Great service guy with the long hair was super respectful and helpful I'm for sure going back

Since yelp wanted to delete my previous review. The only thing you will get from this location is bad attitude, potential saliva in your ice cream and employees throwing money at customers after paying for ice cream. Not even sure real BAY people frequent this place anyway. However, if there is the slightest chance that you do please reconsider and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. They don't need another cent , especially with how they stereotype and treat certain individuals. read more

I wish I could I put zero stars this place is disgraceful first I walked in with my 3 kids and the costumer service was horrible they didn't even greet us when we walked in i ordered anyways I found a hair in my ice cream so disappointed drove 20 mins to spend 30 dollars on 3 cones and to receive a hair in my ice cream so unfortunate read more

Baskin-Robbins - Hair at the top of my ice cream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - El Cerrito, California

There is black mold in the freezers. Black mold is a sign of unsafe and unsanitary conditions. There have been many times the ice cream was not frozen and almost like soft serve. I have purchased hand packed quarts that were much less than 32 ozs. When I ask them to weigh it they look at me like I'm crazy. So, I brought my own scale. The store is filthy, especially the floors. There is black mold in the corners of the floor. It needs a thorough professional sanitation cleaning. read more

I hate the new owners of this Baskin Robbins, the staff is very rude & disrespectful. When me and my mom went in there she got two banana royale and the boy that helped us didn't even do it correctly and my brother asked for NO NUTS & he put it on there anyway and my mom corrected him and SCRAPED THE NUTS OFF didn't even make a new one THANK GOD my brother isn't allergic cause he would have had to make it all over again & than after she paid he left our ice cream on the counter and walked away no bag or nothing. I'll never support this BR. I'll go all the way to Emeryville one than this horrible place. read more

I have just had the most disappointing visit to a 31 flavors Baskin Robins in my life. I ordered a 2 scoop Sunday and received approximately 1 scoop of ice cream, it didn't even fill the cup with the whipped cream on it. None of the staff bothered to wash their hands after handling items and going back to the scoops. The man making my Sunday didn't wash his hands prior to scoping; wear gloves or a hair covering as he leaned in the case to scoop my jamoca almond fudge and mint chip. It was like he was getting a bonus if he could put as little as possible in my cup. The other two gentlemen working in the kitchen were decorating cakes and restocking utensils while ringing up clients and going right back without washing their hands once while I was there. I paid for my ice cream, went home and threw it in the trash. Who ever took over this location needs to educated in food handling as well as portion sizing for Baskin Robins. It wouldn't matter if it was heaping overflowing and perfect if the people making it didn't observe basic hygiene. My wife braver than me decided to eat her Dubai Sunday and informed me that the ice cream had ice crystals in it and the nuts were stale. This was absolutely disappointing. Baskin-Robbins is Baskin-Robbins. You already know before you walk in that there will be many flavors to choose from and they will all be delicious and they will all be bright, colorful and deciding the right one is half the fun of going there. I will say that we walked in there were three people behind the counter, and it took a while before anybody even recognized this and said hello. When they did help us, it was very quick fast and they moved on almost immediately. I am not sure how their day went, but I would as manager make sure that they greet everybody coming through the door and at the counter and offer samples and other things that I have at other Baskin-Robbins. read more

Some flavors look nicely frozen while some look intensely melted. May need to check their freezers to make sure they are working properly. Baskin Robbins Ice Cream is like the Starbucks of Coffee. Decent flavors and big selection. You can ask for whipped cream added at no extra costs. It's a small store so sometimes the lines can get weird when lots of people are waiting. read more

Consistently Great Service, Friendly staff. Lots of great options and rotating flavors. Recomend the oreo cold brew and pralines and cream

Most Sunday mornings I come by for a small cappuccino blast. I love it and look forward to it all week! Navneet makes it perfectly by blending until the ice is all gone, and always greets with a big smile. Everyone there is friendly and nice no matter how crowded it gets. Bravo! read more

Went again tonight just hoping they cleaned up their act reading so many other bad reviews. The floor was filthy. The ice inside where they store the ice cream was all black with dirt. The prepacked ice cream was too soft, almost melted. Nobody greeted us or asked us what we would like, or even looked at us. They were blasting Indian music, which is their right to do, but I've never been to a Basin Robbins that blasted any type of music. I hope they aren't allowed to tamper with the pre-packed quarts, so I guess I'm relegated to buying melted quarts and freezing it at home. I miss the previous owners and the high school/college kids they hired. I totally understand that it's now a family owned place, but it was a much more fun and lively vibe with the prior owners. Now after I get ice cream, I feel so depressed, sad, and dirty. I will not go back and now I'm sad because I love Basin Robbins ice cream. =( read more

BR31! Who does not love ice cream?! My daughter and I venture here usually following a day at the park. The people are really patient and awesome, mostly young and full of energy. The cake decorator and staff does an amazing job taking cake orders as I have yet to be disappointed or receive something other than how I ordered it. The pricing is usual, standard for an ice cream shop. I usually order my daughter the regular scoop since the kid scoop is only a few cents cheaper. The serving portions are generous as well as their topping portions. The parking lot can get hectic and crowded especially in warmer months. Even when it's colder out, the parking lot can be packed due to the other shops that share the space and parking. It's near Del Norte Bart if you feel like a 15-20 minute walk, with a little person I wouldn't recommend. The ice cream is fresh, never frost bitten or tastes sour. There is no indoor seating since the pandemic. The indoor space is small and can get pretty crowded with a few people waiting in line. The noise level is average, not unbearable and definitely not quiet. There is not really any place to sit and enjoy your cone or cup other than your car or its hood. Don't forget to sign up for your birthday cone, it's a free kids size scoop within a week of your birthday. Enjoy! read more

I walked in at 9:00 PM. There were 3 guys behind the register. I stood there waiting to be helped. One guy said to the other guy in Punjabi she's waiting to be helped. The other guy responded back in Punjabi saying she can wait until I finish sweeping. Mind you I was the only customer there and they were speaking that way about me not knowing I was Punjabi. I stood there waiting until I finally spoke up because it didn't appear that they wanted to help. I intentionally spoke in Punjabi and the guy looked shocked. If you care about being treated well then this is not the Baskin Robbins for you. Especially if you understand Punjabi. read more

I LOVE ICE CREAM! My favorite was the mint chocolate chip! The service was nice! And the environment is all good!

I didn't get his name but he was super attentive! I couldn't make up my mind. So I kept letting people go in front of me. He still. Asked me are you ready? In between the next customer so kind. I mean he made his way back I've to me. Wow! A1 service! I finally decided and I told him thank you so much for your patience. He said no problem. I got nutty coconut and pecan praline I believe that's the name. I said I'm going to treat myself to a fancy waffle cone chocolate and nuts. Only for chocolate loves real good chocolate. A bit to much for me! Love & learn. He gave me the total and it just seemed way to low! I asked umm are you sure. I didn't want his register to come up short. He was so sweet. He said yes it's 31%off today. I said nice. Right then flop! My double scoop ice cream fell! Embarrassing , he said it's ok give me your cone! While he went to get more scoops ! I cleaned up my ice cream with napkins! He was back in a second! Yes. Ice tip for you.! Well I enjoyed every bite! read more

We chose a cake and altered a few things. The baker did a great job and also we have had good experiences in the past with them understanding our ask and creating it (the word count is small for details). We wanted a white cake with some pink icing and sprinkles around the bottom creating a base for our 1960s plastic translucent animal figures that came on Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor zoos when we were children (sadly they're gone). They looked perfect all over the cake four grandchild's birthday and it was fun sharing something that was so magical with her. The cake tasted great too! (Oreo ice cream and white cake is a great combo and pleased everyone). The staff could have been better organized at pick up time because I called to be sure that it was ready and within 5 mins was in the store for pick up but still had to have two people check before it was brought out. read more

Baskin-Robbins - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - El Cerrito, California

As a child, I used to call Baskin-Robbins by its selling proposition, "31 Flavors", and force my mom to take me to one of their parlors after my Cub Scouts meetings. More recently, Google Maps actually mentions Baskin-Robbins by name when you turn onto Moeser Lane from San Pablo Blvd. In other words, Baskin-Robbins has been around forever and will probably never be out of existence. I have to believe that reality must explain the unapologetically rude service I received here. And I received it only after they were finished ignoring me. Clearly I threw away any common sense I possessed when I caved into my curiosity about their new Mangonada. I ordered a small one for $5.09 at an alleged 300 calories. No mango fruit chunks and no tamarind stick, just an oversweetened purée mixed with chamoy and peppery sea salt (photo: https://bit.ly/3ocGYbM). It wasn't worth repeating. I meant the overall experience more than the mangonada. MANGONADA - 2 stars...just another overly sweet slushie AMBIANCE - 2 stars...yep, this was Baskin-Robbins alright SERVICE - 1 star...rudeness doesn't have 31 flavors, just one TOTAL - 1 star...so much for my memories of the Cub Scouts . Good location. Great stop for a cone or a shake on a hot day or to pick up some already packaged ice cream. I do wish they'd work on the friendliness a bit yet the shakes are good nonetheless . read more

You'll get the vibe that they don't want customers. Nobody in there wants to work. You'll be standing there for minutes before anyone behind the counter asks what you'd like. Ordering in person and even going in for pick-up is like pulling teeth. I don't want anyone to suffer scooping ice cream on my account. I'll go to Jayvee's for a tub instead, all good. read more

The service was fast. I ordered a 2 scoop rocky road sundae. I had to ask the lady for fresh ice cream because the old bin was almost empty and the ice cream looked dark and I didn't want that. It's OK - they have a lot of flavors with allergen heads up- gluten free, dairy free, sorbets, sherberts, etc. - nutrition info, etc. The service was hard to understand (the shop is kinda loud?), and two kids size scoops of vanilla with rainbow sprinkles in a cup, nothing fancy, put me back about $10 total not including tip. There's no seating either. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but for niche things like photo cakes or BR_specific flavors I think it would work. read more

So disappointed! Took a mile walk for ice cream and was wishing I had never left the house. It was nice to see other people had the same idea I had; going out for ice cream. I ordered Butter Pecan and got everything but the pecans. We had to ask the man serving us twice to put gloves on. Once he did that I asked to taste a certain flavor. He was going to use the spoon he had been twirling in his hands and touching the counter with. I asked for a different spoon. He didn't seem to mind. I ordered my ice cream. He served my ice cream from a new barrel he had just opened. The only thing is...there were NO pecans in the top of the barrel. I didn't notice until I walked out and ate two bites. I could of walked back and asked to have it changed. I didn't because I felt like I had already asked him twice to put gloves on and once for a new spoon. This was, unfortunately, an expensive learning lesson. Usually when I am not satisfied with a service I go back and give the establishment another try. I mean, we all have bad days. I won't be doing that this time. I'll find another place for ice cream! read more

We stopped by here today for the first time because we had some T-Mobile offers to redeem. There was a bit of a wait outside due to social distancing protocols that restricted maximum number of patrons inside to just 5. Never all waiting areas were clearly marked on the ground and everyone was adhering to guidelines and wearing masks, including all employees. After some mulling, we decide to go for 2 quarts of ice cream, and a double scoop Sunday (gotta satisfy our sweet tooth for Sunday Funday). The employee helping us behind the counter was very friendly and efficient. And we were in and out of there as quickly as could possibly allow given our own indecisions surrounding what to order. Store looked very clean and well maintained. And all staff wore gloves when handling any food and food related items. PS - the ice cream was delicious read more

I gone here because this is the only Baskin Robbins nearby me. I would go to Emeryville for Baskin Robbins but that is a bit farther. I could go to Vallejo but I rather not pay for toll to cross the bridge. This location is small with limited table inside. The service inside is good. They offer a flavor for me to try out and I took their suggestion. It was a good suggestion that I took and I like what they offer me. I purchased three scoops and i was given 3 kid scoops not even whole scoops. When I questioned the person serving me she said its because the manager has told them to give kid scoops when they are giving three scoops. I was in this shop yesterday and wanted to purchase a quart of hand pack with half black walnut and half nutty coconut as that's the combo I like. I was told that I couldn't have 2 flavors in the same quart and would have to buy 2 different quarts. I have bought ice cream from this Baskin Robbins for more years than I can remember. And for over at least 30 years I have bought handpacked and customized the flavors with 2 different flavors as the price of the ice cream is not by flavor, but by weight. If you want one flavor or two. Same as if you want a 2 scoop cone or sundae with one scoop vanilla and one scoop chocolate ice cream. I didn't buy ice cream because I didn't want 2 quarts and I won't be returning. read more

Our friend had baked a cake and it was the middle of stone fruit season so I thought Peach Ice Cream! We were down the block and across the street so we moved our car to the street next to Baskin Robbins. Someone had done quite a number to the tree right outsidethe restaurant because it was blocking the sidewalk and we had to walk around it to get inside. There were three customers waiting and two employees serving them. We went over to the display freezers and took a look at the selection. I looked in each freezer twice to make sure that I didn't miss it and then across the front of the scoop freezers to see if they were serving Peach. No such luck. Or at least I didn't see it. Needless to say, I was disppointed. Even more so when we spent four minutes in the restaurant and no one asked if they could help us. read more
