Oil of Olay and gift card center. - A display table at Walgreens in Berkeley, CA, features skincare products, decorative flowers, and two gift bags wrapped with pink ribbons. The table is covered with a black cloth and has an Olay promotional banner. Behind the table, there are posters on the wall, and to the sides, there are shopping carts and empty shelving units. The setting appears to be an in-store promotional or gift display area.

I forgot what I came here for, but I found it. No, it was a Coca Cola, my husband wanted a rum and coke, and I knew that Whole Foods, where I was going wasn't going to have one. So, I went in on an exceptionally rainy day and found my coke. The people working there were totally nice and the cashier brought this review up by a star.

My call long from calling this pharmacy
Jessica A.

I came last week Thursday to refill my prescription, they said it would be ready Tuesday by 5pm. I came back Tuesday to find out it's delayed. The pharmacy said they will call me when it's ready but should be good to go by Wednesday. It is now Friday and I have no prescription. I called and the African woman in the pharmacy quickly answered and put me on hold with out asking me what I needed. I called the store and they walked back to the pharmacy and told them to pick up the phone. The Mexican woman answered the phone and told me that my prescription was out of order and they don't know when they would get it back in. She did not care, she did not try to accommodate me, they did not tell me I can transfer my prescription to another store, they did not calls other store to check if they had it. I am out of medication which is dangerous for me and my condition. I am switching pharmacy because they do not care, they do not pick up the phone and they hang up on you.

people shopping in a grocery store - Inside Walgreens in Berkeley, CA, several customers are standing in line, maintaining social distancing with markers on the floor. The store features shelves stocked with vitamins, supplements, and health products. The ceiling has fluorescent lighting, and a sign indicating pharmacy services is visible. The scene captures typical retail activity during a busy period, with customers waiting patiently at the checkout area.

I'm writing this review while I have been waiting at the pharmacy pick up window for at least twenty minutes, and still fourth person on the line. Hopefully the prescription I've been notified by text message this morning is actually filled and my waiting is worthwhile. I've been using this pharmacy in the past eight years, but in the last 6-8 months it been very poorly managed. There have been number of trips on which I've been told to come back next day, even though the system have already informed me the prescription have been filled. There was a case when after a minor surgery I needed an antibiotic filled in within the same day. It was sent to them, but since they didn't fill it in I had to go after hours to another Walgreens pharmacy in El Cerrito which is open late and where it was done right away. Eventually, what I did is moving to Costco pharmacy. But they still filled the prescription, even after I opted out of their services. That speaks how disorganized everything is! Few months back I requested to speak to the pharmacist in charge. She explained that she had taken two weeks vacation around the holidays and therefore they are backed up. Miraculously, today my prescription was ready for pick up and the over 30 min I had to carve out of my busy afternoon were worth it. However, I hope not to be back.

March 2023. Come any time and the line is ridiculously long for pharmacy.

Worst customer service. Look at the pharmacy line and how ridiculously long it is 15 people in front of you. This is 3 different days. March 2023. When you call the store they will put you on hold then 5 minutes later connect you to another customer and the customer will be asking you about a product and to put it on hold.

Info from the app - The image displays a Walgreens store sign in Berkeley, CA, with the address 1050 Gilman St. The sign states that the pharmacy is temporarily closed and provides information about the store's normal hours. It also includes a note in red text indicating the store is open with normal hours and the pharmacy is temporarily closed, along with a directional arrow and a distance marker of 1.3 miles.

After closing the Ashby/San Pablo Walgreens, our prescriptions were transferred to the Gilman store. It was ok at first but then there were random days when the pharmacy was closed due to staffing. It made getting our meds difficult. Now it's an even bigger struggle because they've temporarily closed the pharmacy and I have no meds left. There's no mention of transferring to another Walgreens. I'm trying to transfer them to CVS but who knows how long that will take. It makes me nervous, not having my meds. Thanks, Walgreens, for putting customers in danger.

People waiting in line for critical medications, many will be denied - Multiple people are waiting in line inside Walgreens pharmacy in Berkeley, CA. One person is looking at their phone, while others are near the counter, possibly waiting to pick up prescriptions. Shelves stocked with medications and health products are visible in the background, along with signage indicating different sections of the store. The store has a typical retail interior with fluorescent lighting and tiled flooring.

I've been having allergy issues with lip products from big name brands (e.g., Lancome, Clarins,…read moreIlia) and found that they all contain red lake dyes such as CI 15850, etc. A big problem is that almost all lip tints use synthetic, red lake dyes for red and pink colors. After an extensive search, I found 100% Pure offers multiple shades of deep to bright red, purple-red, and light pink in lipsticks, lip glosses, and lip glazes! Most other brands can only offer red lake dye-free products in nude or clear colors. I was beyond stoked! And I found out that they were having a really great summer sale--items were 30%, 40%, or 50% off based on my receipt! One of my favorite things about this brand is that instead of products that taste like plastic, wax, or some other unknown substance, all my products actually taste like fruit, which is great given that they advertise being made of fruit juices and natural oils! The shelf life of their products is, of course, significantly less than other products that have preservatives, but honestly, I'd rather have cleaner ingredients and a shorter shelf-life. The store in-person had all the items that were out of stock online, too, which made my shopping experience that much better. I picked up a total of 7 lip products all in different shades and textures, which no other brand was able to offer me in that quantity for that quality. -- Additional things to note: - the store seems very hygienic: they have a sink where you can wash your hands, offer clean brushes and new, disposable lip product wands so you can try everything without using the wand in the tube, alcohol sprays, sanitizing sprays, tissues, etc. - the items that weren't fully red lake dye-free said "may contain", which doesn't necessarily mean they fully use it, but I didn't want to risk a reaction, so I steered clear of them anyway. - they have samples of everything--you can play around with literally every product and every shade! - dog-friendly (they even give treats!) - the location of the store is in a somewhat busy area, but if you scour the blocks, you're likely to find parking (pay by ParkMobile). I found a spot right in front of the store, and parallel parking was so easy into this spot because the road wasn't super busy. - they offer services, such as facials - the worker (I should have got her name) is so kind and won't push products on to you or make you feel rushed. I was in the store for a good 45 minutes at least, and she checked in once in a while, made herself available, but wasn't pushy or frustrated with how much time I took or how many products I sampled. -- I tried the Cocoa Butter Matte Lipstick in Winecup, Fruit Pigmented Lip Glaze in Elderberry, and the Fruit Pigments Lip Gloss in Pomegranate Wine, and none of them gave me an allergic reaction all day when I usually get a reaction within 30 minutes from other brands. Thank you, 100% Pure!

I made an appointment to get my makeup done for the day of our 30th wedding anniversary. Jaron was scheduled to make me up. He asked me if I'd like a natural, dramatic or in between natural and dramatic look. I told him I'd love in between because it was a special day and we were taking many photos. I showed him my dresses, I would be wearing two dresses and our anniversary party was an old Hollywood theme. I also asked if it was possible for the make up to last all day. My sister in law came to get her make up done as well as I was purchasing some of the makeup Jaron put on me my sister in law surprised me by buying everything as an anniversary gift. So so sweet and such a great treat. My husband prefers a natural look but he thought I looked gorgeous. He said he was hoping it would be more than natural for this special day. Jaron did a fabulous job! I was so very happy. He matched my foundation color to the T, he gave me a classic deep red wine lip color that had some shimmer/glitter to it. And my cheekbones were so dramatic. He gave me a beautiful Smokey eye. Hubby kissed me throughout the night yet his lips were not smothered with the lipstick. My makeup did not smear or fade even once. I was thrilled with every photo that was taken all because of Jaron's amazing flawless talent. I wish I could get my makeup done all the time now. I've already tried to get my makeup done again with Jaron but he wasn't there and the day was booked. Be sure to book your makeup appointments ahead of time. I'm adding quite a few photos because the awesome and fun staff here at M.A.C wanted to see photos. I'll most definitely be back!!!

My daughter wanted to exchange a product that was malfunctioning. Instead of spraying like it should, its contents sprayed all over her hands. I had to go to another store first so she went in without me. She talked to the manager and when I got to the store, she was almost in tears because of the way the manager talked to her. She couldn't find her receipt, but she did pay for it. I understand that Sephora probably gets a lot of people stealing things and trying to return them but one can still use good customer service skills and communicate the same thing -- that they can only return it with a receipt. This can be done in a friendly boundaried way. When I came, I also spoke to the manager, who I would say was not very friendly. Maybe she had a bad day? I know being a manager is hard work but her attitude went beyond firm to quite cold and impersonal. It just wasn't the level of service that I normally expect from Sephora. When we did find the receipt, we told her and she told us to go to the register to make the exchange. No, "good, I'm glad it worked out for you, that would've been a bummer if you couldn't find the receipt." She seemed very uninterested in talking to us. I didn't get her name. I am not advocating for special treatment but respectful treatment would have been nice. The representative that did the exchange was very helpful and friendly. I remembered her from another day that I was in the store, a couple of months ago and I really liked her. Her name is Lauren and I hope that management recognizes her for her exemplary customer service skills.

I stopped in because I'm running low on my usual moisturizer and was planning to restock. I've been loyal to the same one for a while, but I recently fell in love with a different brand's face wash and was considering switching to their moisturizer as well. The only downside? It was significantly more expensive and my partner's immediate reaction was basically, "Expensive = no." Sensing my hesitation, a salesperson came over and offered to help. After I explained what I was looking for, she actually suggested a completely different brand. She gave me a sample to try, and even hours later, my skin still felt moisturized. The best part? It performed just as well (if not better) than the others I was considering and it was cheaper. What made the whole experience even funnier was that another customer nearby had the exact same dilemma. She overheard the recommendation and ended up grabbing the product too. At checkout, they were also giving out additional samples of the brands other products, which was a nice bonus. Overall, a great experience thanks to thoughtful and helpful service. I told her I was returning an item and had originally paid with a credit card. She then took me aside with her handheld device and began to help me. Before we could continue, the manager came over and said she couldn't process my return there and that I needed to go back and wait in the regular line at the counter. By that point, the line had already become long and zigzagged again. I had already waited once, and being told to start over felt unfair and incredibly frustrating. I ended up leaving without completing my return. As a customer who had already done my part by waiting in line, I feel I should have been helped next at the counter instead of being sent to the back again because of an internal miscommunication.
