This is nice place, been in several times. The service is good and they do have a good variety of deserts. Their Dubai chocolate with strawberries, affogato, waffles are one of my favorites. Got the shake and it was pretty good. It's a great location, right off of San Pablo Ave. Nice to see a dessert spot to go to because there is not too many.
I did Uber Eats for this order, so I can't comment much on the customer service or atmosphere, but A LOT of the kataifi (the crunchy strings) were burnt, which made it unpleasant to eat. I also am not sure if it was supposed to include pieces of real pistachio, but I couldn't get much flavor from the pistachio sauce. I also feel they could've been more generous with the pistachio sauce. Some of the strawberries tasted sour while others taste over ripe. Not all strawberries were coated with at least an okay amount with chocolate. I do wish the waffle would've came with a few more pieces of fruit. There was more strawberry than kiwi. I mean, that's why we are paying for the fruit right? I don't know if I'll want to come back again

Great customer service. I'm wondering if the owner helped us- but whoever they were- they were super kind and patient. We had paletas and the toppings were very generous imo. In addition, they were made on the spot. Very clean, a few family groups and a couple were inside- there are about two tables outside for additional seating. We didn't see a trash receptacle inside but were able to place our trash in the outside receptacle. Parking is on the street and if next door establishment is closed I believe vehicles can also park there. I've also had good outcomes thru door dash with this desert bar- give it a try!
Great atmosphere and customer service. Even though we came in just 15 minutes before closing, the staff took their time explaining to us what the items were and it was our first time here. We ordered a bubble waffle Cookie Monster. They still made the bubble waffle fresh regardless of the time food taste great will definitely be back again.

Yo!! A line out the door on a Friday night!! What a great spread of options. I only got a scoop of cookie monster (a blue vanilla ice cream with cookie dough and Oreo pieces), but it was well worth it! Those bubble cone specialties?? WOW they looked incredible! I will try one next time!
"Count the Blessings, Not the Calories" Owner Edgar Padilla put in pink neon in a red frame on the wall of this friendly ice cream shop. Oh God, if only that could really happen, but I'm from the Rhoda Morgenstern School of Weight Management. She would've said something like, "Why am I eating this waffle and ice cream? I should just apply it directly to my thighs." That explains why it's been well over a year between visits. On my first visit last year, I was overwhelmed by the pictorial menu mostly because it was just pictures without descriptions much less calorie counts. I just went with my gut - pardon the irony - and ordered the $10.95 Belgium Delight Liege Waffle. The waffle was appropriately crisp. It was covered in fresh strawberry slices and whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup. It was topped with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream (photo: https://yelp.to/-hadgAQC5C). Sure, it was yummy in a carnival midway kind of way, and presumably that's the way customers prefer it. Flash forward to yesterday, and I found myself lured by the shop again. Why not? Crispy waffle that goes so well with their ice cream. Plenty of flavors and combinations to make. Idk if they make the ice cream themselves there too but it's really good and flavorful and it's not too sweet. Perfect dessert spot, get here after going next door to Tacos El Tucan. It's a great dinner dessert combo

The desserts here are delicious! I had the liege waffles with Nutella and strawberry. The waffle came out hot and a little crispy, and the strawberries were super fresh. Would def come back to try more!
Kind staff - if you're desperate for something sweet (and happen To be near) this may appease your cravings I mean honestly I won't go out of my way for a waffle dessert but i was literally next door getting tacos and wanted something sweet. I'd say it'a a novel idea and adds to some of the new businesses attempting to thrive in this neighborhood but I wouldn't come here again. The highlight is the ice cream and whipped cream hut the waffle is thick and tasteless. Reminds me of a paper plate - something to serve the other confection on

There were so many options to choose from and everything tasted delicious. Definitely stumbled upon this place but if I live local, I'd be there every day. They had a very delicious waffles with ice cream, cream, and milk milkshakes alongside other ice cream options. Very delicious and very nice service. read more

This place is fairly new in the neighborhood I believe. They have all kinds of Ice cream, beverages, and waffle cones. If you bring your receipt from El Tucan next door you will receive 10% off your ice cream order. The lady behind the counter is super nice & helped me with some ice cream suggestions. read more

Great place for a sweet treat after tacos at Tacos El Tucán. There was a previous review where they had horchata and ube ice cream but they didn't have the flavors today. Nevertheless, the flavors we did try were great. The best part were the bubble waffles--texture and flavor were perfect. read more

The desserts here are so good if you're looking for a real sweet treat!!! If you are watching calories then this may not be the most ideal place lol. But love the staff, they are super friendly. The menu is simple (ice cream, shakes, waffles) yet offer a great variety of options and flavors. This time I got a mocha shake and it did not disappoint!! read more

Omg this place is so cute and has so many sweets. Now days they have a kiosks which makes it so much easier to add whatever toppings. They are super nice at this establishment i love coming to get ice cream. My favorite is the Belgium Delight with strawberry ice cream. read more

First time here. We ordered 2 bubble waffles -- very berry and chur-waffle. Fast service. Friendly and sweet staff! Amazing ice cream treats. We especially enjoyed the thick and creamy ice cream (raspberry and horchata) and the fresh fruit (strawberries and blueberries. Can't wait to try more flavors. read more

This is a great place to go grab some ice cream as a treat. I went there and tried the Cookie Monster ice cream and it was pretty good. It was definitely very sweet, had chocolate drizzle and cookie chunks, but I shared it and it was just enough sweetness for two! The waffle cone was also very yummy and freshly made. The service was a bit slow but they the staff was very kind and were doing a good job! The ambiance inside was also very cute, it's a nice place to sit and eat some ice cream! read more
I don't know how this place could possibly get anything other than 5 stars. You leave happily gorging on ice cream, sugar and whipped cream. If that doesn't make you happy, I feel sorry for you. The liege waffle was the best pick because it's given to you warm, slightly crisp on the edges from the crystallized sugar and the perfect chew to go along with the whipped cream and cold ice cream. The bubble waffle was a bit more dense in the middle than what we're used to at boba places. It's got more of a mochi texture than regular bubble waffles we've had before. It's still good, but super filling compared to the liege waffle. Overall, I left gripping my waffle trying to eat it as fast as I could before the ice cream melted over that warm waffle. Worth the $9.75 price tag. Will definitely be back! read more

Delicious waffles! I used to do to a similar place in Berkeley, glad Richmond has a local place now. Great location, plenty of street parking. Good ambiance! They do get busy but they are quick and it's worth the short wait. read more

Right next door to tacos el Tucan, while we waited for our food we saw this cute ice cream shop. Freezing outside, yet we still craving some ice cream! Cute little spot, excited to see what this place is about! Smelled so sweet inside and delicious I couldn't wait to try what they had. I seen that they had horchata ice cream, yes you heard me, horchata ice cream!!! Definitely a must!! I fell in love with that ice cream it was so creamy, sweet, and delicious!! My bf fell in love with it too, when we are in Richmond we always try to make our way here to grab some ice cream, especially the horchata one! read more

So fun!!!!! I had a hankering for chocolate ice cream on the way home Sunday evening and we searched for an ice cream shop between Oakland and Vallejo landed in Richmond at this establishment. Upon entering it smelled divine the aroma of fresh baked goods or sugar and waffles - I mean you can't deny it.. I just wanted scoop of chocolate or coffee ice cream and that's what I ordered on a sugar cone. However, the specialty is this waffle dessert, cake item that you can have topped - not a waffle cone, but a cake product. My daughter ordered that with some toppings literally between my ice cream cone and her little dessert order.... we had so much fun enjoying all the flavors and textures. I highly recommend this place. The only drawback is that the menu is super confusing and it's very expensive because each waffle item is 10.95 to start . My cone and her waffle.,which did not include ice cream, totaled about 18 bucks. read more

Waffles & Cream, you had me at your freshly made waffles and the ice cream you use for all of your delectable treats! Located on San Pablo Avenue near the intersection of Clinton Avenue in Richmond, California. Waffles & Cream represents a renaissance of sorts for this area as both of their neighbors, one being a taqueria the other being a trendy cocktail bar are too relatively new to the neighborhood, as all three businesses took over from businesses that have been closed for years and whose new homes needed a full remodel. Thankfully Waffles & Cream is one of those new businesses making this area of Richmond a must visit, and who knew that would be said in recent years. Places like Richmond need places like Waffles & Cream as a gathering place because a) who doesn't like ice cream and b) families need a place where they could enjoy and walk to from their homes and Waffles & Cream serves both purposes. When I saw the "coming soon" sign up as they were remodeling the place, I knew I had to make this a destination on a warm day, and that day finally arrived for me one recent weekday that was unseasonably warm. Finding parking along Clinton Avenue was an easy task since it was in the afternoon on a weekday and thankfully when I entered they weren't that busy. I love their interior as its simple and a picture taking lover's paradise as there is a huge neon sign that says "Count the Blessings Not the Calories." Truer words have never been spoken. Of course many people come for scoops and cones of ice cream, but at Waffles & Cones, there is so much more. Start with their name, it's not just waffle cones they sell, it's actually waffles, freshly made with a homemade batter and in two styles: a bubble waffle traditionally seen in Asia, and a liege waffle traditionally seen in the U.S. and Europe. In addition to ice cream by the scoop served in a cone or cup, their menu also has their Signature Bubble Waffles which are waffles wrapped as a cone with a scoop of ice cream in the middle, the menu at Waffles & Cream also has Specialty Liege Waffles in which the ice cream is scooped on top, they also have Express Liege Waffles which have no ice cream, and Shakes, which was my primary desire upon this first visit. Although many of their Shakes sounded delicious there was something about their Salted Caramel Shake, which was made with vanilla ice cream, crushed pretzels, whole milk and topped with caramel sauce house whipped cream that was calling my name so I ordered that Shake. And since I saw their customer service representative Emely dutifully making a waffle and having that smell waft throughout the entire restaurant, I asked her which of the waffles were popular and one of her suggestions was their Banana Caramel Express Liege Waffle which was a freshly made Belgian Waffle topped with fresh bananas, caramel sauce, chocolate sprinkles, and house made whipped cream. It would take a short time for Emely to put in my order and handcraft both my Shake and Waffle, but the wait was well worth it. Everything, from the waffle being warm and extra fruity thanks to the freshness of all of the elements to the shake rich with creamy flavor thanks to the extra bits of pretzels and generous amounts of caramel were delicious upon first taste. Was it decadent? It sure was and I wouldn't have it any other way despite the weather being so warm outside and feasting on a warm fresh waffle was not on my priority list. My total bill for this visit was $17.68, which for meals in this neighborhood is on the pricier side. But with all of the fresh ingredients that they use, this is now the new normal and to be expected. For the city of Richmond to continue to have places like Waffles & Cream, I for one am so thankful they are here feeding the community and beyond with their sweet treats. I can't wait to come back and enjoy another delectably created delight, perhaps their signature Specialty Bubble Waffle with a scoop of ice cream for myself and a friend to enjoy. But who are we kidding? I'm coming by myself and for myself because this is the way that waffle cones should be enjoyed as the blessings and not calories are forever being counted at Waffles & Cream! read more

Quick "treat your self" stop after a 2 hour hike. Ordered at the outside window and service was super helpful and patient as it was our first visit looking at the menu. The Cookie Monster and Minty Cookie Twisties were amazing as was the Chocolate Milkshake. Gotta come back for the food! Looks like good amount of indoor and partially outdoor dining available too. read more

FINALLY the waffle place be open!!! And it's everything a i've been hoping, longing, and yearning for the last 2 years. It's not really lunch or dinner kind of waffles, just really dessert kind of waffles. If you know Belgian style waffles this is your bag, baby. Lots of variety of sweets toppings and it yum YUM! ! Plus they have ice cream, milk shakes, and a few pre-packages beverages. My wife allergic to gluten, hopefully she'll come with me and enjoy some of these gluten-free sweety options. I really like the branding and the location, too. This is another standout place between the standout Factory Bar and the standout Tacos El Tucan! read more

New Desert spot in the 510! This place is convenient for the location because there is a bar/club next door and taco food trucks outfront. This desert spot is creative with the food they serve. I ordered the Strawberry Nutella Express with a scoop of Horchata ice cream. The waffle was not soggy, it's structure was still in shape. The staff was friendly and helpful if you have questions or concerns. The vibe of this place is a great spot to hangout. I'd come to try other things on the menu read more
