I have been going to this Jamba since it's been at this location. The service has declined. The csr's can be loud & gossipy. One of the managers, Elizabeth, is rude & extremely aggressive for absolutely no reason. I'm not sure how a person of this character can be in a customer service position. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was upsetting enough that I feel obligated to warn other customers. I went to this Jamba Juice location at approximately 6:00 p.m. today. Their posted closing time was 7:00 p.m., so we were there a full hour before closing. When we walked in, there were three employees behind the counter, two women and one man. The store was not busy at all. There was only one other customer waiting. From the moment we entered, the energy was hostile and uncomfortable. None of the employees acknowledged us when we walked in. Instead, they all visibly reacted with annoyance, exchanging looks and making comments loud enough to hear. One of them said something along the lines of "I guess we're not getting out of here on time now," which was shocking considering it was still an hour before closing. As we stood there, the employees continued to glare at us, sneer, and act as if they were hoping we would leave without ordering. The other customer in line also appeared uncomfortable, which made us realize this behavior likely wasn't just directed at us. It felt like we were inconveniencing them simply by being customers during business hours. While our drinks were being made, the situation escalated into something far more concerning. One of the female employees visibly wiped her nose on her arm and appeared to pick her nose. She did not wash her hands afterward. Instead, she immediately grabbed the blender and continued preparing drinks with bare hands and no gloves. This happened in plain view. At that point, I spoke up because it was genuinely unsanitary and unacceptable. I said, clearly and loud enough for everyone to hear, something to the effect of "Is she really not going to wash her hands? She just wiped her nose and went straight back to making drinks." The employee became visibly angry. She grabbed the blender, threw it down somewhere behind the counter, and stormed off. She may have washed her hands, but there was no apology or acknowledgment of the concern. When she returned, she continued glaring at us and acting irritated. From that point on, the behavior became even more uncomfortable. The employees avoided eye contact, gave us dirty looks, and rushed through the order in a way that felt careless and passive aggressive. When we were handed our drinks, the lids were barely on and felt sloppily assembled. The attitude was openly hostile. Because of how unsanitary and strange the situation felt, we did not feel safe drinking the smoothies. The drinks were prepared partially out of our view after the confrontation, and given the level of anger and resentment directed toward us, we genuinely did not trust that the drinks were safe. We ended up throwing both drinks away. We spent over $20 and did not consume any of it. This experience was not just bad customer service. It was disrespectful, unprofessional, and unsanitary. Customers should never be made to feel unwelcome for ordering during posted business hours. More importantly, basic food safety and hygiene standards should be non negotiable. I would strongly caution anyone considering this location. Until management addresses employee behavior, cleanliness, and basic professionalism, I would not return. read more

My favorite Jamba Juice location. It's always clean, the drinks are so good and I love adding little extras for protein and vitamins. Drink: This review is specifically for the merry orange cranberry drink. It tasted so good and by far one of the best smoothies that I have ever had. It had coco whip at the bottom of it, which I thought would throw off the flavor but it actually wasn't too bad. Atmosphere: Really like the clean feeling of this place. Service is always good. I really my drink. It was cool to the touch, just a bit tart and sweet, and the ginger added a nice kick. The more I drank, the warmer I got inside. I found it very tasty and satisfying. Hubby's orange dream machine reminded me of the old push up yogurt pops, or an Orange Julius. It was also really yummylicious. We do not drink these on a regular basis, maybe that is why they tasted soooo good. The sales gal who took our order and made our drinks was super friendly and professional. The store was clean, didn't smell super fruity sweet. The music was a bit loud, but hey. It was not busy at all, then again, school hadn't let out yet. Commuting from Pinole to El Cerrito to get a Jamba Juice. This location was the first in the East Bay Area that I was familiar with. Before San Pablo and Pinole had a Jamba Juice this was the place I would go to get a drink. Smaller location compare to San Pablo and Pinole. It can be crowded inside and long wait for your order to be ready. Whomever created the Jamba Juice app thank you. Now with the app you can order drinks ahead and it will be ready when you arrive. I was dissapointed when i asked the gentleman behind the counter why my 50% coupon (which i received yesterday for signing up for rewards points) took 50% off the $3 dollar item and not the $10 item. He said my belgian waffle bowl wasnt a food item. I asked what would happen if i took off the cheddar twist (a food item). He said my coupon wouldnt work because my belgian waffle bowl was not one item, it had several things in one bowl. I said i didnt agree with the explanation and he said, i dont make the rules. Let me be clear, at no point was he ever rude with me but he gave me the most ridiculous response to my question which told me he had 0 training on the matter. I worked in sales for several years and know that the proper thing to do in that situation is not make up an answer but it's to find the answer. Im a pretty educated lady and I know when a 20 -something young man makes up a reason on the fly. Not good customer service. I asked him what coconut whip was because it was a selection on the menu for belgian waffle psrfait and his answer was, "coconut whip cream, uh i dont know". A juice bar with no juicer! I guess the juicer was broken today, so no juice. Really Jamba?! The staff was slow and clearly inexperienced, the manager's behavior was odd and erratic. They forgot my order and then got it wrong. The place is also filthy with piles of dirty dishes in view of the customers, the floor needed to be swept, tables needed to be wiped, and trash hadn't been taken out. The woman who made my drink didn't wear gloves. Just gross. I ended up throwing my order away. I highly recommend corporate take a field trip to this location. Jamba Juice has definitely been stepping up their game, I guess with all these other fresh juiceries opening, they have had to expand their menu by quite a bit. I got a groupon so have been coming to Jamba Juice quite often, if not for the groupon then I feel like the drinks are a bit too pricey to come all the time. Some of the drinks are up to $7, even $8 with add ins. That's a far cry from my high school days when they had $3 small smoothies. This location only has two tables to sit on, and it is more of an order to go place. I had an acai berry smoothie, and it came out within 5 min. They only had 2 people working. This is my most regular juice store. The staff is friendly, professional and very nice . My only issue is the machine they use to heat the breakfast sandwiches doesn't heat them through out. My sandwich was cold in the middle. I told them about this on my next visit and they knew they have this problem intermittently. They said I could have brought it back in but I was already gone. Now look I've had the new golden thumeric spice drink at different locations such as Emeryville, now this time I ordered the turmeric drink in this is location and I was overpowered with black pepper. At the register the person took my order and tried charging me, but couldn't. He didn't ask me for a different card or anything just said that it was all good.
