Located in the Washington Plaza, parking was challenging but was able to find parking on the north side of the plaza. Checked in at the Pharmacy vaccine window and was directed to wait at the vax area. The pharmacist came out and verified my ID and was given the shot and was on my way with a $10 off $20 coupon. Overall easy experience.

The store is always clean and orderly and I never feel in danger in the parking lot, etc. Parking, while tight, always seems to have a open spot so I never wait or need to circle back. After I reminded her again that I had called in, she suddenly "found" it and told me to come back in 2 hours and that I would receive a text message when it was ready. I never received the text message they promised. I returned on Friday, and once again they couldn't locate my prescription. After more searching, they finally found it -- but they also tried to give me someone else's order at the same time. I had to explain that I only had one prescription and asked them to verify it using my phone number, not just my last name. The entire experience was very unprofessional, disorganized, and frustrating. On top of that, the drive-thru wait was over 20 minutes. For something as important as prescriptions, accuracy and communication should be a priority. This pharmacy seriously needs to improve its customer service and organization.

I drove a HALF HOUR to this location for a small kitchen appliance I needed to cook with since my stove is broken, and this was the closest to where I live. I tried ordering it online, the online ordering was seizing up, the item said "in stock," so I thought it would be "in stock" if I walked in and bought it in-store. NOPE. Gone from the shelf. I was not familiar with any part of San Leandro, and no one EVER answers a phone in ANY California Walmarts in Customer Service (you'd die trying, with the phone ringing for the next 50 years). So I had to drive in. The parking lot is like a convention of the most depressing and depressed-looking people on Earth and everything just looked filthy. I think the inside of County Jail is cleaner. So I drove to another Walmart a 9 minute drive away, the one on Hesperian, hoping I wouldn't be met with the same nightmare; I wasn't. The Hesperian one was clean, the lines moved fast, and the shelves were well stocked. In this one on Davis, the impression is just chaos and anarchy in the entire store. The Hesperian one is still a Walmart (and God help anyone for braving any of them), but at least THERE (NOT HERE!) I was able to get what I came in for, and leave, within a short time.

The liquor section was almost completely cleared out, canned foods barely existed, and the personal care aisles looked like they hadn't been restocked in weeks. I don't know what's going on with inventory here, but it felt more like a store after a panic buy than a functioning retail location. There's not much to complain about yet, as it's bright, new, super clean, fancy plastic shields and partitions. Also, the few times I've been there, the clerks were efficient and friendly. According to the Kaiser webpage, the discharge Rx is intended to handle urgent need orders and dispense meds to discharged patients. There's chairs available, and some OTC stock. It's current hours are 24/7.

A male employee named Amo answered the phone. I politely asked if he could ask her to return my call and even offered to leave my phone number. Instead of answering my request, he repeatedly told me to call back in 30 minutes. At 3:23 PM I called again and the same employee answered. I asked again if the Mandarin-speaking staff member could speak with me. I stayed on the line waiting for her. After waiting for 27 minutes with no response, I drove to the pharmacy myself. When I arrived, the Mandarin-speaking staff member finally picked up the phone and told me that the employee had just told her about my call. This means my call had been left waiting the entire time without notifying her. I understand pharmacies can be busy, but basic communication with customers is important. If the staff member was unavailable, he could have simply told me honestly or asked her to briefly explain the situation. Leaving a customer waiting on the phone for almost 30 minutes without any explanation is very disrespectful. What made the experience worse was the dismissive and impatient attitude from the employee. As a Mandarin-speaking customer, this interaction made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I hope management reviews this situation and improves staff training in customer service and communication.
