    partially eaten apple fritter
    Judy K.

I was reading a friend's review, when I ended up looking up donuts and found a review for this place. I've passed by this place often going home and when I go to Subway, next door for my $5 footlong. But had never wanted to go in. Well, today I decided I would give it a try since I saw it on yelp and isn't most stuff on yelp worth trying? I got an apple fritter and my bf got a filled glazed donut. The regular donuts are $0.75 and the so-called fancy donuts, like my apple fritter and danishes were $1.50. You can also get your donut filled with creme, strawberry jelly, or custard for $0.50. The donuts were just ok. Comparable to the donuts from the Safeway bakery. Actually, Safeway's a little better and cheaper. They also had teriyaki chicken, ribs, fried rice and ice cream all in one shop. Maybe someday, I'll come back and try something else.

general rules what questions can a covered entry employees to determine if a dog is service animal
    Marta C.

If I could give zero stars I would. My father is a disabled man with one leg he has a service animal we went to get donuts they come out with "the boss" he ask if it's a service animal we say yes and he is asking for papers. Ok I politely say it's illegal for him to ask for paper work. And luckily we have encountered enough people that i keep her paperwork with me on my phone at all times. My father is an impatient man and hates being discriminated for having one leg so usually I talk but this "boss" kept asking and refused service because I was telling him it was illegal to ask about the paperwork. I eventually showed him our paper work but he still decided to refuse service. This is discrimination. These people in the food industry need to be educated on the laws around their business and what he can and cannot say regarding a service animal! https://www.ada.gov/regs2010/service_animal_qa.html here is a link to the pages maybe they will read it!! But I'm sure it felt horrible for my dad to be discriminated and humiliated for his disability!!!

Inside, I ordered a small assortment of donuts and a croissant breakfast sandwich, which had bacon, egg, and cheese layered together so perfectly it felt almost indulgent. The first bite confirmed it: absolutely delicious. I found myself wanting to share the experience, to post a review and add photos of their menu for curious Yelpers who might wander in, wondering what this hidden gem had to offer. Their donuts were soft and sweet, the kind that make you pause for a moment before taking another bite. And the sandwiches, every one of them is made to order. You can hear the eggs cracking, the steak hitting the grill, the hash browns frying. Nothing microwaved, nothing rushed. Just honest, fresh cooking. If you ever find yourself short on time but craving something warm, wholesome, and genuinely satisfying, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this little spot. It's the kind of place that brightens a morning before you even realize you needed it.

I've reached that point where overly sugary donuts just feel like too much, and these hit a nice balance. They're still satisfying, just without that overwhelming sugar rush that leaves you regretting it halfway through. They also offer a lunch special that's pretty hard to beat for the price, a burger, fries, and a drink all bundled together. It's nothing fancy or over-the-top--just straightforward, classic comfort food done right. Sometimes that's exactly what you want, and they deliver on that without trying to reinvent anything.

My wife and I used to live just across the street and we'd start out mornings by strolling over and enjoying some freshly made donuts. The husband and wife owners were always so friendly and welcoming too! It's been 10+ years since we moved away but I was in the neighborhood yesterday and decided to visit the old spot. Lots of changes in the plaza and surrounding area, but Donut Time has persevered. I walked in and the glorious display of donuts was same as it ever was! This time, I was greeted by a very cool young gal and she was chatty and patient while I figured out what I wanted. I got my wife a chocolate raised and chocolate twist. And I chose my favorite maple bar and maple filled. Btw one of the reasons why Donut Time is the best is that they don't skimp on the frosting like some unnamed local spots. I would've taken pics but we kinda scarfed em down already.

I am so disappointed at the food changes and feeling bad to give a bad review as I love supporting small businesses and love Salvadorean food. There's a lot of room to improve. I've been eating Salvi food since I was child. If you order to go check before you leave. I had an item missing. I called and was able to get a refund. She handled it nice too since she forgot to add it. I took food to go. I added pictures on all. The tamales both chipilin and pork were good. The masa was excellent. The size was small to medium. The pupusas are tiny, they are good but nothing extraordinary. As they are small there's no cheese stretch or a good feel about the filling. The masa is good. The quesadilla pasty was crumbly, it did not feel fresh. It was dry with no flavor compared to ones I've eaten before. The best Salvi quesadillas are moist. The guava, pineapple, and custard empanada pastry were small. The pineapple one did not feel fresh, more on the dry side, crumbly compared to other flavors. The pork empanada was probably the worst. They were tiny with hardly any filling. The empanadas usually have a ground meat or shredded chicken. This one had pieces of pork so it was not flavorful at all. There's table seating indoors and outdoors. The yucca con chicharron was okay too. Usually it comes with a salad like but this one came with 1 beet, 1 slice of tomato and 1 slice of cucumber with a small bag of curtido. No sauce. Tip: The server gave me a business card and recommended to call for orders to go as the waiting time was 30 minutes. I did not mind waiting. I appreciated her sharing this. Tip: recommend the pork tamal. The pupusas if hungry get at least 3.
