The only thing that changes are the team members, entering and existing off the main road. This shop in Berkley, CA was perfect. Friendly staff and clean location. When I came in they immediately greeted me and asked me if I was looking for anything specific. It's always about their exclusive blend coffee in these stores. There were many varieties but I always find myself gravitating to the same one. I really enjoy their "exclusive blend." We stopped by on our way home for a little dessert after our Italian meal a block away. 7-Eleven is the perfect spot. Very carefully planned locations and stocked merchandise. At Seven Palms, I can stop by on my way home from school and work. Nonetheless, after eating my heart out at La Val and stuffing my mouth with mouth-watering pizza, I typically head to Seven Palms for dessert. They have an amazing chocolate selection. They have Ritter Sport! They offer several varieties of Ritter Sport, including milk chocolate (30%) and dark chocolate (50%). Their Ritter Sport costs $2.94. They offer Hershey's and Reeses and the like for $1.25 for the regular-sized versions, and the king-sized selections are $1.85. On a side note, don't buy any of the ice cream sandwiches here because they taste very bad. They taste like they've been sitting beneath the child seat in my Ford Focus for a few months. The prices here are a little on the high side, but that is what happens when you go to school in a well-to-do area. Seven Palms pays a premium rent for its premium location next to La Val. Anyone who opens up shop next to La Val pays a premium because everyone wants to be next to La Val. That way, after you eat La Val, you can stop for more food. My roommate tried taking 20 cents out of the "take a penny, leave a penny" jar at the cashier's desk at Seven Palms, but the cashier got pretty upset at him, so don't do that. Similarly to my boy Drizzy Drake, Seven Palms prefers straight up cash money (dolla dolla billz) over credit cards, so be sure to tip them on your way out. At the front of the store, they offer smaller chocolates (Ghirardelli anyone?) for 50 cents a pop. One more thing: this store has everything!! From peanuts to Honey Dijon kettle chips to sparkling water to eggs to Hennessy to bananas to lottery ticketz to aluminum foil, the Seven Palms "Seven Penintential Psalms" store has you covered for life. They are open late and open early. They offer a bucket for your wet umbrellas. Their muffins taste OK. The same two men run the store. They are quite friendly and helpful! I give them big tip. I wish that Seven Palms sold hoisin sauce so I can put some of dat jaunt into my homemade phò.

Always being located on a corner spot, they are an easy in and out off the main road. The handicap parking is also very centrally located close to the doors which is not always the case. I am always pleased when I am properly greeted when I walk through the door. I am especially happy when a clerk or cashier look up from what they are doing to acknowledge a customer walking through the door. This store, like other Walgreens is big and bright with clean isles to navigate through. I needed a few items ranging from pharmaceutical to paper goods. They had plenty of items to choose from and I pleased that their house brand is a substantially reduced price and the same item. I had to make an 8 X10 enlargement and it was an incredibky easy task from transmitting the photo from my phone to submitting the photo to the printer. $4.95 is a price to pay to a print and they had a great frame at 60% off for 4.99. Overall a really easy and simple task from beginning to end. Check out went very quickly and I received the same cordial greeting as I left as when I came in. Kudos to a nice team here at Walgreens.

My RXs are available without undue delay, and efficiently dispensed. While they did install this year touchtone screens for customer to tap & confirm order details, sometimes customer entry waived when busy and technician enters data to retrieve RXs. I notice sometimes the process changes slightly, with more safeguards added, like showing the customer the packages so they can confirm the RX. The only thing I found a blip was getting the pharmacy hours down. They do differ between weekdays & weekend (10 AM on Sat, 11 AM on Sun), so be sure to check. Yelp notes the store's opening and closing times which differ from pharmacy hours. Would be helpful to post the pharmacy hours, maybe note them in the questions to business. The line on weekend moves pretty quickly so don't be too disheartened when you see people in line.

We stopped by this CVS location to pick up some photo prints after lunch. They have a pretty good…read moresized parking lot, but the spaces are a bit cramped for when you're pulling out. Especially if there is someone behind you that parked with their rear sticking too far out. We also noticed that despite the large lot size, the parking lot was nearly at capacity even though there did not appear to be very many customers inside the store. This leads us to believe that some people are using their lot while shopping/running errands nearby. We didn't check out much of the store since we were only here for some photo orders. But the cashier was pretty friendly, and we were able to get our orders and leave in fairly good time.

The number of boosters one has had is irrelevant; it is the interval between vaccines that is relevant. When I told her that, she stated she must follow CDC guidelines. I brought those up on my phone and showed her. She disappeared and brought back a hand written 'statement' from the CDC backing up what she said. At this point I realized that reason would not prevail and went to Walgreens on Lakeshore Ave. in Oakland, where the people were pleasant and I got the vaccine with absolutely no hassle.

I unfortunately do not remember her name, but she was phenomenal--professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. Her level of service was a major reason I remained a customer for so long. Unfortunately, since Jay has taken over as pharmacist, my experience has changed dramatically. I cannot say exactly how long he has been there, but since his arrival, the professionalism and customer service I once experienced have been notably absent. My experience on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, was the final straw and the worst experience I have ever had at a pharmacy. I called ahead to confirm that two prescriptions could be filled. After repeatedly being placed on hold, the call eventually rolled to voicemail. I eventually spoke with a technician, who told me the prescriptions were too early because only 29 days had passed. I explained that it was actually 30 days, but rather than simply verifying the dates, I was repeatedly told I was wrong. I asked to speak with Jay. Jay likewise told me the prescriptions could not be filled until Wednesday, September 9, which would have been 31 days. I explained that I needed them that day because I would otherwise run out. The issue was not resolved over the phone, so I went to the pharmacy. In person, Jay again told me he could not fill the prescriptions. I suggested that we count the days together using the calendar on my phone. He counted them, and it showed 30 days--not 29. He then checked his computer, spending several more minutes reviewing the information, and ultimately confirmed that the prescription could be filled. What was particularly troubling was his demeanor throughout this process. His tone and body language conveyed obvious annoyance and displeasure as I continued asking him to verify something that ultimately proved to be correct. After repeatedly insisting that I was wrong, his response upon finally confirming the dates was essentially, "Fine, I'll fill it." It was cold, dismissive, and completely devoid of any acknowledgment or apology. There were also other customers present who witnessed the interaction, as well as a pharmacist intern. I found it particularly concerning that an intern was observing this exchange. Pharmacists should be modeling professionalism, patience, accountability, and respectful communication for the next generation of professionals. If this is the example being set, I find that genuinely troubling. This is also not an isolated problem. On multiple occasions, I have gotten home, counted my medication, and discovered that my prescription was short. Accuracy when dispensing prescription medication should be fundamental, not something customers have to routinely verify themselves. The store itself is also poorly maintained, with visible cobwebs and heavily stained and discolored ceilings. The overall condition does not reflect the standard I would expect from Safeway. What makes this especially disappointing is that I was a loyal customer for more than four years. I stayed because the previous pharmacist provided exceptional service. That trust is now gone. I am not writing this simply to complain. I am sharing my experience because customers deserve to know what they may encounter when choosing a pharmacy, particularly when prescription medication is involved. I have now transferred my prescriptions elsewhere. After more than four years of loyalty, Safeway has permanently lost my business at this location. I will not be returning to this pharmacy. Customer loyalty is earned through accuracy, professionalism, and respectful treatment. Unfortunately, my experience since Jay took over has demonstrated the opposite. I strongly encourage anyone considering this pharmacy to carefully consider their options and, if they do use it, verify their prescription and quantity before leaving.

They also have a useful text and phone notification system (although the phone calls can get excessive). Service & Experience: Staff is always professional and efficient. They fill my prescriptions and answer questions. Not the warmest or friendliest -- but that's not what I'm looking for. It's more clinical, business-like, and to the point; they've got a lot of folks to serve, and they seem to do it well. At times, the line can get pretty long, but that feels more like a staffing issue. If this is the case, just shop around or kill time perusing the aisles or sitting at the in-store Starbucks. Tips: - They offer a grocery coupon for switching to Safeway pharmacy. Make sure you ask about this. I think I saved $75 or so. - Their lunch break is from 1-1:45pm daily (as of this review). - You get to use the big Safeway parking lot, which is a plus. Accepted insurances: I've used both Blue Shield of CA and Aetna. Overall, no reason to go anywhere else for me. Service is always prompt, I have hardly ever had to wait in line, and if you have to wait for a prescription you can grab a coffee and/or do some marketing. I frequently get 20% off Safeway coupons after I checkout at the pharmacy (so be sure to grab your medications before you checkout for grocery shopping).

I decided to get another yesterday before my optometry appointment but when I walked into where the store had been I was surprised to be told they no longer sold assistive devices, that the stores had been closed because of slow sales and were now departments. The nice young women working there had several suggestions for places outside Kaiser to get them. Last night I wondered whether Johnston's in South Berkeley might have them so this morning I called them. They do, but their hours are now 8:30 to 12:00, which doesn't work for me, as I'm up late and sleep late, but I was prepared to suck it up and do it. When I went on Yelp to let them know the new hours, Always Care came up. It's directly across from Picnic and I have driven past it countless times, but it really hadn't registered. I called them and they do have exercise bands, so I decided to stop by today as part of my errands. That's exactly what I did, finding parking right in front. I had stopped by Picnic earlier in my errands and had taken a photo of the storefront from across the street. The door was locked, w/ a sign directing patrons to ring the doorbell, which I did. The owner, Stan, let me in and when he looked down and saw my exercise band in my hand he knew who I was. He brought me a new one, one that was longer and stronger than what I had, which was much sturdier than the bands I had had previously from Kaiser's PT department, so I had assumed mine was about the strongest available. Not the case. So mine has been retired and tomorrow I will start using the new one. If I ever need another assistive device I will most certainly come here. All sales are final, which seems reasonable to me.
