5 stars for the appearance of their cakes--they look incredible and seem absolutely delicious…read more 4 stars for their knowledge about their products--they clearly know their craft and what they offer. 3 stars for initial communication--they came across as friendly and were generally quick to respond. However, response times were inconsistent, especially during weekends or depending on the time of day. 1 star for overall communication experience when it came to finalizing the order. There were no clear instructions on how to make a payment or any timeline for placing the order. It felt like they weren't interested in securing the sale. A simple follow-up or closing question could've made the difference and helped move things forward. That's the minimum expectation in customer service. I was genuinely excited to place an order, but this experience was extremely disappointing. Because of that, I felt it warranted knocking off a star. This is just my personal experience, but I'd still say--if you plan to order, be clear, be prepared, and place your order well in advance.

I ordered a gender reveal cake here for me and my wife. When we went to order, we brought the…read moregender in an envelope and told the person taking our order that we don't know the gender and we don't want to find out until we cut the cake. She was nice and helped us choose a cake that would meet our needs. I reminded her after the order was completed that I would be the one picking up the cake and I do not want it to be revealed what the gender is to me. When I went to go pick up the cake, the cake box was smaller than the cake so we couldn't close it properly to transport it safely. But I did notice pink on the top layer icing and I went back to the guy and asked him to cover it up. Instead of just covering the imperfection on an all white cake, he said you know the color on the inside is blue right? And i told him, no I don't but now the surprise is ruined. After being extra careful for a week to not know what the gender was going to be before the reveal. The person who packed the cake decided to get defensive about the imperfection on the all white cake and say what the color is on the inside. All I asked was to cover the imperfection so the cake is solid white like we ordered and not tell me what the color on the inside was. It was truly disappointing that they would try to argue the imperfection as it was clearly pink on top corner than to cover it with more white icing. Wouldn't recommend getting a gender reveal cake here. Truly ruined a good moment for us by having bad customer service skills.

I am so disappointed at the food changes and feeling bad to give a bad review as I love supporting small businesses and love Salvadorean food. There's a lot of room to improve. I've been eating Salvi food since I was child. If you order to go check before you leave. I had an item missing. I called and was able to get a refund. She handled it nice too since she forgot to add it. I took food to go. I added pictures on all. The tamales both chipilin and pork were good. The masa was excellent. The size was small to medium. The pupusas are tiny, they are good but nothing extraordinary. As they are small there's no cheese stretch or a good feel about the filling. The masa is good. The quesadilla pasty was crumbly, it did not feel fresh. It was dry with no flavor compared to ones I've eaten before. The best Salvi quesadillas are moist. The guava, pineapple, and custard empanada pastry were small. The pineapple one did not feel fresh, more on the dry side, crumbly compared to other flavors. The pork empanada was probably the worst. They were tiny with hardly any filling. The empanadas usually have a ground meat or shredded chicken. This one had pieces of pork so it was not flavorful at all. There's table seating indoors and outdoors. The yucca con chicharron was okay too. Usually it comes with a salad like but this one came with 1 beet, 1 slice of tomato and 1 slice of cucumber with a small bag of curtido. No sauce. Tip: The server gave me a business card and recommended to call for orders to go as the waiting time was 30 minutes. I did not mind waiting. I appreciated her sharing this. Tip: recommend the pork tamal. The pupusas if hungry get at least 3.
