I contacted valor regarding the possibility of having a medication, I'm tapering off of made into a liquid suspension lower dose. I spoke with the pharmacist Mindy Chen, who was wonderful, answered all of my questions took a lot of time with me and sent me a follow up. Email outlining everything we talked about. She also gave me information on how to have my doctor call in a prescription and discuss the payment which is not covered by Medicare. She is completely knowledgeable, very attentive and gave me all the time I needed without rushing me. I am definitely going to look at working with them on my medication and I would highly recommend them. There is no compounding lab in Carson City. This one is up in Reno but the good thing is they ship everywhere so you don't even have to drive up there. On April 20, 2026 I tried to place an online refill order for my nitroglycerin ointment prescription that had 6 refills remaining. I tried to refill three different ways on the Valor website, but none of them worked. I called Valor and placed a phone order with Stephanie. She said that sometime online refills don't work and have to be fixed. No one had fixed Valor's online refill system when I tried to place another refill on July 7. I went to Valor's Refill Your Prescription webpage, https://www.valorcompounding.com/refill-rx, which took me to the "Log in to order your refill" form. I entered my name and birthdate and clicked Submit. This took me to a Protecting Your Privacy page that said, "Enter the verification code we've just sent to the phone number we have on file." I received a text message on my SmartPhone with code 3898. I entered 3898. This took me to a shopping cart that was empty and no link to my prescription. I clicked the three horizontal lines in the form, which took me to Your Profile. I clicked "Refill requests," but that took me to a page that said, "You have no pending refill requests." I tried again, and this time instead of clicking "Refill requests" in Your Profile, I clicked "Order history." I clicked April 21, 2026 for the previous nitroglycerin order. I clicked the "Request a refill" button. I got a screen message: "Request a refill. You are about to request a refill for Nitroglycerin (Petroleum Jelly). We will notify your pharmacy about your request and let you know once your refill is ready. Please click button below to confirm." I pressed the button, which changed it to "Refill requested." Why doesn't Valor get rid of the Refill Your Prescription webpage, which doesn't work, and replace it with instructions for going to Order History? That's the only way to place an online refill order. read more

This rating is for their mail order program. I have not been inside the store. I'm very happy with Valor. They're very organized and efficient. The process to refill medications is easy and the mail order I receive is always shipped promptly by Fed Ex. I can track the package in transit. They have good customer service and their response time is FAST. I have KAISER but they don't cover the medication I need. So Kaiser partners with Valor and I can obtain the medication at a very reasonable price. If you're a Kaiser patient ask your Dr. to use Valor if you need a compounded medication not covered by Kaiser's formulary. They can mail the medication to you. read more

I would give 4 and a half stars if I could. Overall this pharmacy service has been consistently great. There have been a couple of 'hiccups', but then again, I've used this pharmacy for years. This drug, Gabapentin/Ketoprofen/Lidocaine that's prepared for me though Kaiser. I was allergic to Gabapentin by mouth but this is a cream drug that I used 3 times a day for pain and it works soo well. Pain free. read more

Absolutely best compounding pharmacy in the ketamine market. Their customer service, response time and responses to inquires is first rate. I will follow up when I try their product tomorrow. But so far they have been extremely attentive. Valor Compounding Pharmacy is damn near perfect. I turn out to be lucky that my provider, Safe Haven, dropped Precision and Valor was one of the choices to replace them, Thank you. Valor's customer service is prompt and efficient. My script was for 600 mg RDT's. They were on phone with me near immediately saying they do not do RDT's for tabs of that strength. I had to do troches, I had had never done troches before but I had read a lot about, foul taste, spitting, and swallowing etc. But anyhow, the earliest my script could be refilled was 5/28. On 5/27, another call asking what flavor I wanted. How about mint. I was worried that days would by while the new ordered was compounded. But they were on it. On 5/28 the ordered was filled and shipped out next day Fedex, I received the package on the morning of 5/29. The vial of torches- no plastic bubbles to push through, showed up, doubled wrapped in insulating tin foil a paper complete with a small ice bag to prevent any damage from melting, Rather than a 600 mg troche they sent 300's with intrustructins to do two. OK. The troches turned out to be closer to RDT's, they tasted fine and took only a few minutes to dissolve. A perfect combination of the 2. The strength seemed spot on. Tim Hecker and I went off into the void. So Valor checks all the boxes. Customer Service, promptness and product. If you are still stuck with Precision I would get your provider to switch you over to Valor. Right now no one else will do. read more

First time using them for my son's medication. His doctor left a voicemail they couldn't quite make out, but they were great about calling to clarify. Their text and email communication system is excellent, very user-friendly. The woman who helped us worked directly with our insurance, and we later received a follow-up call about his other medication. PSA: I got the wrong medication. Be careful! I had 2 scrips being filled here" Progesterone and Naltrexone. When I called for a fill on the Progesterone I believe they gave me the Naltrexone. It was hard for me to discern visually as both medications were packaged the exact same way - small, white capsules. I reached out to my doctor first and he agreed that it was, at minimum, a poor compound and more likely an incorrect medication based on my symptoms. I reached out to Valor, they investigated and assured me this couldn't happen, "there was no way these two medications could be switched", but provided no real proof. In the end they did agree that my symptoms aligned with an increased dose of the Naltrexone. I switched pharmacies as quickly as I could. Once I started on the new Progesterone all the symptoms I had been experiencing went away. Unfortunately, its hard to overlook the mistake, and I wouldn't trust anyone to have their medication filled here. An incorrect med could seriously harm someone. Do your due diligence on their compounded medications. Pick up in person, Talk to the pharmacist at each pick up. Have them verify the medication. Note if it looks different or too similar to something you're already taking. read more

I was able to pick up my Rx in-person by late afternoon. However -- to emphasize my comment about "the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing," this morning I received a msg from a DIFFERENT rep, saying she rec'd my v. mail yesterday -- and was now calling me back to help me with my request. ? ? ? I have had extreme difficulty with this pharmacy recently. they seem to have lost their focus on patient and customer service in exchange for ai, and less customer contact through other automations. the customer service team is no help when they can be reached. My experience with Valor has been exceptional. Due to an insurance delay, I was going to miss three doses of my medication. I received a phone call from the pharmacy, they set me up with auto renewal and shipment for future orders so that I would not have this problem again. They also put a rush on my order so that I would be without medicine for the least amount of time possible. Poor communication. Poor packaging for a compounded medication, it leaked badly with pressure changes from altitude changes. Some nice folks on the front desk, and pharmacist is clear spoken and professionally. Some really snippy folk on the front desk too. One, when I called AGAIN after another week to see what was holding up my prescription kept saying that I needed to call them to get that information. ?!??! It's been 3 weeks now, and I STILL don't have my refill. Each weekly phone call finds another problem that I solve, and I'm told it's now in process. When I call next week, I find it not in process as there is a problem. We solve the problem, often working with the pharmacist, and I'm told it's NOW in process. Rinse and repeat. i am being forced to use this co. because of my insurance. otherwise I would not use them. i had a vacation planned and requested my perception 3 weeks ahead of time. a few days prior to my trip I find out my script had not even been processed and I would not have it in time for my trip. they told me they had the wrong phone number from my insurance and could not process my order with out it but made no attempts to correct the issue. so they had my order for at least a week and did absolutely nothing. as usual with corporate america they did not care one bit that they screwed up and now I'll be with out my med for over a week! avoid this co. if you can! read more

I was given an estimate for compounded BHRT and it was reasonable and only 30 mins drive from Moraga, so I had my MD send in the prescrption. I called Valor and was told no prescription came in. Called the MD's office and they said they'll send it again. Called Valor a few days later, no prescription came it they say. This happened 3x!! Finally, someone said there was a question about the handwriting on the prescription that was illegible and they had trouble getting to the MD. (they must have been put on hold or called during their 2 hr lunch period!) So over 3 weeks went by without an ability for me to get hormones, which was dangerous without staff at Valor not following up with my MD nor contacting me to help follow up! Just misinformation that they never got the prescription until my 4th and last call. I will never work with this disorganized group. What was the toxic icing on the cake was that they tried to charge me 200% higher price than quoted when I was desperate to pick up the med after they finally got the clarification of the bad handwriting.. it was one word for goodness sakes! As a non-profit animal hospice organization , we take care of at least 15 kitties who are seniors, in hospice, or special-needs. Often, we need compounding pharmacies to help us formulate special medications for some of our more health-challenged cats. Fortunately, Valor Compounding Pharmacy was recommended to us a few weeks ago, and since we began working with them, they have been nothing short of efficient, extremely friendly, true-to-their-word as far as delivery times are concerned, and very expeditious in creating the required meds. They are also wonderful at providing detailed information over the phone and having their clients connect directly with a pharmacist if more specific answers are needed. Paying online is also very easy, as is one's ability to set up auto-ship, if requested. We anticipate working with VCP well into the future, and just received our first shipment today! Not having to pay for shipping has truly been a boon for us, and the parcel was exceptionally well-packaged--including the ice pack they used to ensure the formulation would not overheat during its journey, given the heat wave we are currently experiencing. We also appreciate the fact that they are close to us and not clear across the country, as was the previous pharmacy we were working with. The prescription that I have gotten from them for years has consistently been of superior quality.
