Wow I havent been to this location since pre covid. I needed to make some prints for my son's school project and was happy to know I voted order online and they would be ready in a few hours. I decided to go within the hour and the store was packed. By the time, it was my turn Josh greeted me and went to check. He did let me know I had 3 orders ahead and hopefully within 15 minutes. I thanked him and decided to come back later. I arrived an hour an dome change later and Josh once again greeted me and remembered me name which I was impressed. No wonder he is the shift Supervisor. Today I went into this location after two months. The reason I stopped going to this location. One morning after 8 AM I was there to pick up photos. The same reason why I was there today other CVS on East 14th in San Leandro aren't taking photo orders at this time. Two months ago it was one employee there on this Tuesday morning . It was myself and a delivery driver. I went to the lottery machine and I started scanning the scratchers that were thrown away in trash can. employee older woman looked at me & had a tone I disliked. With her tone, you would think I was stealing something from the store. she was saying you can't do that scratches already been scanned which was not true but I wasn't going to correct female employee. The delivery driver looked over at me & She walked over, took the wastebasket and put it behind the counter. Employee cashier number is 158-7664/ REG#01/ STR#9876. I use to always go to Walgreen before because of family, and it would always take hours to get a shot - longer for prescription. But for CVS, they have a great shot program and the NP/Pharmacist never takes long. For prescription it only took 30 minutes which is extremely fast; short enough to grab some food nearby and do shopping. read more

This is a decent CVS, with all the usual stuff drugstores have. They almost always have a security guard in here, so there's that. Nothing here really stands out, the service is ok and the store itself pretty basic. They do go all in with the Holidays, there were some good Halloween items in here, I almost bought one. This place continues to be trash service!!! This is for the pharmacy. Waited in the damn line for about 40min only 4 people in front of me. Then when I get to the front of the line woman says there ya boring ready for me. I team her I got a text 2 days ago saying that it is ready. She said that the notes in the system say the set it back to stock because I didn't pick it up!! I said OK I'm here now can I get it refilled... She told me straight NO because we close in 10min!!! WTF that got to do with me right now!!! If I'm calling using a phone, it's because I need to. Your app is inadequate. Your phone robot is too stupid to handle spoken requests. It takes forever to talk to someone and instead I just have to listen to a robot that's programmed to be completely oblivious to how useless it is. I am calling to speak with a pharmacist. Again. Just spot some Cremo shampoo here - that is becoming impossible to find. Every other place has the 2 in 1 variety that I have no interest in. Usually it goes for $7 but I was happy to pay $10 not to have to deal with shipping. I have a prescription for an ADD medication, prescribed by a psychiatrist. This is the second time I have picked it up from this particular pharmacy, and both times I've had a less than positive experience. However, this most recent time was bad enough to motivate me to write this review. Many ADD medications are stimulants and are sometimes abused (I've learned recently) - as are other prescription drugs. However, when somebody walks into a pharmacy to pick up their prescription, maybe trying a new medication for the first or second time to figure out what works for them, it seems a modicum of professionalism and empathy should be displayed. This particular medication is exorbitantly expensive. Hundreds of dollars for one month supply, and due to my particular plan and benefits, I don't have any money taken off. I have found a few coupons from the drug manufacturer as well as other sites that offer discounts, and I've asked them to try them both visits. Again, at the advice of my medical professional. This time, the woman working looked at me, loudly announced 'this is a controlled substance' that carried around us, for others in line the store to hear. Honestly, I don't really care. I don't care what others may think of me, I DEFINITELY don't care what she thinks of me, but I do care that she does her job well and treats patients with respect. It's an important job, and people deserve the respect, privacy, and compassion one would expect from that type of job. I also had my young child with me, who asked later what was going on. Interestingly enough, the coupon was already applied to this refill, though it certainly was not applied on my previous visit. Even though she had "checked it" twice. It's a difference of over $100. I'm certain I'm not alone in saying I'm not excited to have the disorder for which I need the medication. I'm not excited to live in a country where I can't get that medication for a reasonable price. But I certainly don't need to be shamed or have it implied that I am abusing it by pharmacy professionals. I will not be returning. There are plenty of other pharmacies that do not employ people like this, and I will be going there for my future needs. read more

My experience: I buy 50 dollar apple gift card, but when I open I saw two missing number, First I thought is my problem, but when I buy again I think is not my problem I open in front the the cashier face and this prove this is not my problem. With the CVS app, I've utilized the coupons and been able to save a whole lot more! 40% off, 5.00 coupons....the savings add up. This location tries their best to keep the store organized. Although the makeup and nail items always look bare. Make sure to check the makeup, sometimes you will have a few inconsiderate people try them and place them back. (how rude) Compared to other CVS locations, this is one of the more decent ones. Decent holiday selection items. I can always rely on this place for holiday candy...i.e Christmas, Valentines....The staff are always willing to help and the security guard is posted right at the front. EVERY TIME i make an online request for delivery - by clicking on the text link CVS SENDS ME to get to its website - it does not ship. THEN, days later, after realizing I don't have it yet, I need to pick up the phone and find out where it is. On my last follow-up call (after being on hold for the usual ridiculous amount of time) I was told even tho i put in a delivery request on the website I am ALSO expected to call the delivery order in. On the rx order before that, I was told the reason it wasn't delivered was they needed payment info, when they ALREADY HAVE IT IN THEIR SYSTEM. Please tell me, CVS, WHAT is the POINT of having an online delivery order feature when we have to back up every order with a phone call??? Come on, you've got the competition of TWO other pharmacies within a mile from you. One, Walgreens, is right across the street! The manager/supervisor of this store is a disaster! If you win a lottery or scratcher, DON'T redeem it here!!!! The staff scanned my scratcher and was ready to give me the cash. Then the coworker asked her if they had enough cash in the drawer. It was a $500 scratcher only and we can redeem iThet any participating retailer as indicated on the scratcher. The staff said they had enough but needed to ask the manager. When the manager came out, she told us this is a small store so they don't have $500 cash. ARE YOU SERIOUS????? A small store with over 2000 sqft??? I wondered what the "BIG" store would look like. Then she passed back the ticket and the receipt to us. When I saw the receipt, I was confused because if nothing was processed, We shouldn't have the receipt, so I asked her again if the money was still in the ticket. She said yes because they didn't do anything to the ticket. I left and went to Safeway to scan the ticket and see if the money was inside. APPARENTLY, the ticket was CASHED!!!! I went back to CVS and walked to the manager directly and questioned her the whole thing. She then took the ticket and the receipt and checked. I saw her talk to the staff and then took $500 out of the cash drawer, and said "come over here." I knew she was talking to me but I didn't move at all. Where is your manner???? My prescription recently got filled here. I have a cvs/caremark app tied to my prescriptions and it told me that the medicine I needed is Out of Stock and is in order. It said if I needed the item right away then to call them and to have them locate another pharmacy with it in stock. Sounds simple enough right? NO. Because this CVS' Pharmacy never answers their phone! I've been calling for the past 2 days every other hour! At first I gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they were just busy, but they never answered once! I waited as long as 30 minutes and still no answer. When it was to my turn, the girl told me that I was in a different line which I didn't know and the other line is closed! And it's 15 minutes before 7pm. That is not right! High turnover and new employees are incompetent. I sat on the phone for an hour and a half and the lady would not even look up my RX number she said she wouldn't do it. Came here to pick up some medications for my mother from the pharmacy and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. There was one other person in line ahead of me, which was not bad at all. Everyone was good about wearing their masks and the register at the front had hand sanitizers. Upon walking up to the counter told them my last name then paid for the medication and left. Super fast and I am glad I came at the right time. The line can take a while sometimes and also they can be backed up but not today. Customer services were great! Making the appointment is useless because when you show up they tell you they can't find you in the system or they ran out of the vaccines weeks ago. Try going to another place like Walgreens. Living in the neighborhood this CVS used to be my local pharmacy for years, and usually I've been able to drop in and find some gems throughout the store but I will not support this CVS again. As I was checking out today, 3 young Black people walked into the store together. Immediately after they walked through the doors the 2 checkers called to have "customer service scan the aisles." They literally had JUST walked into the store. As they were both watching the group one female clerk with attitude mentioned, "they went straight to the alcohol aisle" like there's a problem with browsing the humongous alcohol selection that is for sale?? I asked the clerk if they had previously stole from this store to deserve such blatant discrimination, he did not have an answer and instead he just looked down and away like what I was saying was irrelevant. There was a particular item that I really wanted from CVS but after going to 4 different locations, I was about to give up on this hunt. A few days ago, I had texted my cousin to see if she can help me locate this item. Coincidentally, she and her husband went to a nearby boba shop in the same plaza and saw this location. She walked in and was able to find what I wanted. She immediately texted me and called me to let me know. I literally showed up a few hours later. I walked around the store and grabbed everything I wanted. Then I proceeded to locate the Redbox to check the prices. The only working Redbox was literally by the front door, right at the corner by the cashier. The first time I went to check prices, the cashier made small talk with me. While chatting with him, I had him help me check a price since one of the barcodes won't scan. Then I left and walked around a little bit more. When I was finally ready to check out, another employee showed up to help me check out. Both cashiers were super friendly. Another plus is that the shelves are fully stocked. I found everything I wanted plus more. Even though this is a busy plaza, there's plenty of parking spaces to choose from. read more

I am switching pharmacies after today. The staff shortage at the pharmacy counter is ridiculous. Came in the afternoon to pick up a prescription sent by my doctor yesterday, and it's still not ready. Not only that, but I had to wait for the pharmacist to give shots to all the friggen people coming in for vaccines before they would go work on my prescription. Been waiting here for 30 minutes already and they're still giving shots. Jeezus. Then when they finally called my name, instead of helping me next they made me go behind the person in line. Completely unprofessional. You'd better hope you're not deathly ill waiting for your medicine cuz you might keel over before you get it. HORRIBLE pharmacy service. (some reviews mention pricing irregularites) friendly service, nice ambience, will probably return to source other items but will watch the prices. afterall, overpaying will deterioate my froyo adventures. not good. read more

I am a frequent shopper at CVS, especially this location and at the Fremont Hub. Yes, I will drive more than 20 minutes to the Hub store if this CVS is out of stock of sale items (most of the time, it's out of stock there too). The negative to this store at the Greenhouse is when there's a sale, they are out of stock BEFORE the sale begins on their good deals. They don't carry a large inventory of one item. It's normally one or two of a particular razor or vitamin, etc. I will give kudos to Melody & Sandy (managers); and, a couple of the cashiers are friendly & knowledgeable (Martin & Cora). Honestly, I shop where I receive awesome customer service and receive it at this particular CVS most of the time. I miss when this store was Longs...long ago. I haven't adjusted to the layout and it seems like it is pretty empty. Yes, it is convenient when I'm only needing a couple of items. The prices are more expensive when compared to Target, not a lot of options but they will most likely have what you need. The employees seem to be okay, not friendly but get the job done. There is always a line and only one check stand open without fail every time I have shopped here. Maybe I have horrible timing or they need more staff. I don't know what's happening with the pharmacists and techs; but they were very unprofessional, incompetent, and rude today. When I asked Jing (the pharmacist who was actually wearing her name tag) the names of the two techs that provided horrible service, she asked me, "Why?" with attitude. I told her so that others could know my experience with her, Sophia, and Irene. With 3 techs and 1 pharmacist, you think the line would be moving fast; but they just let the line go at least 10 deep with customers. I had to wait 45 min for my prescriptions because the 1st tech (Sophia or Irene...the techs weren't wearing name tags as they should have been) couldn't help me without the pharmacist being there (the 1 and only pharmacist was at lunch). What about making sure there's another pharmacist there, so as not to waste customers' times? Redundancy! Jing blamed corporate for not having a 2nd pharmacist there. The 2nd tech was just super rude. She had attitude when I told her I preferred she not touch my license (hi, Covid!). Jing said she couldn't answer my questions about my medications. I thought that's what pharmacists are supposed to do. So take your business elsewhere if you can. read more

Generally speaking, I am a fan of this location. There are a few sour apples here (rude cranky customer service from a few of the ladies), but the men that work here make up for this place! In fact, the guys who work here (e.g. Adam-guy that also works in photo processing and others) provide exceptional, friendly service and I hope his manager knows that too! Beauty: This location has a sizable amount of beauty products including "Try Me" items that are often free after rebate. It carries more beauty items than some of the neighboring CVSs (e.g. East 14th Street and Hesperian). It also has brands such as Physician's Formula which are NOT carried at some of the smaller stores. Items are spread out along the walls and in a corner section of the store. Personal Care/Shaving/Body Wash: This store has a sizable travel section (larger than several neighboring stores in the vicinity) and this is awesome when there's a clearance in the travel section. The aisles are spacious for both sections. HOWEVER, it is difficult to find available stock for sale items unless you come Sunday morning and no later than Sunday afternoon. Healthcare/First Aid: Pretty wide selection. ++ points for having a 2nd CVS machine in the store especially when the front one is either out of order or someone that is VERY fast is spending their happy time on the coupon machine. Items are fairly neat on the shelf and I've seldom seem stock on the floors (then again I am not usually there when inventory comes in), but this store is quite neat compared to other stores. Grocery/Food: If you are looking for food and beverages, this is the store to come. They stock ample amounts of Honest Tea, Sweet Tea Leaf, and other brands that are NOT available at all the other neighboring stores. They have a huge adult beverage section adjacent to the photo area (hmm?). I love that the candy aisle is ample and there is a decent spice selection. Office Supplies: Lesson learned. I should have bought some of the sale/clearance office supplies here. Not only did they have a decent amount left, but their markdowns were about 25% more than neighboring stores. Very clean and tidy too! Seasonal: Since this a larger store, it carries the seasonal items. For instance, we just passed back to school and they carried bookcases, desks, and chairs. Not all the stores do. Now, they are carrying Halloween items and there is a decent selection of Summer Clearance items available at 75% off. I love the cooler I scored (Igloo too!) for under $4! Make sure you check back in the seasonal aisles because there are GREAT finds towards the end of each season. Parking: Tons of parking. While you are at Greenhouse, you can go to the .99 cents store, Safeway, and Chase Bank. Coupon Friendly? Generally speaking yes except for the few sour apples (see above). Availability of Stock? Since this is a popular location, they tend to run out of the HOT sale items early Sunday morning and up to around noontime. My advice is to either grab it late into the week after shipment comes in (say Friday or Saturday) or wake up early! read more
