    Caldo de Birria

I was so hungry that I dove into my food. The birria soup was so good, warm and soothing. I enjoyed it. Would definitely go back and try other things.

Ate at this Mexican restaurant because it was selected by " The birthday girl" it's her favorite restaurant in Richmond. She enjoyed her ground beef enchilada and chile relleno. With that said, this is my take on it;Quick disclaimer I am Mexican and my mother was an outstanding cook so my expectations are high. I got the chile relleno and the chile was hard to cut not to mention the sauce was some canned tomatoes with sautéed onions. No spice, corners were cut because the poblano chiles should cut like butter when prepared correctly. Then we ordered what they call chimichangas...they need to fix that name because what we got were flautas with a chipotle sauce they tasty but definitely not a chimichanga. The Jamaica agua Fresca was delightful. They had fresh refried beans and the Mexican rice was pretty good. Now the birria was a huge disappointment. I ordered a sope and the sope was nice it had that crispy but chewy texture that you want when eating one but the birria had this cinnamon aftertaste, yuk. I took a 2nd bite to make sure I wasn't trippen. So gross, I decided to pack that thing up and bring it to my little Siamese cat, she will appreciate it. They have great guacamole and the salsa and chips were also good. The restaurant is clean, they have a great hostess that is very attentive he came by several times to check up on us. Now the waitress was another story. I asked for tortillas and she vanished never came back. I would only come back to be a supportive team player, but for those of you that are into Taco Bell, dell taco and jack in the box tacos you will probably enjoy this spot.

Pulpo a la diablo- so tasty while having a nice kick to it!

One of my friends invited us out since this was on her side of the Bay and it was delicious! We made it before the dinner rush so we were seated immediately. Our waitress immediately came over with waters and menus. The restaurant was comfy and warm and just full of good vibes. We ordered the chimichangas for appetizers (which were delicious). I also ordered a Cadillac Margarita with a tajin rim (flavorful) and the Pulpo a la Diablo (spicy and delicious). It definitely was worth the drive!

I enjoyed the food. The chicken tacos were good. The salsa was good. The chips were nice. The atmosphere is cool. No complaints. The staff was friendly and the place was clean.

The first thing I noticed as I was waiting to be seated was a signed that basically said "no more free chips and salsa due to inflation"! Wow! Well we were seated right away and immediately saw that their menu has a wide selection of delicious food to choose from including a variety of fish items which I love. We got the dos and tres amigos fajitas combo tonight along with a couple of Cadillac margaritas! The food was served sizzling hot with good portions and was actually quite tasty however one other thing that stood out again was that we were additionally charged when we asked for more tortillas (we got only 3 each) and it was almost the cost of a full pack at the store.... SMH! The drinks were good though and the service was good with a decent parking lot in the back with an outside seating area as well. I really wanted to give 4 stars but we spent over $100 and felt a little nickel and dimed at the end.

    Prices increased substantially
    Erica B.

I was about to order delivery and the cost of chicken fajitas is now $28.69, and $22 for a super burrito. I get everyone is raising prices but these inflated prices + delivery fee is a lot.

    Horchata

My family of 10 and I enjoy eating here for birthdays and other occasions. I enjoy drinking a horchata and eat either steak fajitas or chicken enchiladas. My dad, uncle, and grandpa drink the margaritas with the Cadillac. My dad also loves the pozole. The service is usually on point especially since we have a large party. Chips. The only problem that we have with this place is the cake cutting fee. We don't think too strongly of the cake cutting fee, therefore for birthdays we take the cake and eat it at my grandparents house

This place is so amazing!!! The ambiance, the service, the food and drinks!!! There is a reason why the parking lot os always full! They have daily deals and you cam watch the game here. There is also a full bar. My go to is the seafood enchiladas and Chile relleno, absolutely amazing. The flavors in both are top tier. Full of flavor!!!! The green sauce they use on the enchiladas is creamy and full of amazing flavors. When i feel like being fat, I get both!!! I highly recommend!!!!

Agave cook's their food to perfection. I gave this place a try several years back when they first open. Which no Yelp was available. I'm glad I payed a visit a second time. For those that know octopus it has to be cooked perfectly. I was really happy the first time that the second time the consistency was espectacular. I had a campechana and my husband had the fajitas. The meat was tender and the taste excellent all the flavors were represented. The beans and authentic rice are also good to highlight on. The service is cordial and very attentive, staff moves fast and is on top of your comfort. Ambiance the place very clean, and very pleasant. I really recommend this place for last minute drinks and dinner.

The service and the food was AMAZING on Mother's Day ! The vibe was good as well. Dinner and drinks were not over priced, like most places. I was also told by the waitress that happy hour is great as well.

Crispy Red Snapper. Came with rice, beans, tortillas and melted butter with garlic.

You can never go wrong here. The food is delicious and the service second to none. I had the Red Snapper and it was off the hook! We are glad we decided to come here. Kudos to all! ~Salvador

Really loved this spot!! The service was lovely. Super friendly and quick. The food is yummy, classic "hot plate" Mexican food. The flavor was pretty good. I liked my tamale plate; the rice was a little bit off somehow, but mostly delicious. The drinks were also a highlight, we all got margaritas including blended ones...delectable. The ambiance is okay, a bit loud with close tables, but the restaurant is really clean (including the bathrooms). Would love to return

Exposed beams lined with old Richmond street signs, vintage photos, leather chairs, soft lighting. It feels thoughtful without feeling staged. You can tell someone cares about the details. The drink program is strong across the board. Good beer selection, a nice mix of wine, and a full bar for cocktails and spirits. What really impressed me, though, was the quality of the cocktails. They are balanced, well-crafted, and made by bartenders who clearly know what they're doing. Some of the best cocktails I've had at any bar, not just locally. The staff is friendly and genuinely helpful. You never feel rushed or overlooked. It feels like a neighborhood place that also happens to take its drinks seriously. And the patio is a standout. String lights woven through the trees, heaters for cooler nights, tucked-away seating that feels almost like someone's backyard gathering spot. It's intimate and relaxed, the kind of space where conversations stretch on longer than you planned. This is not a flashy club and it's not a pretentious cocktail lounge. There's great ventilation, and it's just quite honestly a great space to chill with friends, and also observe all the fun Richmond memorabilia. We also sat in the outdoor space, a super nice garden area that is well-kept and a great option to enjoy on these beautiful sunny days. I had a watermelon margarita and it was so fresh & tasty, I thought it was already summer! Friendly staff and environment filled with regulars and newcomers alike. They seem to have food trucks regularly, and we ordered food to-go from the Brazilian truck outside. Deliciously unique! There's also a few spots nearby you can bring food in from (an ice cream/waffle shop next door and Tacos El Tucan too). We took a ride share, but street parking is available. He's graduated from the curious neighbors and locals featuring his Purity wines, to coop with a dedicated following of passionate organic wine makers and their entourage of fans , Friends devotees; restauranteurs, and media moguls all centered around the notion of organic wines aka a cast of thousands! Damn grapes never had it so good. Case and point Point now following his Instagram account lead by his bike riding enthusiast protege, Tyler, the Study hosted a massive event last weekend. We didn't plan to attend but were curious and anxious to see if it was a success or a bust. The event By the way featured more than 20 wine makers, there was food fun music and when we drove by as nosy neighbors, we heard the music pumping. Wow the crowd was massive!
