Since 7-Eleven is a national chain and nothing changes too much store to store - state to state, you're going to find the same things in each location. The only thing that changes are the team members, entering and existing off the main road. This shop in Berkley, CA was perfect. Friendly staff and clean location. When I came in they immediately greeted me and asked me if I was looking for anything specific. It's always about their exclusive blend coffee in these stores. There were many varieties but I always find myself gravitating to the same one. I really enjoy their "exclusive blend." We stopped by on our way home for a little dessert after our Italian meal a block away. 7-Eleven is the perfect spot. Very carefully planned locations and stocked merchandise. Such a horrible experience. We stopped by on Saturday afternoon to grab a few items and when you first walk into the store it had a very strong Clorox smell. The customer service rep was also very rude to all their customer and yelled at them. I wouldn't come back again! read more

Absolutely terrible. This is probably the third time I've gone on a Friday night/early Saturday morning, and the rude employee always seems to want a "five minute break" to go smoke his cancer stick whenever I arrive. I've been the only person there EVERY, SINGLE TIME and yet I still have to wait when I would've bought what I came to get in less than a minute. I was once locked out because the same employee wanted to mop the floor...AND THEN SMOKE A CIGARETTE OUTSIDE (that time I waited over 15 minutes just to buy a bag of chips). So some employees here are absolute trash, and I don't think the management gives a s**t (unless?). I don't care if this store is 24/7. It's stupid to deny someone service after they take the time to get there and no one else is inside the store. Couldn't he just wait another minute to take a break? If the manager is reading this, please fire the employee that works from Friday night to Saturday morning. All he does is beat around the bush, pollute the air with his smoker's breath, and most of all: acts very rude to customers. read more

OH, THANK HEAVEN! We totally forgot to load my purse full of snacks before heading to Berkeley to see a play. Some theaters don't allow snacks at all; others don't allow outside snacks. If no snacks are allowed, it's hard to get away with eating anything... but if concessions are sold at the playhouse, it's hard to tell in the dark if you're eating something you brought from home or an item you purchased there. 7-11 was the perfect stop. I bought spicy peanuts and sour gummies. Casey P. bought a King size Twix, some regular gummy candies and something else. It was enough to last us for the duration of the play (almost.) Also on this stop, I bought gloves that I intend to use for gardening during an Earth Day clean-up event I'm participating in today. $2.99 to protect my little paws. What a deal! This is my local 7-11. It is open in the late hours and has a decent selection of drinks and snacks. Could definitely improve its ice cream game though. However, it absolutely reeks of body odor. It may be the smelliest 7-11 in the country. I don't know why it smells like satan's armpit, but they need to do some thing to remedy the stink. Sometimes I go in to buy a snack because I'm hungry but the stench makes me completely lose my appetite. Bless the employees who put up with the unholy reek for hours during long shifts. read more

Ok, well, as far as 7- Elevens go, this one is pretty much like every single other one. Except the milk is usually a few days past its expiration, and the late night clerk is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too comfortable talking to people about condom selections. (Yes, thats him, mid-comment, in the photo I posted) Without fail, he would say things to the bf about his condom and ice cream choices, like "Ooh, ribbed this time ay?" or "Which is first tonight? The ice cream or the lovemaking?" OMG. One night in July, I'm there with our Irish housemate Sarah, making a pre-movie night munchie run. We buy a buttload of stuff, and as an afterthought, I go back up to the register for condoms (never hurts to have more) and when I go to pay he's like "These should have been your first thought, not ice cream!! I blush 9384753 shades of red, and just put out my hand for the bag. Yea,this is the only 24-7 shop that's open around here if I wanna grab some coffee or food immediately. There's not much to expect, I mean its a 7 eleven folks,they're called convenient stores for a reason. Yes,they may charge a premium on food and drinks but where else would you go if you were on a trip and really needed something for the drive? This 7 eleven is cleaner than most I've been to and its awesome that they actually stay open 24-7. The staff can be a bit friendlier but for a convenient store,its expected. I love grabbing donuts, hot dogs, nachos, or other snacks from here. They even have chili, salsa, and nacho cheese! Other than that, its nice that they also carry coffee for the times when I'm running late for work and they also have a huge selection of energy drinks or just orange juice. Not to mention the times where I'm feeling under the weather and they're the only ones open and carry what I need! I'm giving them a solid 3 for always being there when I need them most, just needs friendlier staffing and they'll be good.I'll be sure to update this once that happens! read more

HERITAGE FARMS MILK, DIET PEPSI SLURPEE's - WHOA HOA In the 1960's, this building housed the neighborhood Safeway. On warm Saturdays, I would accompany my father in his quest for the precious Brown Derby beer. I had rarely been here since it became 7-11. However, my neighborhood supplier of organic milk closes early. So I wandered down here and found Heritage Farms Organic 2% milk. I thought it would be a factory farm product. Wrong! It is a very high quality product made in Ventura county, with a high-tech flash pasteurization process and ceramic filtration. It is very fresh and tastes great! One evening I was buying the organic milk and I commented to a gentleman who was doing inventory how much I like the Heritage Farms product. He turned out to be the owner of this franchise (not a company store). He had a tablet computer that I asked him about. It turns out he uses advanced logistics to constantly review the inventory and adjust it to customer demands. He can review historic sales by date and other factors including weather! He explained that weather is a major factor in convenience store sales. Due to customer demand, he has added fresh fruit and organic products. AND of course, diet Pepsi Slurpee's. A charming and astute manager of this important community asset! As far as the late night clerks eyeing customers suspiciously, I would probably eye myself suspiciously, if I was a late night convenience store clerk. "Hey you!" Okay, here's the thing. This place would have gotten 5 full stars if it were not for the night clerk. Each time we go to the local 7-eleven, we mind our own business and go straight to the slurpee machine. So, we have one goal. That is to have some good squishy. This is one of the very few 7-elevens that has diet pepsi available for slurpeee consumption. In the summer, we were told that the technician who fixed the diet pepsi machine had died and that there was no replacement yet. Clearly, they were lying since the machine was fixed and now was producing good squishy. Now, what stands in the way of this, is the death stares that we receive from the night clerk. We're not scary people and we don't try to intimidate. But for some reason, this guy always seem to think that we're up to no good. Anyway, 24-hours, can't argue with that. This location is excellent for pre-packaged snacks and drinks, but severely lacks in their inventory of warm foods and fresh goods. I come here for Slurpees and sodas on a regular basis, but tend to not buy hot roller items and pastries that often, and not because they aren't reasonably priced or tasty, but because they never seem to have anything available; at any one time they usually only have 1-3 hot dogs warm and never seem to have any cheese or chili on hand for nachos. read more

I have lived within a block of this establishment for two years of college, and it has been indispensable source of sustenance at all hours of the day. They have a decent selection of beers, milk, ice cream, and potato chips; these are about the only things I would ever buy here. With everything else closed around here by 10-11pm, late night studying/coding cannot happen without this place. Lots of good times chilling with one of the clerks who's friendly. The other ones not so much. My only wish is that they had more cereal and cleaning products. Despite the occasional clusterfuck of police vehicles when the place gets robbed at gunpoint, it's generally not too busy and there is even a bit of parking. When everything is closed early, you can count on this 7-11 to stay open. Yep, it's 24 hours and my stomach could not have been happier. It can get a little creepy around 12am if you happen to stumble across this 7-11. There's a wide selection of candies, chips, ice cream, sodas, beers, slurpees and small health necessities. It's keep and organized so there's not much going aisle to aisle searching for what you need, given there are about 4 aisles. You will find most of the basic late night munchies here from Cheetos to Doritos to a ChocoTaco, you've got it. Just got kicked out because they were closing. The two people in front of me got checked out, but when I got to the counter, they were closing. The cashier yelled at me and told me to leave and wouldn't let me check out. Sure it was 2am, but their sign says 24 hours. I ended up having to walk a half a mile down to Safeway to get my soda. When I passed them again on my way home, they were miraculously open again. I don't know why the store was only closed to me, but next time, if there is one, I won't be as polite. read more

I purchased 2 doughnuts and strawberry milk and coffee as I drove my son around the corner to his school my son throws up do to doughnuts were bad. They were not fresh.
