Authentic mex! Pueblo style, don't let parking lot deter you! Highly recommend. Salsa is ! Will be back

Quesabirrias tacos

I found this spot near my hotel, which was the courtyard in Richmond and when I parked, I actually hesitated to go inside. The shopping center that it's in is pretty much abandoned and the outside of the restaurant wasn't too pleasing to the eye. When I walked inside, it's actually really small with three tables and not too pretty inside. But I wasn't ordering to eat there so it's all about the food. . I was pleasantly surprised with my food. I ordered the quesobirria tacos. They were very generous with the meat and cheese. The shell was so crispy without being oily. It was super delicious. Service was quick and friendly.

Still the same flavors! I swear the burritos have gotten bigger (though prices have increased 2-3 dollars since my last visit...). Salsas are a great accompaniment to the burritos. Definitely want to try their Birria Pizza someday!

Get the Pizza Birria - it took me us to Flavor Town! She's a pricey one at $40 but we were curious first timers and it proved to be quite worth it! Chef is very generous with the pulled stew beef and birria sauce.

The birria had NO flavor!! I visited this spot on a quiet Tuesday afternoon, and while the service was quick and the portions generous, the food itself was disappointing. The birria lacked any flavor. I even grabbed my own hot sauce from the car, but it didn't make much of a difference. Overall, the experience was just okay at best.

I have uploaded some pictures and attached notes so you will know what to expect. Overall 5 stars for the food. It's more expensive than some places but worth it if you will pay for quality taste. We had the carnitas super burrito for just under $19 tax included.

My husband and I were starving after picking up some items that we purchased near by. After a brief Yelp search, we decided to dine at El Sabor De Guadalajara, which is across the street from where Hilltop Mall used to be. The restaurant is cozy with limited seating, so just keep that in mind if you plan on dining here. Upon entering, we approached the cash register where one of the young workers was doodling on one of the ordering sheets. She was quite knowledgeable of the menu and even brought our food out to us once it was complete. The food is delicious! My burrito and my husband's street tacos were well seasoned and quite savory. They give you decent portion sizes as well, so we left full. Overall, El Sabor De Guadalajara has delicious food! Give it a try whenever you are in the area and craving Mexican food!

SUPPORT FAMILY OWNED LOCAL BUSINESSES! Wanted to try someplace other than my go to's and stumbled on this gem. Ordering is easy. They have menus on the wall, tv, and a classic menu. We ordered the quesabirria and a veggie burrito. Very fast service. From order to take out, I was gone in less than 15 minutes. For the vegetarians, the rice is made with chicken broth, the beans are vegetarian. Made with fresh ingredients, I even had cucumber in my burrito which added a mind blowing crunch to it. Dine in or take out, cash or card, serves breakfast, parking lot.

We drove out to this little taqueria not quite knowing what to expect, but also having sligthly elevated expectations based on what we had read thus far. We decided to go for the much talked-about quesabirrias, and each of a chicken taco and shrimp taco. I am no expert on quesabirrias, but all I can wholeheartedly vouch for is the deliciousness of this dish. I guess it's not easy to go wrong with melted cheese on seared toasty tacos enveloping very well seasoned shredded meat. But I tell ya, the flavour profile got amped up when you dip it in the "au jus" (if one can call it that) and have all that spicy greasy juiciness dance with your tastebuds. It's definitely not for those on a diet, but it's ok as a once-weekly taco-treat. Speaking of tacos, the lovely seared chicken in the chicken tacos weren't bad either. I loved the seared diced chicken but it could have used some salsa on it. It was a little dry but full of flavour nonetheless. The plump and juicy shrimp taco was not lacking in succulence. It, however, could have used a little more sear, and a slightly tangier salsa verde. Which leads me, last (as well as the least), to the Chips and salsa. The green salsa was mild and runny, while red had the right texture and packed quite the punch. Alas, most of the tortilla chips were shattered and at least a third of it was just odds and ends. But hey, we didn't come here for the chips and salsa (though it wouldn't hurt to improve those). Come here for the food. Not for the ambiance. Cards accepted. Order at the counter and they will bring the food out to you. There are a couple of tables outside (and it can get pretty fumy inside when they fire up a that griddle).

Craving Quesabirria I usually go to my favorite spots but decided to give a chance to a local shop. Yelp to my rescue Once I arrived tons of patrons in for lunch. Seating is limited but you can always opt to sit outside. Results= great flavors and satisfied

Birria ramen so good $13.57 with taxes

Stawwwwp it .. BIRRIA... and RAMEN??? My two couch potato loves together! El sabor is across from hilltop mall. Small storefront with the most rickety door .. but I digress. I'm sure everything is good here but I can only vouch for the Birria ramen (very pricey with tax at $13.57) which was so dang tender and flavorful with all the additions (onions cilantro etc) comes with a side of hot oil and limes . How did I not know Tapatio made ramen though????

We had tacos on a Saturday around 1 PM. The place had available tables, the service was quick, and the staff was very friendly. The food was ready in about 10 minutes and it was delicious. Highly recommended!

I can see why there are so many good reviews for this place! One of the best burritos I've had! Lots of filling, very juicy, and comes with complimentary chips and salsa! Definitely another restaurant to add for when I need to get a good burrito. It's also close to home. Literally, a hidden gem.

Its a casual, Korean cafe located in a small strip mall and adjacent to Hernandez Park. The name is a bit of a misnomer. Yes they specialize in a variety of bone-in, Korean Fried Chicken with multiple flavor options. But turn the menu over and you'll see even more options for bento boxes, tofu soup, hot stone rice dishes (dolsot) and more. Service was fast and friendly, but don't overstay your welcome since the restaurant is small and very popular. Bulgolgi bento was awesome - it comes with ita own banchan, japchae, fried gyoza, and a food portion of beef that our 6yo som devoured by himself. Chicken Dolsot was also a solid dish - I like having veggies, carbs, and proteins all in one on a sizzling bowl with a fried egg. Wife and her bestie shared a half order of soy garlic KFC, which were large, crispy, and sticky. Its my favorite KFC flavor and wished we got a full order so I can have some more, LOL. Definitely keeping this place in mind for future visits. A good dinner takeout place if I ever need to work late from Richmond during evening commute.

Hidden gem in El Sobrante that serves up some of the best Laotian and Thai food in the Bay Area…read more Every time we visit, must-orders are the Nam Khao (crispy rice ball salad with fermented pork sausage and fresh herbs) and Ka Soy (Laotian noodle soup). If you see Nam Khao on the menu of a Laotian/Thai restaurant, that means they know what they are doing just because it's so labor-intensive to make a salad(!) and the fermented pork has to be damn-near perfect for this salad to really shine and round out the fresh herbs and seasonings which includes lime juice, vinegar, and fish sauce. Ka Soy (the noodle soup) is a comfort food enjoyed in Southeast Asia. It's not the Thai-style where it's a curry broth and the noodles are fried, so let's not get it mixed up. Instead, it's bone broth that been simmered for hours and it's somewhat a lighter broth. The noodles are wide rice noodles in a big bowl of hot broth served with a mixture of ground pork cooked down with tomatoes along with fresh bean sprouts, scallions, and cilantro - simply a divine noodle soup that a must-try. It's not overly complex in terms of flavor, but it's a bowl of good ol' noodle soup that is comforting and great-tasting. If you haven't tried Laotian food, give Sue's Kitchen a try. try some new flavors and you may just become a regular (if you aren't already). The owners are friendly too!
