran over and ten minutes to closing the pharmacy saved us $180 by offering the generic version in a mini-fill instead of full prescription, suggesting that often one pill did the deed. By 9:15pm I was sleeping peacefully and able to avoid the ER. All hail, Walgreens. Ya got me there. read more

Had to go in store anyway, still not sure why. Initially told to have id ready and it was. Said I had to come in because I purchased cough syrup.
